How and when he died

The war by the government took ruthless profiles in the north. The
gonzalista Jesus Guajardo led to believe that Zapata was unhappy
with Carranza and would be willing to join him. Zapata asked
Guajardo tests and gave them to shoot about 50 federal soldiers,
with consent of Carranza and Pablo Gonzlez, and offer Zapata
weapons and ammunition to continue the fight. So they agreed to
meet at the Hacienda de Chinameca, Morelos, on April 10, 1919.
Zapata camped with his forces outside the hacienda, and came to
the same accompanied only by his escort of 100 men. When
crossing the threshold, an orderly stationed at the entrance, he
played with his clarion call to honors. This was the signal for the
shooters, hidden on rooftops, opened fire Zapata, who managed to
draw his gun, but the shot was toppled. Not a few condemned the
procedure. In addition, this resulted in that, once dead, Zapata
became the apostle of the revolution and symbol of the
dispossessed peasants. The movement continued, although with
less intensity, and the Zapatistas agreed to appoint Gildardo Magaa
chief of the Liberation Army of the South. He would be the last, since
almost a year later, the old fellow aguaprietista government Zapata
to be integrated, although some of them would be killed by the
government.
