We offer tailor made solutions for treatment and disposal of Solid and Liquid Biodegradable Organic Waste We use High Rate Biomethanation Techniques Modified UASB Byproducts are Biogas and Organic manure

Our Philosophy
The army philosophy of Seeing is believing -- We have plants on ground then let our clients proudly talk about it. Disposal of waste at its source of generation Quality, customer satisfaction and highly competitive prices. Appropriate/ Suitable Indigenous technology for developing nations

Mailhem Expertise
MSW BASED WASTE TO ENERGY PROJECTS Mixed waste from:

Vegetable market yard Fruit and Flower market Sewage Sludge from STP Animal Droppings Large hotels and industrial canteens

Unique combined Sewage and MSW treatment plants for Municipal Bodies.

Wet Garbage Treatment Plant at H A L, Bangalore.

Advantages over conventional STP

The treated water from Mailhem system is clear and has no foul smell. It can be recycled and used for in house gardening

Food waste from the kitchen/Canteen can be also added to Mailhem system without any problem of choking or foul smell. This is not the case in conventional STP or Septic tank Sludge generation is much less as compared to a conventional STP. The sludge can be easily removed and used as organic manure periodically. We provide our services for sludge removal (once in 6 8 months).
No chemicals for pH adjustment are required for our system.

Advantages continued Biogas generated can be collected and used as fuel in lieu of LPG. If the quantity of biogas is substantial, biogas generator sets can be used for generation of electricity and the same can be utilized for running the plant / street lighting
Power consumption in our system is much less as compared to conventional STP. Unlike our system, the septic tanks are not normally designed to handle wash water thus resulting in a low retention time, low efficiency and foul odour to the outlet water from septic tank. Our system is very compact thus saving on space requirement.

Advantages continued

Our system is of modular design. Therefore expansion does not pose a problem as a number of such units could be added on to take care of the increased load Since the effluent is clear and devoid of solid particles, the piping used can be of small size. Choking does not pose a problem in our system. The aeration unit can be aesthetically merged with the architecture of the building. Landscaping/rock garden/ fountains could be a part of the plan for usage of treated water

Features incorporated in Mailhem design for better efficiency of system beyond 3 TPD capacity projects.

Provision for mechanical waste handling system Additional biogas storage All civil construction is done in RCC Biogas purification system is provided Filtration and Manure Handling system Greater degree of automation for the power generation section.

Advantages Envisaged

No storage of waste is required as it is to be directly loaded into the plant every day No foul smell since the digesters are gas tight No housefly, pigs, stray dogs menace since there is no storage of waste and no foul smell Transport cost is avoided since the plant is installed near the place of generation of waste. Manpower requirement is low existing manpower can be utilized Skilled operators NOT required to handle these plants

Special orders executed

20 ton per day Vegetable Market yard waste and Slaughter House waste Biomethanation project for Power Generation at Vijaywada Municipal Corporation, Vijaywada, a MNES and UNDPGEF funded project. 2 ton per day Leather Shaving Dust project to get byproducts biogas and chrome recovery, at Tata International Ltd., Dewas, MP, a MNES and UNDP-GEF funded project the only one of its kind in the world.

Advantages Envisaged, contd.

Electricity requirements are low. Water consumption for slurry preparation is low Biogas generated is proportional to solid waste loaded per day. The biogas generated from these digesters is much higher as compared to conventional gobar gas designs. Organic digested sludge removed periodically is an excellent organic manure.

Power Generation from Industrial Waste

1 m3 of biogas can generate 1.8 - 2 units. 100% Biogas Engines (Indian make) available upto 60 KW Cummins Engines are available beyond 60 KW. However they need 75 -80 % methane Custom & Excise duties are exempted on imported engines Capital subsidies available from MNES

Financial benefits

80% Depreciation in the year of installation Subsidy/Viability Gap Funding by MNES Carbon Credits 4 % VAT is applicable on biogas gas plants as on date exemption is likely. Soft loans with attractive repayment schemes from financial institutions like IREDA etc. for large size plants.

Conclusion

With ever increasing fossil fuel prices coupled with depleting reserves, renewable energy generation from urban/industrial waste using biomethanation techniques seems to be an ideal solution
