WINDOWS XP

Required things:-1. A PC with CD-ROM Drive. 2. OS(Operating System) CD Windows XP.

STEPs: 1- Some Setup in BIOS. 1.1> 1.2> 1.3>

Power ON of your PC.

See the Moniter screen. See the Company logo Screen which is your motherboard name-----Here shows a message at the Bottom edge of the moniter That is Press

Use the arrow keys to find Boot Priority Device or Boot Sequence. In the above BIOS setup , In Advanced BIOS Features you find the Boot sequence setting.

Note:- It is enough for Desktop, if you use a Laptop then you have to one more thing
configure that is SATA mode or Operation.
It depends upon the OS which you want to be install. 1.8> 1.9> If you want to install Windows XP then in SATA mode you have to select the IDE or ATA . If you want to install Windows Vista /7 then in SATA mode you have to select the ACHI.

1.10> Now press F10 for saving the changes & exits press Y for yes. Now the system will be automatically Restart.

STEPs 2:--2.1> Now insert the OS cd. And Restart the system.
2.2> Watch the monitor screen where a message is shown i.e Press any key for Boot from CD/DVD-

Rom.

Press any key to boot from CD/DVD

Now press any key (such as space bar or arrow key etc).

2.3> Now the blue screen is appears as shown in figure just wait for a moment2

Press Enter key.

Press F8 key.

Case 1:2.6.1>
Now a screen appears as shown in figure(If you are goinig to format a newly purched system

and this is first time format)

Press C for create a partition.

The next screen shows as in figure---

Here enter the disk size which you want to be for your C drive (it should be more then 10GB for good working experience , if you have 160GB, 320GB, 500GB Disk space then 30GB, 45GB, 70GB recommended respectively. )

2.6.2> Create different partition with different size, then it seems like to be the following figure

Case 2:-2.6.2> If you are going to format 2nd, or 3rd time or etc, then the screen will appears as the above figure.
2.6.3> Now select the partition 1 (or New Volume or Local Volume or top most of the partition) from the partition list by using arrow key. 2.6.4> Press D key to delete the partition. 2.6.5> Here the screen is appears as following figure---

Press L key to delete the partition.

2.6.6> After that the following screen is appears----

Select the Unpartitioned Space and press C for create partition. 2.6.7> The following screen is appears

Press Enter key to install Windows.

2.7> Now the following screen is appears

Select the Format the partition using the NTFS file system<Quick> by using arrow key and press Enter key.

Just wait & Watch 2.9> After some time a screen appears that warn that system will restart second, the screen looks the following figure

Note::--And after this screen the system will start automatically and you shows again the message on
screen that is-Press any key to boot from CD/DVD , now dont press any key at this

time & just wait for a moment ---

STEPs 3:-3.1> After few second a screen is appears like the following figure

still wait & watch..

3.2> The following screen is appears after some time

Click Next. 3.3> Now the following screen is appears---

Here enter your full name in box of Name & in Organization box fill such as Home, Office or leave blank.

3.4> After that the following screen is appears

Here enter the 25-character Product Key 5digit in each box..(which is written in your Operating System CD) after entering the key, click Next. 3.5> The following screen is appears

Here enter the Computer name such as Sys1 or Com1 or Your nick name or any thing. And leave

blank the Administrator password box & confirm password box. And click Next.
3.6> The following screen is appears

Here set the date & time and then click Next. 3.7> Now the Network Setting screen is appears, select the Typical setting & click Next.

3.8> Workgroup or Computer Domain screen is appears. Just select the first option that is No,...........................................................................Click

Next

Note::-- And after this screen the system will start automatically and you shows again the message on
screen that is-Press any key to boot from CD/DVD , now dont press any key at this

time & just wait for a moment --13

STEPs 4:-4.1> Now the Display setting dialog box is appears as follows

Click OK . 4.2> Now you get a Monitor Setting dialog box like the following figure

Click OK.

4.3> The following screen is appears

Click Next.

Just click on Skip. 4.6> The following screen is appears---

Select No not at this time option & click Next. 4.7> The following screen is appears

Enter your name in the first box & leave blank the rest of the boxes.& Click Next. 4.8> The following screen is appears---

Click Finish.

And after few second you get the final screen that is----

Now the Installation of Windows XP is completed.

Note:--Now, you just have to install some drivers such as Audio driver, Video driver, LANs driver, etc to completing your Windows Perfect.

Note:--->>You should carefull at STEP 2.6.1 to 2.7 .

>>And in laptop carefull at STEP

1.8 & 1.9 & above step also.
