Opening Statement
In HDF 190: FLITE, I got the chance to discover different
concepts f leadership as I myself learnt about my own
personal leadership style. One of the biggest takeaways
from this class was that we all have different leadership
styles nut once put together, those differences have the
power to become our strengths.

Personal Values
Student will express a
personal values statement

My personal values are a huge driving force for who I am today

and how I act the way I do. They are the foundations that help me
remember where I am from and how I was raised to be the best
version of myself.

Using my VIA Values to

create the personal value
statement.

Goals and Objectives

Student will describe goals
and objective statements
regarding personal issues,
career issues, and
community issues

My personal goals are to be able to live my life knowing that I

made a difference in someones life no matter how small the
effect is and this ties into my career goals which are to become a
successful pediatrician and help make a difference in a childs life
and at least give them a chance to make their lives into
something great.

Community goals based on Fairness and Equality

Personal Leadership Style

Student will describe personal
leadership style and/or
personality style including
strengths and weaknesses and
examples of application
(Sources = Leadership style
inventories, the L.P.I.,
StrengthsQuest, Type Focus
(MBTI), LAMP, and other
career inventories, etc.)

My personal leadership style as I have come to develop during

the course of this class, is more about making those long lasting
relationships with people that will have an impact in making a
social change in the community. In HDF 190, we learned about
our strengths and values.

Leadership Identity development

Students will demonstrate
knowledge of the
Leadership Identity
Development Model by
Komives et al

The Leadership Identity Development Model is centered towards

an individual discovering what their personal leadership style is
as they go through life. There are six concepts to this model:
Awareness, Exploration, Leader Identified, Leadership
Differentiated, Generativity and Integration

Leadership in a crisis
Student will demonstrate
knowledge of leadership
that is used in crisis

During Leadership Institute, the peer leaders introduced to us the

four agreements that were to be followed throughout the
weekend. The four agreements were: Be impeccable with your
words, Dont take anything personally, Dont make assumptions
and always do your best; I feel as though these four agreements
can be used during a crisis
