The latest Blue Star Card Bake Off and Coupon Exchange will take place on Tuesday, June 12 from 11:00 am 1:00 pm at the Porter Community Center. Show off you baking skills with a dessert featuring this months key ingredient, Peanut Butter. Dont bake? Just come out to trade coupons with your BSC pals and sample the treats to vote for the best tasting! The winner will be next months featured recipe. Big R: Car Care 101, June 19 - Tony Group Autoplex Countdown another month of deployment with you Blue Star Card pals on Tuesday, June 19 from 6:30 - 8:30 pm at Tony Group Autoplex (in Waipahu, next to Costco). The experts at Tony Group want to give you a hands-on learning experience to become skilled at maintaining your vehicle as well as a fun time with your fellow Blue Star Card holders! Parents Night Out

Parents Night Out will be held June 2 (AMR CDC and AMR Youth Center), June 16 (Schofield CDC and Schofield School Age Center). For more information on Parents Night Out or to make a reservation, call the Schofield Barracks CYS Services Registration Office at 655-5314 or the AMR Registration Office at 833-5393. Health and Fitness Center Kids on Site Information:

The Kids on Site care for the Health and Fitness center will remain free for valid Blue Star Card holders, Mon.-Fri., 8-11 a.m., at Kaala Community Activities Center, Bldg. 556. Registration is required. For more information please call 655-8628. This does not count against your 16 free hours of care!

INGREDIENTS
Pound cake, cut into 1-inch-thick slices White frosting Fruit leather Flaked coconut An assortment of candies and jellies for sweet toppings and sushi sides

DIRECTIONS
1. For rolls, use a knife to cut 1 1/2-inch circles from a slice of cake. 2. Frost the tops of the circles, then wrap a 6-inch strip of fruit leather seaweed around each one, using a dab of frosting to secure it. 3. Press coconut rice into the frosting. 4. For individual sushi, cut a cake slice into rectangles and round the edge. 5. Frost the top and sides of each oval, then roll it in coconut. Sweet toppings: From left to right, starting with the top row, we used orange nonpareils, apricot preserves, and pieces of Twizzlers Rainbow Twists. In the middle row, we used a green gumdrop slice, diced Swedish Fish, and gumdrop wedges. On the bottom row, we topped the sushi base with a Swedish Fish, then wrapped it with a strip of fruit leather. Sushi sides: To make wasabi, warm a green Starburst candy in the microwave for 10 seconds, then use your hands to work it into a mound. For pickled ginger, microwave and flatten an orange Starburst candy, then bunch it up into a pile, as shown on top. Blue Star Recipes Spice up deployment!
