Principle of Missing Object Diagnosis
The process of creating measurement objects is as follows:

Object
model

M2000
NE configuration
M2000 M2000
performance performance
module module database

Filter
criteria

The principle of diagnosis is as follows: The performance module obtains the

configuration object information from the configuration module, and creates
measurement objects based on the measurement object model defined in the
mediation and filter criteria. Therefore, configuration object instances are more
than or equal to measurement object instances. The diagnosis tool can list the
configuration object information, measurement object information, and filter
criteria. Engineers can locate the cause of object missing by checking whether the
measurement objects that are filtered out by the filter criteria are correct.

Querying Performance Measurement Results
Two modes are provided for querying performance
measurement results:

By criteria
By template

See 4-Querying Performance

Results.mp4.

By Criteria

The counters
that are gray are
not set to be
measured at the
period, and the
counters that are
black are set to
be measured for
at least one NE
at the period.

By Criteria (Continued)

Some counters can be

queried by using this
option. This option becomes
available after Function
subset is selected in the
Organization Style area.

The criteria can be

saved as a query
template.

Querying Neighboring Cell Data
A large deal of traffic statistics on neighboring cells may be generated. If you import all this data
into the database, the database IO may break down and the database space may be insufficient.
Therefore, the traffic statistics on neighboring cells are not to be imported directly into the
database. Instead, they are saved as files. Before you query the data, import the files into the
database. The Import dialog box is as follows:

Counter Thresholds
Benefits
The system monitors the results of the measurement counters of some
measurement objects. If the result of a measurement counter exceeds the
preset threshold, the system generates an alarm.

The total number of simple thresholds and composite thresholds must be smaller than
or equal to 100.
The specifications of monitorable object quantity are added. For example, the quantity
of monitorable objects for mid-range M2000 is 200,000.
