N1: A long time ago in Ancient Greece, a king and a goddess were getting married.

Since they wanted the wedding to be a happy occasion, they decided not to invite the goddess of Chaos, named Dis, for obvious reasons. Dis decided to ruin the ceremony even without an invitation. She threw a golden apple with the words To the Fairest into the party. The vain gods and goddesses began to fight over the apple. *Dis throws apple* *Wedding guests fight* N2: Zeus, king of the gods, decided to solve the problem. Zeus: I know the answer. There will be a beauty pageant judged by Paris, king of Troy. Three goddesses my wife Hera and my daughters Athena and Aphrodite will compete. N1: During the contest, each goddess attempted to bribe Paris. Hera: I am queen of the gods. Pick me, and I will make you ruler of the world. Athena: No. Choose me, goddess of wisdom, and I will make you the wisest man in the world. Aphrodite: Thats weak. Choose me, the goddess of love, and I will make you the love of the most beautiful woman in the entire world. Paris: I choose Aphrodite. *Athena and Hera look dejected, Aphrodite celebrates* N2: The worlds most beautiful woman that Aphrodite had promised to Paris was named Helen. However, she was already married to Menelaus, king of Sparta. While on an official visit to Sparta, Paris met Menelaus and Helen. *Helen and Menelaus enter, talking* *Aphrodite and Paris approach* Menelaus, Helen, Paris: Hello. N2: Aphrodite fulfilled her promise and made Helen fall in love with Paris. Aphrodite: *snaps* I have fulfilled my promise. *Helen swoons over Paris, leaves Menelaus to take his arm. Menelaus is in awe, but doesnt stop her.* Helen: Something has come over me. ImIm in love. *Paris smiles, both he and Helen exit* N2: When Paris returned to Troy, Helen hid on the ship to be with him.

Helen: I have to be with you. Paris: Quickly, hide. *Helen takes ship prop and puts it in front of her face* *Hector enters, strikes a powerful pose* N1: Paris older brother, Hector, was the fiercest warrior in Troy. When he found out what Paris had done, he was furious with his brother and Helen. Hector: Paris! How could you! You will start an entire war over this! What were you thinking!?! N1: Hector knew Troys only chance was to rely on the citys protective walls, which had been built by the sea god Poseidon. Hectors wife Andromache was also furious with Paris and Helen. *Andromache enters shaking head with hands on hips, joins Hector* Andromache: How could you do something so thoughtless?! N1: Priam, the king of Troy, was also concerned, but was kind to Helen. *Priam enters, shakes hands with Helen* Priam: This worries me. It has the potential to bring war upon us. However, I dont think youre completely to blame. N2: Menelaus was furious when he found out. He called upon his brother Agamemnon, king of all Greece, to assemble an invasion force. Menelaus: ARGH! How dare he steal my wife away from me!? Agamemnon! Assemble all of Greeces warriors! I want him DEAD! Agamemnon: Yes, brother. I will go rally the troops now. *Agamemnon exits* N2: All of Greeces warriors assembled. The mightiest of them was Achilles, who was invincible except for his heel. Achilles cousin Patroclus came with him. Odysseus, who was king of Ithaca and known for his cunning, was also a member of the force. *Achilles, Patroclus, and Odysseus all enter as their names are called. Achilles and Patroclus strike powerful poses, Odysseus points to his brain* N1: The Greeks tried again and again to breach the citys walls, but always failed. The war continued in this manner for nine long years with many deaths on both sides. One day, the Greeks destroyed a town near Troy and took same women prisoner.

*fighting . Some women scream. Achilles takes Briseis, holding her by the arm with one hand, sword fighting with other* N1: Achilles took a woman named Briseis, but Agamemnon took him Achilles. Agamemnon: (to Briseis) Come with me. *Agememnon leads Briseis by arm off* N1: Achilles was so furious, he refused to fight. Achilles: (yelling towards Agamemnon) Fine then! Try overtaking Troy without your mightiest warrior! *Throws down sword and armor* N2: With Achilles sitting out, the Greeks began to lose badly. Patroclus, Achilles cousin, came up with a plan. Patroclus: (talking to the other warriors) Without Achilles, we will surely lose. I will go into battle in his armor. Then they will think I am my cousin, and fear us. This will restore our spirit. *other warriors nod; Patroclus puts on armor and picks up sword* N2: When Hector saw Achilles armor, he rushed to confront him. *Hector meets Patroclus and with a battlecry, stabs him with his sword . Patroclus screams, die dramatically, slowly, painfully, etc..* N2: Hector killed Patroclus N1: Achilles was furious. He put aside his anger toward Agamemnon and went on a rampage, killing scores of Trojans who Hector had ordered out of the walls to attack the Greeks. *Achilles takes armor and sword off Patroclus dead body, goes on murderous rampage, slashing warrior after warrior. Warriors die dramatically, slowly, painfully, etc.* N1: He then challenged Hector to single combat. Achilles: You!! *Achilles points dramatically to Hector* Achilles: If you are such a great warrior, then we shall duel. One-on-one. N1: Hector did not want to accept, and his wife Andromache begged him not to. Hector: I dont know Andromache: Please dont. He will kill you! N1: However, Hector felt duty bound and accepted.

Hector: But, I suppose I have to. Challenge accepted. N2: Achilles and Hector fight furiously. *Swordfight battle. Very dramatic. Somewhere along the lines of StarWars lightsaber battle*\ N2: The duel ended in Hectors death. *Achilles stabs, Hector dies dramatically, slowly, painfully, etc* N2: (as Hector is dying) After killing Hector, Achilles dragged the body back o Greek camp. *Achilles drags body off* N2: The Greeks held funeral celebrations for Patroclus, during which Achilles would drag Hectors body around the camp. *People mourn over Patroclus body. A woman is sobbing. Achilles is dragging Hectors body around. N2: Priam goes to the Greek camp and begs for his sons body. Priam: Please, allow me to bring my sons body back home. So then at least we can give Hector a proper burial. N2: Achilles took pity on Priam and returned it. *Achilles hands body off to Priam; three men help him carry it off. Andromache is with them, crying* N1: Wily Odysseus comes up with a plan. Odysseus: I have come up with a plan to defeat the Trojans. We will build a giant horse, the symbol of Poseidon, and leave it in the middle of the camp. (Motions with hand) We will hide some of or forces in the horse, and the move rest down shore. The Trojans
