Nature of the Course


The course combines theory and practical parts. The theory part of the course consists of a series of lectures, assignments, presentations and an written exam. Laboratory exercises and project form the practical part.

Processes, memory models, portable code and middleware

Distributed Systems
Design and operation of distributed systems and applications

Coursework

Theoretical part
2 Written Assignments (20%) Mid-term Examination (80%) Presentation (5% bonus)

Practical Part
Lab (Period 2) Runetone Project (Period 3)

You will need >60% for both parts to pass the course You can gain bonus points from your lab and presentation
