 Why do we need to use the
Subjunctive?
Because of the
uncertainty that the
action will take place.
Because there is only a
50-50 chance the
person will do the action
Because the
expressions use que
 How do we form the
SUBJUNCTIVE?

You use the FORMAL

commands.
Hablo  hable
Remember you use the Como coma
“yo” form as the basis Escribo  escriba
for this.
For -ar verbs change Tengo  tenga
the o  e Hago  haga
For -er, -ir verbs
change the o  a
 And don’t forget the changes
to the -car, -gar, -zar verbs

Llegar llego llegue

Buscar busco busque
Cruzar cruzo cruce
 Present subjunctive of
