Testigos
DL No. 1029, de fecha 26 de abril de 2006.
Publicado en el Diario Oficial No. 95, Tomo 371, de fecha 25 de
mayo de 2006.
En su artculo 38, la Ley Especial sealaba, que la vigencia de la
misma ser ciento veinte das despus de su publicacin en el
Diario Oficial.
Entra en vigencia el da 22 de septiembre de 2006.

de Victimas y Testigos

 OBJETO
Regular las medidas de proteccin y
atencin que se proporcionarn a las
vctimas, testigos y cualquier otra
persona que se encuentre en
situacin de riesgo o peligro, como
consecuencia de su intervencin en
la investigacin de un delito o en un
proceso judicial.
 PRINCIPIOS
1. PROTECCIN DE LA VIDA, INTEGRIDAD FSICA
Y MORAL, LIBERTAD, PROPIEDAD Y SEGURIDAD
DE LA PERSONA.
2. PROPORCIONALIDAD Y NECESIDAD, RESPONDE
AL NIVEL DE RIESGO O PELIGRO EN QUE SE
ENCUENTRE LA PERSONA DESTINATARIA, Y
SOLO PUEDE SER APLICADA CUANDO FUERE
NECESARIA PARA GARANTIZAR SU SEGURIDAD.
3. CONFIDENCIALIDAD, TODA INFORMACIN
REFERENTE A LA PROTECCIN DE PERSONAS
DEBE SER RESERVADA PARA LOS FINES DE LA
INVESTIGACIN O DEL PROCESO RESPECTIVO.
