CHAPTER ONE: INSTALLATION PROCEDURE FOR EMTS PROJECT

If material arrive site, the SBC should use a checklist to check

the equipment and the ensure that the materials are complete as printed on the MR or DN.
If everything is confirmed ok, the SBC should unpack the

materials gently to avoid damaging of the equipment.

Ensure no damaged or missing item. If there is any damaged or

missing item, the SBC should inform Huawei engineer on site and indicate such on the check list. The SBC will get a corresponding amercement according to the damaged or missing item.

The grounding cable

of diameter 16mm^2 is used to interconnect the two cabinets and must be connected to the earthing terminal (Bar) as shown below:
To the earthing terminal onsite.
HUAWEI TECHNOLOGIES CO., LTD. Huawei Confidential Page 11

NOTES;
During this installation the SBC is not expected to

use short cables that may lead to joining of the cables.

The SBC should ensure tight connections at all

terminal points on the grounding bar.

The SBC must apply denso-paste at all the grounding

terminal points.
SBC must route the cable through a PVC pipe to

make the installation neat and protect the cables.

All earthing cables must be routed through the cable

hole accordingly.

CHECKING OF THE BOARDS AND MODULES

The SBC should check the boards e.g. DRFU,

modules e.g. PSU, PMU etc that are preloaded in the cabinet from factory, if they are complete and well positioned in the cabinet according to configuration. If at this stage and there is any alteration from the physical connection, please report to office.

Hoist the antenna gently up the tower with a control line to avoid

the antenna from hitting the tower.

Cut the feeder cable according to the height of the tower in the

design specification
Make the connector perfectly to avoid impedance mismatch at

both ends of the cable.

Hoist the cable gently to avoid damage. Clamp the feeder from top to bottom, making sure that the

clamps are uniformly distributed with at least 2m spacing along the ladder.

CHAPTER THREE POWERING UP STAGES OF BTS 3900A OUTDOOR

Note: Make sure all necessary ATS setting for Generators and a 16mm 4 core, 4 wire power cable connecting from ATS to ACDB is well connected as design , check all phases for Generators 1& 2 in ATS if they are balanced and confirm the accuracy of the voltage needed to supply the equipment on-site using multimeter.

Step 1 : Check BTS 3-phases cables on ACDB if voltage supplied is according to range of AC voltage needed between 240V using millimeters to check . Make sure you switch ON AC breaker

For BTS inside ACDB.

Check also the 3-phases cables of BTS AC (EPS) box that came from ACDB ,make sure supplied voltage is according to range of AC voltage needed between 240V using multimeter to check.
