What was Gods purpose in creating humanity?

Genesis 1:26-27 Then God said, Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them. God created humanity (men and women) in the image and likeness to God to rule over the rest of Gods creation.

Psalm 16:5-11; 86; 100:3; 144:15 The LORD is the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You support my lot. The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; indeed my heritage is beautiful to me. I will bless the LORD who has counseled me; indeed, my mind instructs me in the night. I have set the LORD continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices; my flesh also will dwell securely. For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol; nor will You allow Your Holy One to undergo decay. You will make know to me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; in Your right hand there are pleasures forever. Incline Your ear, O LORD, and answer me; for I am afflicted and needy. Preserve my soul, for I am a godly man; O You my God, save your servant who trusts in You. Be gracious to me, O LORD, for to You I cry all day long. Make glad the soul of Your servant, for to You, O LORD, I lift up my soul. For You, LORD, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon You. Give ear, O LORD, to my prayer; and give heed to the voice of my supplications! In the day of my trouble I shall call upon You, for You will answer me. There is no one like You among the gods, O Lord, nor are there any works like Yours. All nations whom You have made shall come and worship before You, O LORD, and they shall glorify your name. For You are great and do wondrous deeds; You alone are God. Teach me Your way, O, LORD; I will walk in Your truth; unite my heart to fear Your name. I will give thanks to You, O LORD my God, with all my heart, and will glorify Your name forever. For Your lovingkindness toward me is great, and You have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol. O God, arrogant men have sought my life, and they have not set You before them. But You, O LORD, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness and truth. Turn to me, and be gracious to me; Oh grant Your strength to Your servant, and save the son of Your handmaid. Show me a sign for good, that those who hate me may see it and be ashamed, because You, O LORD, have helped me and comforted me. Know that the LORD Himself is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture. How blessed are the people who are so situated. How blessed are the people whose God is the LORD. God created us to relate to Him, to learn from Him, to follow Him, and to work with Him to reconcile fallen humanity to Him.

Isaiah 12:2; 44:24; 45:18; 60:21

Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; for the LORD GOD is my strength and son, and He has become my salvation. Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, and the one who formed you from the womb, I, the LORD, am the maker of all things, stretching out the heavens by Myself and spreading out the earth all alone, Then all your people will be righteous; they will possess the land forever, the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, that I may be glorified. God sustains us and provides for us from the cradle to the grave.

Jeremiah 31:3 The LORD appeared to him from afar, saying, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness. Gods purpose involves us returning the love He lavishes on us.

Luke 2:10 But the angel said to them, Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people, Gods purpose includes spreading the good news of the ministry of His Son.

Romans 11:36 For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen. Gods purpose includes our having a clear understanding of the identity and work of Jesus and the appropriate response to that understanding (glorifying God in Christ).

1 Corinthians 1:9; 6:20; 10:31 God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. For you have been bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body. Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. Gods purpose is for us to do everything for the glory of God (which means giving the credit to God) because He redeemed us; we are His creation.

2 Corinthians 5:18-19 Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. God, through Jesus Christ, reconciles us to Himself; He passes on that mission to us.

Ephesians 1:4; 2:10 Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him.

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. God created us for holiness (attitude) and good works (actions) from the beginning.

Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Gods purpose is for us to rejoice (in Him and in His ways).

Revelation 4:11; 21:3-4 Worthy are You, or Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created. And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, and He will wipe way every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away. God created us and He will dwell among usHe is our God and we are His people.
