Unlike a song, poems dont have a rhythm section. There is no
drummer or conductor establishing the rhythm. Instead, the
rhythm is set by the stresses or accents in the words
themselves.

This is especially important for writing rap poetry

There are no rules, like a cinquain or a haiku, but when you

read aloud you must here the musical beat that is made from
the syllables.
