The top 10 destination countries of Filipinos are US (33%), Saudi Arabia (15%), Canada (8%), UAE (7%), Malaysia (5%), Australia (4%),Qatar (3%), Japan (2%), United Kingdom (2%), Kuwait (2%). Source: CFO Based on FIES 2009, Ilocos Norte is the province with the highest share of foreign remittances in total income (21.7%). It is also the province with largest share of HHs receiving foreign remittances (61.4%) by a wide margin. No other province reports more than 50%. From 2006 to 2009, remittances grew at 9.6% per year in nominal terms.
