ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE
Designed and implemented by a project-based organization structure. Unique and critical project with respect to technology . Mr.Nandan Nilekani as the chairman Mr. Ram Sewak Sharma as the director general and mission director.

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
Effective communication management. April 2010 the UID project was renamed as AADHAAR which means foundation or support as this project mission is to lay foundation for effective delivery of services. In 2010 Rs.50 crore was earmarked for the information campaign that was designed in phase manner.

EXECUTION STAGE
1. Started Issuing Aadhaar Numbers. 2. Delay in executing the project as per planning. 3. Private agencies have to engage in this UIDAI project to speedup the process. 4. Replacement of new agencies.

EXECUTION STAGE ISSUES

UID project and NPR project. UIDAI not the mandate to proceed beyond 200 billion. Issues were raised regarding collection of data. The security concern was also raised by political parties.

DECISIONS FOR ISSUES

Data collection is splited for UID and NPR. Aadhaar is voluntary but NPR is compulsory. Additional expenditure for UIDAI project. UIDAI focused on stakeholder management.

No exercise of such a size and nature has ever been undertaken before. Maintaining privacy of the people who would be a part of the database. The basis on which IDs would be issued to the people.

Benefits & Implementation

By 2012, Aadhaar was already suffiecient KYC for bank accounts and mobile connections. Became a proof of identity for various Govt. schemes in various states. Oil ministry has started testing an alternative model for transferring fuel subsidy directly to customers.
