    TITLE: UNDERGROUND CONVENTION CENTER WITH GRAND HOTEL

    Problem Statement

    Philippines has many pleasing convention centers, it could be local, national and international,
    erected from the ground and upwards. The researcher came up with an idea different from the other
    convention centers, an idea of a Grand Hotel with an access to an Underground Convention Center.

    Convention centers receives guests from local, national and international markets. In most cases for
    the purpose of conducting meetings, rallies or seminars, it may also be adapted for exhibits and special or
    specific events. And Philippines known as a place for tourists and visitors from other countries, with great
    mountains and scenery, why don’t also give them what tourists experience just to see and appreciate the
    tropical atmosphere?

    The consequences are, how the researcher plans to build the underground convention center. What
    will be the structural concept of the convention center if it will be underground? Will there be necessary
    processes such as cutting or adding of land to achieve the idea of the said project?
