StarShip Version 11 Update StarShip version 11 includes the 2011 carrier rate and service updates in addition to other

enhancements. This document provides sequential steps for updating StarShip versions 10.0.2 - 10.1.1 Server, Client and SQL Database to StarShip version 11. **Perform a full backup of your StarShip database from the StarShip Server Manager console: Database >Backup Wizard > Manual Backup

1. Ensure that StarShip Server Manager is not running 3. Ensure that the StarShip Client is closed on all machines 4. Ensure that the StarShip Dashboard is closed on all machines

StarShip Server Update Run the downloaded serversetup.exe on the machine hosting the StarShip Server

PLEASE NOTE: If the ".NET Framework 3.5 SP1" is de-selected, please click on the link on the splash screen to be directed to the appropriate website. You will be prompted to download and install the file. If "SQL Server 2005 or 2008" is de-selected, please click on the link on the splash screen to be directed to the appropriate website. You will be prompted to download and install the file.

Click Crystal Reports 2010 Runtime

Select Open

Open the folder once the download has finished

Run the Crystal reports .msi file

Click on the Refresh link once the splash screen loads

Click on the StarShip Server link

Select Continue

Click OK

Select the option to Update existing installation

Select the option to create backups of the replaced files, then click Next

Click Finish to check for updates on the web

Click OK if no new updates are found

StarShip Client Update Run the downloaded clientsetup.exe on each machine hosting the StarShip desktop client Note: Updating the StarShip Client may require a reboot in some instances.

Click OK if no new updates are found
