System Requirements- Integrated Truss System

PERFORMANCE

System shall provide structural integrity while withstanding 1.1 million lbs. loads
for the ISS for its entire lifetime
Shall generate, store, and provide 85 kilowatts of power to appropriate systems
and modules.

INTERFACE

Shall connect with the Destiny module without inducing any vibration on the
modules
Shall interface with astronauts and service vehicles ranging from 1-25 meters in
length
Shall interface with thermal control radiators and solar arrays

ENVIRONMENT

Thermal system shall be able to reject up to 80kw of heat

DESIGN CONSTRAINT

Station shall accommodate future expansion of up to 150% or current projected

needs
