Study leave starts on Mon 16th May. Everyone
expected back in school on Mon 13th June.
End of term exams for linear subjects will take
place on June 27th and 28th. No study leave.
University visits etc limited to 3 days during
term time.

Your AS is worth half an A Level.
Universities will see what you have
done at AS and make their judgment.
Turning a C at AS into an A at A Level
is almost impossible. Turning and E to
a C is just as hard.

Officers will be needed at each event

Curnock: 2 captains, 2 deputies.
Davis x4: 2 captains, 2 deputies.
Evers x4; 2 captains, 2 deputies.
Patterson x4: 2 captains, 2 deputies.

20 is not very many....


Those appointed will:
- Need to be totally committed
- Need to feel confident that they can
deliver
- Need to be able to cope with a fairly
tough selection procedure
- Take responsibility for a particular
whole-school or at least wholesixthform role (see next slide) as part
of your role

Boy/Head Girl
Only apply for Head Boy/Head Girl. Dont apply
to be a Deputy. We will decide who gets the
HB/HG roles and who gets the Deputy roles.
Hand in a formal letter of application addressed
to Mr R by Wednesday 9th March at 1.00.
Prepare for hustings on Mon 14th March at 12.10.
No more than 10 candidates will be shortlisted for
interview.
4 appointments will be announced before the end
of term (March 24th.

Lead and manage the team of School Officers
Lead a Sixth Form/Yr 13 Council, and the School Council
Formally share the views of Sixth Form students with the
Head of Sixth Form and other members of staff
Represent the school at various public events during the
year
Meet with the Headteacher each week to identify priorities
and discuss their implementation.
These roles require strong commitment in terms of time
and energy, and outstanding initiative and leadership
skills. There is a real opportunity to make a difference to
the Sixth Form and to the school. Various public speaking
roles will be required.

Only apply for House Captain...we will decide
on who will be Captains/Deputy Captain
Deadline for applications: 1.00 on April 13th..
Interviews with House Heads and members
of the Leadership Team.

Full team of 20 appointed before Study Leave.

Help to organise and run House Activities
Recruit students from throughout the school to be
involved in House Activities.
Work closely with Heads of House and carry out
duties that may be required by HoH.
These roles require very good organisational and
leadership skills. House Captains must have shown
clear commitment to House Activities whilst at St
Barts. Speaking in House Assemblies and visits to
tutor groups will be expected. You are strongly
advised to discuss with Heads of House before
application they will have more information for you.

There will be opportunities to represent your
Tutor Group on the 6th Form Council too.

Subject Reps
-Take the lead in representing the subject at open
day and other recruitment opportunities
(assemblies). They would coordinate other
students to help with this.
- Act as a bridge between staff and students,
relaying student concerns and addressing these
with staff.
- Coordinate roundtable feedback sessions in the
spring term with representatives from classes to
secure student feedback.
- Act as a figurehead for the subject. Y12s could
seek support and advice (but not necessarily
private tutoring!) and Y11s could try to find out

20 people cant make everything
happen. They will help to lead the
year and lead the school. They wont
be able to do everything.
Throughout the year they will be
enlisting the supporting of others.
Come forward with your own ideas
and initiatives.
Its your Sixth Form too.
