He was instrumental in holding on to the original vision and mission of ISI Delhi, motivating the younger generations to go beyond the ordinary and the immediate. He also enabled people to critique the anti-people policies and programmes and respond to the hopes and struggles of the common masses. Paul G. was the true conscience of the Indian Social Institute. In his death we have lost a saint, scholar, gentleman, visionary and a missionary. His spirit, however, still lives amidst us inspiring and challenging us to continue his legacy of rigor and apostolic aggressivity in whatever we are engaged. In order to honour this Great man, both the ISIs (Delhi & Bangalore), in collaboration with many of his friends and well-wishers, both in his mother Province Madurai and in other parts of South Asian Assistancy, have decided to bring out an edited volume on the themes that were close to Paul Gs heart. The proposed volume can be tentatively divided into the following three parts: Part-I: Paul Gs Life and Message Part-II: Issue-based Themes 1. Neo-Liberal Globalisation and the Impact on the Marginalised 2. Violation of the Rights of the Marginalised and Response of the Civil Society 3. Emerging Indian Scenario and the Rights of the Marginalised These over-arching themes cover various issues on a large spectrum and there is still room for broadening the scope if necessary. Part-III: Some of Paul Gs important Writings
List of proposed authors: Paul Gs associates at ISI Delhi and Bangalore Paul Gs friends and admirers with AICUF connections Paul Gs friends not associated with the above institutions

Paul Gs birthday falls on 30th August but we will have to rush if we want the release of the book on the same day. I suggest that we have the release of the book on Paul Gs First Death Anniversary. On his Birth Anniversary in 2012, other events like Guest Lecture Series and release of other minor publications can be held at various places. Thanks everybody for cooperation!
