Managing technical systems involves not only the

documentation and planning of Plant, Maintenance
processing; it is also desirable to have supporting
documents in the form of a maintenance history on a longterm basis.

The history of a technical object contains important

information on investing in replacements. Apart from cost
factors, information on breakdown behavior and damage
frequency can have a considerable influence on decisions
regarding new investments.

Notification history must be entered for technical objects,

like equipment, functional location etc.

Notification History Tracking

If we want to track technical history for functional

location ,we need to enter data in notification for
functional location.

Object part, Cause & Damage, damage text & cause

text need to be entered for any technical object such
as equipment, functional location to record technical
history.

If malfunction is for equipment & since these

equipments are for temporary, it is not required to
record technical history for these temporary
equipments. But if you want to track technical history
for functional location, you should enter the history.

Notification History Tracking

A good notification history must facilitate a differentiated

analysis that is object-specific, function-related or taskoriented and thereby provide answers to the following:

At which functional locations or pieces of equipment was a

particular problem or damage established in recent years?

Which Object Part has a malfunction?

What were the causes of a particular damage?
How long were the downtimes for particular problems?
What actions were performed to rectify the problem?

Notification History Tracking

SAP Procedure:

Use IW22 Or IW28(List of Notifications).

Enter Notification Number.

Check Order whether order is confirmed or TECO, if job already

done in field then follow below step:

Put history in Object Part, Cause & Damage, Damage text &
cause Text..

If you want to attached a file then click on services for object,

create button & then attached a file from your system.

If you want to complete the notification then click on

maintenance notification menu, then function & then complete.

Procedure:

Use transaction IW41.

Put Order number.

Insert Op/Act number.

Insert actual work & number of personnel's, as zero & posting

date.

Please need to tick three(3) check boxes, final confirmation, no

remaining work & clear open reservation.

Put remaining work & actual duration as zero hours.

In confirmation text put work request number or TA order

number.

Save.

For other operation same procedure will apply.

Note: Actual work duration should be zero Man Hours,

SAP Procedure:

Use transaction IW32/IW38.

Put Order number.

In description put work request number of TA.

From menu select order, then function, completed & then last
completed(Technically).

After that system status will be change to TECO.
