HOMEWORK NO.

Note: Black lines are dark lines, use HB pencil. Blue lines are very light lines, use 4H pencil.

Homework no. 2 INSTRUMENTAL AND GEOMETRIC FIGURES

Draw the borderline and your title block. Locate the center of your sketch pad by drawing two diagonal lines. The intersection of these two diagonal lines is the center of your working area. Prepare 4 copies of this. Draw a 10 cm x 10 cm square on the first three sheets of your homework 2

Figure 1
Consider the first square. Draw 2 diagonal lines. From the center, measure 5 points along the diagonal 1 cm apart. Draw horizontal and vertical lines on the last two points terminating on the next diagonal line. Draw 45 diagonal lines on the three remaining points ending on the edge of the small square. From the intersection of the 45 diagonal and small square, draw more diagonal lines. Finally draw horizontal and vertical lines on the outer edge based on the intersection of the diagonal lines in the small square.

Figure 2
Draw horizontal line at the center of the square. Divide the center horizontal line into 5 equal parts. Draw 30 diagonal lines on those 5 points. Continue drawing more diagonal lines until you fill up the whole square. Draw thin vertical lines on the midpoint of each of the 5 divisions Then start from the left draw an isometric box. Continue to draw more isometric boxes until you complete the figure. Then draw thin vertical lines on the right side of the box for shading. Complete the figure as shown in your copy.

Figure 3
Draw horizontal line at the center of the square. Divide the center horizontal line into 10 equal parts. Draw 60 diagonal lines on those 10 points. Continue to draw more 60 diagonal lines until you fill up the whole square.

Then complete the figure as shown in your copy.

Figure 4

Draw a circle of radius of 5 cm. Draw horizontal and vertical line at the center of the circle. Draw also two 45 diagonal lines Draw a diamond inside the circle Draw a circle inside the diamond. The circle should touch the sides of the diamond. Using the same radius used in constructing the second circle, draw an arc inside the diamond using the corners of the diamond as the center of the arc. Draw the smallest circle. The smallest circle should be tangent to the arcs.
