There are a LOT of Italian immigrants [to the point that they influenced the languagevocabulary and pronunciation]. Also a lot of Eastern Europeans [Russian, Polish], European Jews, and Middle Easterners [Syrian and Lebanese].

The stereotype of porteños [people from Buenos Aires] is arrogant, Eurocentric, and neurotic. There are more mental health therapists per capita in BA than anywhere in the world, and more people in therapy.

He was severely asthmatic but still an excellent athlete.

He entered medical school in 1948, but took time off in 1951 for a motorcycle trip around Latin America. This trip awakened in him a strong

desire to work with the poor.

come,

He was killed in Bolivia in 1967.
