After going through a great variety of tools and resources,
think about their applicability as regards:
•institutions where you work
•level of your students.
One of the main benefits of the new web 2.0 applications
is that they do not require users to have had a previous
advanced technological alphabetization.
ICT can be a valuable tool for the emancipation of teachers and the
transformation of educational practices, providing them with means
to create environments that facilitate the implementation of creative
ways of teaching, based on discovery, collaborative work.
Web 2.0 stimulates reflexion, experimentation and
generation of individual and collective knowledge
favouring a creative atmosphere that contributes to the
generation of a collaborative learning environment.
Teachers should be reflective practitioners who continually evaluate the
success of their teaching in relation to student learning outcomes. As such,

think of three possible instruments that could help you to determine

whether or not ICT use is having the impact you desire.

 Blogs, having feedback on the blog or in the class,

 Encuestas , Survey Monkey, survey among students
 Reading, Examinations, Prácticos
 Attitude towards themes or activities
 PPT, self assessment sheet to be used by students
 A discussion/ talk with your students,
 Webquest, wiki, collaborative writing
 General oral discussion, Group work
 working with images, Edutainment above all!!!
 Record of students`participation and marks before and
after the use of ICT.
 Other teachers´feedback (may be heads of deparment)
This teachers’ training workshop has focused on WEB 2.0 resources
and their impact in EFL Teaching; however, each of you will now have to
take your time to reflect upon your particular situations and how ICT
could help to innovate and improve them. Furthermore, it is also time to
consider how you could continue learning about new tools and their
possible applications. Tick the ones you consider valid options.
