An Update on CSISA-BD (IRRI)

Project objectives
The project aims to increase household income, food security, and livelihoods. A total of 60,000 households (mostly marginal and poor) are targeted to increasing income by US $350 per year by the end of the project. Another 300,000 households are targeted to benefit from project activities indirectly through capacity building and dissemination of information.

Short duration BINA dha7 and BRRI dhan49 Aman varieties in Jessore, Mymensingh, Faridpur, Khulna and Rangpur to allow a room for third crop. High quality market demand BRRI dhan50 as a fine grain rice variety in Boro season in Jessore. Salt-tolerant BRRI dhan54, BRRI dhan41 and BINA dhan8 Aman varieties in Patuakhali and Khulna. Site-specific nutrient management in Jessore.
