Research theory
A blogger tends to use a bank of information
created by himself in his previous posts which he may refer to, assuming readers familiarity with the information references to his older posts may not only serve to avoid redundancy and build natural continuity between them but also to create a certain feeling of community or buddying among those in the know, i.e. the author and the regular followers of his blog.
Unbrave Girl

Lazy Travellers
If youll recall, our very last week of our five month
RTW was off to a stellar start, thanks to two very fulfilling days of rotten shark-eating and black death-imbibing in Reykjavik.

Other Blogs
Modern Nomad Most pride festivals are big fun flamboyant parties and an opportunity to show off our subculture in the prime real estate of the cities and societies we love.
Americana the Beautiful no occurrence of the explored phenomenon it is a travel journal nonetheless
Conclusion
Rather than being an essential characteristic of a
journal-type travelogue, references to an information bank created by a blogger over time in his/her previous writings seem to have more to do with authorial preferences than stylistic characteristics of the genre and may therefore be used fairly extensively and frequently or, conversely, be almost or completely absent without necessarily taking away from the blogs journal-like character .
