SNCP services grouping

If there are too much SNCP services in one node, switch

completion time probably will be more than 50ms

Method to solve the problem: grouping

Make all of SNCP services with the same source board, sink board and route as a group Select a SNCP service as detection objective Increase SNCP information processed
Restoration is separated from grouping Grouping is not effective to external commands

Unidirectional switching or Bidirectional switching

Revertive mode or Non-Revertive mode
As a result:

Unidirectional switching in Revertive mode Unidirectional switching in non-revertive mode Bidirectional switching in Revertive mode Bidirectional switching in non-revertive mode
APS protocol necessity

Unnecessary for unidirectional switching in non-Revertive mode Necessary for other modes
Bidirectional and non-revertive is suggested

Comparison

Protection switching triggers are SF and SD

Comparison

SF (Signal Fail) includes RLOS, RLOF, MS-AIS, etc. SD (Signal Degrade) includes B2-SD
APS Necessity

All require APS protocol, but unidirectional 1+1 linear MS protection

Conversion of SNCP and Normal Services

Configuring service can be converted between SNCP type

protection and non-protection freely

Standby route can be set by customers according to the

network topology
Changing the service type will not interrupt service

transmission
