MOOT
ALLOTMENT
POLICY
Contd.
It is in this regard, and owing to the fact that we have
more than 30 moots to offer and only 15 teams have
got the requisite 3 ticks - that we have collectively
decided to review our allotment policy for this edition.
It is has always been the endeavour of the committee
to ensure maximum participation and propagation of
mooting activity in the university.
Under the revised system we shall be allotting moots
to 26 teams instead of 15 and we sincerely hope that
such a beneficial policy will find acceptance among
the participants and will bring laurels to the
university.
The Policy
The policy applies form
th
the
9

and
onwards.
Levels
Level I (Umbrella/Qualifier)
- Does the team have 2 ticks or more?
Level II (Win/Loss)
- Teams with 2 wins in the prelims (Group - A)
- Teams with 1 win & 1 loss in the prelims
(Group - B)
- Teams with no wins in the prelims (Group - C)
Level III (Cumulative)
- Rankings based on Cumulative Scores within
the 3 groups (Orals + Memo)
Example
Team X, Y, Z, M, N, O, D, E, F have two ticks or more.
Team X, Y, Z have two wins and have a score of 100,
110 and 80 respectively then the ranks would be
Y>X>Z in that order. (Group - A)
Team M, N, O have 1 win and 1 loss and have a score
of 100, 110 and 80 respectively then the ranks would
be N>M>O in that order. (Group - B)
Team D, E, F have no wins and have a score of 100,
110 and 80 respectively then the ranks would be
E>D>F in that order. (Group - C)
Considering the above the final rank list will be
Y>X>Z>N>M>O>E>D>F in that order.
