Introduction :

The Akshay Patra foundation( TAPF) is a largest
NGO-midday meal programme in the world.

International society of Krishna Consciousness
(ISKON) is the parent organization of TAPF .

It is a PPP (Public-Private Partnership model ) for
efforts to run the mid-day meal initiative .

Akshaya Patra partners with state government to
implement the programme in their state with a
typical agreement being that the government
contributes the cost by providing grain and cash
subsides.

Current Situation
Today this foundation is serving 1.4 million children across
9 states having its kitchen in 19 locations across the
country
