What is crowdfunding?
The practice of funding a
project or venture by raising
many small amounts of
money from a large number
of people, typically via the
internet.

Crowdfunding
Here are four crowdfunding
sites that I have found using
Google identify five charities
involved in your area of
abuse and identify finance
available.

Psychological abuse charities

I would have personally

typed documents which
are accessible via the
specific crowdfunding
website of my choice and
in those documents would
be my opinions on my
chosen area of abuse,
why I decided to research
it and the importance that
it has awareness raised to
it.

How would I launch my pitch and what is

Role

Availability

Varshini
yogashwaren

Camera operator

Varshini is available most days of the week. Her most flexible hours are afternoons during the week,
between 3pm and 7pm and on weekend 12pm till 8pm. I have chosen her as her flexible hours make her
extremely reliable in the production of my short film. She has a steady hand and knows a perfect shot in
any location you place her in.

Rhys painter

Editor

Rhys is free 3 times a week from 3pm-9pm. He is free on alternating weekends as he has a part-time job
which requires him to be there from 6pm-10pm. He has a lot of free time at home which is perfect for
the role I have him working in because he needs quiet, free space to work in to perfect his editing skills
on the film.

Harry bilk

Producer

Harry is free on Mondays to Fridays from 3pm-9pm. He has expert producing skills and has a good eye in
perfecting a movie and he knows exactly what to look for. On weekends hes free all morning till late and
this is helpful when Im in need of help with the production.

David hutton

Director

David has excellent directing skills, he has a good eye for shots, angles and making the scenes fit with
the atmosphere. He has a flexible schedule which allows him to be free Monday to Friday 2pm-10pm and
on weekends he is available 3pm-9pm. He is very reliable has experience in learning the skills in order to
be a successful director.

Maria kinshott

Costume

I have chosen Maria because has a careful and skilled eye for what appears to make people look like
their character. She has the ability to choose and create a new person with just the right costume so
effectively, she is the ultimate creator of the character. Maria is free on most weekdays, 3pm-9pm which
is good because the costumes are designed and thought over first, before I require her undivided
attention to discuss the costumes. This means that she can spend more time at home till the fittings etc.
are up coming.

The parents association which are in partner with the Beacon school offer
crowdfunding.
How would I effectively pitch to the BPA?
I would ask members of my media class to come together and create an effective
dynamic presentation (prezi) to explain our current working equipment and
environment and the things we would like to have as appropriate to our media
department.
As a group we would each form our own areas of research and explain how effective
they can be once improved, giving the BPA visuals and facts to help conclude their
decision as to whether they will fund our media department.
We would inform them on the quality and professionalism of work that may be
achieved if we upgrade our working systems/ learning environment and how it will
benefit us in the future, after all that is why we are here to improve ourselves,
achieve greatly and have the best outcome in our grades.
We will then offer them any questions at the end of our presentation where they can
concentrate and ask on the specific things they wish to know.

Legal release
A legal release is a legal instrument that acts to terminate any legal liability
between the releaser and the release(s), signed by the releaser.
Releases are used by the photographers, in film production, by the
documentary filmmakers, or by radio and music producers when they
photograph, film, video or record the voice or performance of individuals.
The release signed makes sure that the person (releasor) whose
image/word/service etc. is being used consents or will not later object to the
material being used for whatever purpose is stipulated by the release.
Here material refers to the images, sounds or any other rendering that is a
result of the recording made of the releasor.
This signed agreement helps to make sure that the copyright owner has a
clean chain of title for any work if it is later published, broadcast, shown in
public cinema or otherwise made public.

Wavier release form

There are a few things in which wavier have in common in order to play as legal documents. Some of these
things may include the company name/business, a request for signatures from releasers/releases
,contributors, participants etc. you may have to state age ratings within the form to clearly demonstrate the
genre and category in which the form for the film is for.
These things largely have a big impact on making sure you have the correct grants for your film/film
production in order to take place. They show that you have the faculties in order to make this your own, liable
and an official legal document.
Things the wavier release forms have in common are:
The name of the short film/film
The date of filming
The address
Contact number of contributor/agent
Request for a signature
Reason for permission stated
The participant
These are the common things I have found were the most prominent common features within the wavier forms.

First scene In house.

A small maisonette, council house.
In fairly poor condition.

ZOE, 12, plain pyjamas, sprints up the

stairs, nearly falling down with her teddy
bear in her hand. Terror-strickenly climbing
up the stairs.

Footsteps, panting in panic and trying

to suffocate the sound of her crying.
Supressed sobs.

Zoe (daughter) upstairs, in her bedroom.

The bedroom isnt done up to a child's
standards. Single divan bed , orange
curtains and dirty grey bedding and walls.
A book, wedged behind her bed.
Lisa (Mother) in the kitchen.
Kitchen has old appliances, untidy and
old.

Zoe is curled in a ball, crying with her head

in her hands sitting in her bedroom, beside
her bed.
LISA, 32, very old clothes. Who has
become angry downstairs.

Story board
Close up then you can section it off onto an extreme close up.
Medium long shot when we first see them, then the next shot to be a medium shot of
the same person. Two similar sized shots with a little change of angle between the two.
Make a slight change of angle and shot size.(Golden rule)
A jump cut is when you change the shots size but you do not vary the angle.
If you are changing the shot size when there is a massive difference, it isnt a problem
as it wont come up as a jump short. E.g. from extreme long shot to extreme close up.
Pan from one frame to another. E.g. from a medium shot to a medium long shot.
You can embellish to create a link between the two.
You can take the arrow down continuously from one to another.
Wherever you can, change the angle.
My storyboard is a blueprint for my edit.
