boast except in the cross of

THE
BLOOD
OF
CHRIST

The HOLY OF HOLIES IS

ENTERED INTO BY THE:
BLOOD OF CHRIST!
he entered once for all into the
Holy Place, taking not the blood of
goats and calves but his own
blood, thus securing an eternal
redemption.
(Hebrews 9:12 RSV)

The LAMB OF GOD is the

CENTERPIECE of all HISTORY!
The next day he saw Jesus
coming toward him, and said,
"Behold, the Lamb of God,
who takes away the sin of the
world!
(John 1:29)

The THEOLOGY
OF HEAVEN
IS
CHRIST-CENTERED,
CROSS-CENTERED, AND
BLOOD-CENTERED

IT IS TRAGIC THAT IN SOME

RELIGIOUS SEMINARIES,
THE BLOOD OF JESUS IS
NOT
TO BE MENTIONED!

THE ENORMITY OF SIN

Have you NOTICED that the

book of Leviticus
is filled with
SACRIFICES, PRIESTS, and
the
BLOOD OF ANIMALS?

The Old Testament Law taught

very clearly the SINFULNESS
OF SIN!
Did that which is good, then,
bring death to me? By no means!
It was sin, producing death in me
through what is good, in order
that sin might be shown to be sin,
and through the commandment
might become sinful beyond
measure. (Romans 7:13)

Under the Law of Moses,

FORGIVENESS required the
shedding of blood
Indeed, under the law almost
everything is purified with
blood, and without the

shedding of blood there is no

forgiveness of sins.
(Hebrews 9:22)

NOTE:
God could forgive sin under the
Law of Moses knowing that

JESUS WOULD BE THE

ATONING SACRIFICE for those
living under the Law of Moses

Therefore he is the mediator of

a new covenant, so that those
who are called may receive the
promised eternal inheritance, since

a death has occurred that

redeems them from the
transgressions committed
under the first covenant.
(Hebrews 9:15)

1. The NEW TESTAMENT
And he took a cup, and when he
had given thanks he gave it to
them, saying, "Drink of it, all of
you, for this is my blood of the
covenant, which is poured out
for many for the forgiveness of
sins. (Matthew 26:27, 28)

LISTEN TO THE BLOOD OF

JESUS
The blood of Abel cried out to God
(Genesis 4:2-12)
The blood of Jesus speaks of better
things than that of Abel
(Hebrews 12:24)

2. The NEW TESTAMENT

CHURCH is connected to the
BLOOD OF JESUS
Christians are redeemed by
Jesus BLOOD
(I Peter 1:18, 19)
The CHURCH is purchased by
Jesus BLOOD!

the BLOOD of CHRIST
.and by your blood you
ransomed people for God from
every tribe and language and
people and nation
and you have made them a
kingdom and priests to our
God, (Revelation 5:9, 10)

THESE ARE ALL THE SAME

PEOPLE
CHRISTIANS purchased by
Jesus BLOOD
THE CHURCH purchased by
Jesus BLOOD
THE KINGDOM purchased by
Jesus BLOOD

3. The LORDS SUPPER is

connected to the BLOOD OF
JESUS
The LORDS SUPPER
proclaims the LORDS DEATH
until He comes
(I Corinthians 11:26)

4. BAPTISM is connected to the

BLOOD OF CHRIST!
Baptism is the ACT that unites the
SINNER with Jesus DEATH and
BLOOD
(Romans 6:1-5; Colossians 2:12;
Galatians 3:26, 27)

The world wants salvation

without the blood, without
the Bible, without the
church, without the Lords
Supper, and without
baptism.
IT WILL NOT WORK!

MY CROSS
(Matthew 10:37-39, etc.)
And whoever does not take his
cross and follow me is not worthy
of me.
And he said to all, "If anyone
would come after me, let him
deny himself and take up his
cross daily and follow me.
(Luke 9:23)

IF THE CROSS OF JESUS WAS

NECESSARY, SO IS OURS!
There is NO CHEAP GRACE in
Gods salvation!
Grace does NOT OVERLOOK,
evade, forget, or repeal Gods
truth, wrath, or punishment
Every SIN is PUNISHED, either in
Christ, or in Hell

WHAT WAS THE CAUSE OF

JESUS DEATH?
1. Some say EXHAUSTION
Jesus had been brutalized! The
scourging was horrible!
2. Some say from a RUPTURED
HEART. He was truly
crushed for OUR SINS!

But he was wounded for our

transgressions; he was

crushed for our iniquities;

upon him was the chastisement
that brought us peace, and with
his stripes we are healed.
(Isaiah 53:5)

JESUS DIED FOR ME

Examine Romans 4:25; II
Corinthians 5:15; I Corinthians
15:1-4; Titus 2:11-14, etc.
What Jesus did on the CROSS, HE
DID FOR ME!
This is GOSPEL! Hear it!
Believe it! Obey it!

of eternal destruction, away from
the presence of the Lord and from

Your cannot EARN GRACE ---- It

is A GIFT!
You cannot BUY GRACE ---- It is
NOT FOR SALE!
You cannot MERIT GRACE --- It
is UNMERITED!
You cannot REPAY GRACE --- It
creates NO DEBT!
GRACE CHANGES EVERYTHING!

WE DO IT BY OUR SINS!

CHARACTERISTICS OF
CROSS-BEARING SCRIPTURES
1. They are EXCLUSIVE! If I do
NOT DO THESE THINGS, I
CANNOT BE HIS DISCIPLE

2. DAILY! IT IS OUR WHOLE

.No longer have plans of their
own!
.Have minds through whom
Christ thinks!
.Have hearts through which

3. MY CROSS is NOT some
burden I bear! My cross is NOT
something I endure,
but the
giving of my life to Jesus!

4. MY CROSS is NOT MISERY

or MARTYRDOM! There
should be JOY in serving
5. TAKING UP MY CROSS is a
life of being forgiven, and
forgiving others
ONCE MORE:

Christ. It is no longer I who
live, but Christ who lives in
me. And the life I now live in the
flesh I live by faith in the Son of
God, who loved me and gave
himself for me.
