MORGAN CABIN SPRING FESTIVAL will be held
Saturday, June 9, from 11:00-4:00 p.m. at the
Morgan Cabin located on Runnymeade Road, W.Va.
Route 26, West of U.S. 11 in Bunker Hill, 8 miles
south of Martinsburg, WV.
Dinner will be served beginning at 12:00 until sold out
featuring pit beef, buttered parsley potatoes, home style
green beans, buttered corn, spiced apples, dinner roll,
dessert, and drink.
In the event of inclement weather, take-out dinners will
be available.
Bluegrass music will be provided by Stoney Creek
Bluegrass Band and Celebrity Goat Milking Contest
with local celebrities and politicians will be held. There
will be arts and crafts, blacksmithing, living history
demonstrations, free horse rides, and a straw pit for
children.
There will be an auction of delicious homemade cakes
and other items.
The Morgan Cabin is the home of Colonel Morgan
Morgan, the first settler in the State of West Virginia.
The Morgan Cabin bicentennial commemorative silver
coins will be available and a wooden replica of the Cabin
as well.
A 20 X 28 print, a composite of 13 historic sites in
South Berkeley County including the Morgan Cabin,
will be available during the festival.
Admission to the festival is $10.00 including meal and
children under 6 years old is $6.00 admission including
meal.
No alcoholic beverages or pets are allowed.

Received numerous awards for devotion to civic
organizations and Chamber of Commerce
ACCOMPLISHMENTS WITH THE GOVERNING BODY

Made necessary budget adjustments, while maintaining
low fees and taxes in these tough economic times, in
order to continue to provide essential services such as,
Police, Fire/EMS, Street and Sanitation and Water and
Sewer
Worked with local, state and federal officials for the
construction of the new Raleigh Street Extension and the
redevelopment of the Oatesdale Little League Baseball
facilities
Increased economic development activities by expanding
City limits and developing the North Martinsburg
Business District, which includes bike paths and sidewalks
that connect to the new Raleigh Street Extension bike
paths and sidewalks.

retained exisiting businesses by offering City-wide
