A vocational nurse cares for the sick, injured or disabled individuals in hospitals, clinics, private homes, nursing homes and group homes. Many vocational nurses will work under the supervision of a registered nurse, and all vocational nurses are required to be licensed. Vocational nurses provide comfort, care and medical attention to individuals on a daily and as-needed basis. Many vocational nurses care for patients with chronic conditions and provide routine monitoring

Gurnick has a Career Placement Department and a Contract Affiliations Department, which create, maintain and develop relations that ensure student placements into internships.
