LETTERS FROM THE STAFF OF THE 14th DEGREE AND BEYOND, INC.
Peace, I am so proud to be adding on to this legendary magazine. For those who have traveled with us through our journeys from 1998 and are still rotating with us today, and to all of our new readers and supporters who have yet to experience what we have to offer, Id like to say, PEACE. The 14th Degree has been through many ciphers and is back rough and tough like leather (as Raekwon said). We have all wanted to see the return of this magazine and finally, it is here. I felt the need for its return for many reasons. Most of all, I felt it was urgent that womens issues were heard and addressed and that we had a forum to strengthen our sisterly bonds. I look forward to continuous building and destroying to better the lives and to add on to the knowledge and understanding of our readers, men, women and children. Peace, Sci-Honor Devotion

Peace and Blessings! It is such a divine expression of reality to be able to reconnect with some of the most dynamic sisters in this Nation to revitalize The 14th Degree and Beyond Magazine for the Original Woman. I first joined the staff in 2000, and in 2001 became one of the incorporators of the Organization helping to take it to the next level with Earth Classes, the International Earth Conferences, events, and of course, our quarterly magazine. This magazine has been a template in my development and growth as Earth and a Black Woman in general, and continues to learn and refine based on reading the wise words of the issues past. As our issue is titled There is no Beginning or Ending shows and proves the timelessness of the wisdom of and for the Original Woman with knowledge of herself. Over the years, many of us have gone through life-changing experiences that caused us to elevate in our careers, build our Nation through family expansion, battle challenging economic times, overcome our health issues, and in general, be aware of the cultural and socio-economical happenings across the globe that will th and have affected us at home. In all of these experiences, The 14 Degree and Beyond, Inc. touched us in one way or another. Now, for the next generation of readers and contributors, we reach out to you and embrace your wisdom, feedback, articles, or just your presence as you allow us into your cipher in sharing this great publication with you. PEACE Queen Victorious Lanasia Earth

Peace Asiatics, I first got involved with the 14th Degree in 99, after securing the contact information of Sharqueen Earth, and called her in that hyper-enthused demeanor that newborns often have when theyve finally become confident in their re-birth as God or Earth. We built on the math and the lessons, and when the Earth was certain that I was just and true in my intentions to build, she versed with me on the history of the magazine, her vision for elevating Black women throughout the wilderness by teaching them the tools needed to be successful among this devils civilization, and shared with me her understanding that we, as Earths, cant limit ourselves to the literal translation of the duties laid out for us within the 14th degree (raising children, taking care of our Gods, cooking, sewing, and modifying our behavior). Our obligation starts with those things, and once they are mastered we have to stay motivated to elevate above and beyond those responsibilities alone becoming Universal Builders in addition to Nation Builders and Queens of the Kingdom. My participation began as a contributing writer, and in time, I became a member of the staff and we decided to do more than just write revolution we decided to take action and bring the sisters we were reaching through the written word together in the person. And thus was born the International Earth Conferences that were held at the Oberia Dempsey Center in the years 2000, 2002 and 2004 at which we had formal lectures, informational workshops, righteous food, and social equality. Out of the first Conference was born The Positive Pen Pal Project a fellowship of Sister-Earths who didnt want the bonds to weaken after wed met in the person, so we agreed to get to know each other even better by keeping up our communications through a letter writing campaign. These Conferences were a milestone in the Nation because they showed massive unity among women and strengthened our sisterhood, and also encouraged us all to become more active in regards to implementing programs in our respective communities at large in order to uplift the Universal Black Family and most importantly, properly educate and train our youth. In 2001, we evolved again when we got incorporated as a not-for-profit organization and started holding community courses for the betterment of women and children (and I say we loosely, because I actually resided in Chicago for much of this time). In 2004, our circulation ceased for a multitude of reasons, but I have always wanted to see the 14th Degree and Beyond Magazine renewed. So, Im elated that this day of renewal for the 14th Degree has finally come, and blessed to be part of this Nation Building venture for the very same reasons that I added-on to begin with (nearly 10 years ago) to be an active Nation Builder through a vehicle that focuses on issues directly relating to original women and enables me to equally learn, educate and express. In Love & Peace, Eboni Joy Asiatic

Peace
th I am Queen Civilized Zag. When I was first approached to be on the staff of the 14 Degree and Beyond I was extremely flattered. This publication has such a revered and accomplished history so lil ol me?!...on the staffTRUE! Lol. I came to the Knowledge of myself approximately 7 years ago when Eboni resided in Chicago (she was the first Earth I ever built with), SciHonor was making the BOMB facial steam cleansers, shampoos, lotions etc and Victorious Lanasia was swinging swords online.. My true Building didnt begin until quite some time later, when I relocated back to the east coast. Took some time to do the knowledge to myself again and really understand what it was to be true and living.

So here I am, all grown up. Embracing all that these women and this nation has offered me and willing that they are receiving what I have to offer just as readily. What the 14th Degree represents and offers regarding the strength and growth of women is something that is so inspiring and dear to everything that I strive to teach not only my daughter but the women around me. With that I will say Peace and I build that you will continue to enjoy and learn from this publication as I have come to learn from it and the Nation of Gods and Earths.

EARTH SCIENCE
Who is Meccasia?
An Interview with SciHonor Devotion Can you introduce yourself and tell us where you are from? Peace, my attribute is Meccasia. I dropped the I Divine long ago. I am a mother of five. I have four daughters and one son; I am a grandmother of five, and a nurse by profession. Yet, I describe myself as a woman who has come far, traveled many paths, and still remains on the journey. How did you acquire your attribute and how do you see it? I got my first attribute from my God at that time Allahs Justice who is the original founder of The Desert Far Rockaway. He named me I Divine Meccasia meaning Heavenly Body. My babies used to call me Meccasia when they were little. I never considered it disrespectful for them to call me by my first name. I have since come to know that I am not only a heavenly body but the stuff of the universe and the dark matter that hold it to together. How did you get Knowledge of Self and in what year was that? I got knowledge of self during my sophomore year in high school. The sisters were ths wearing 3/4 , head wraps and all. That was in 1976. So I approached one of the sisters and began asking questions. For me it was a very conscious decision to make some changes in my life. I remember very clearly thinking that there is a better, different way to live my life. I remember we used go into the classroom and tell the teachers, This is my name now., and they would call us by that name. If we decided to change it the next day they would accommodate that to. Out of fear or respect, I don t know? How many babies did you have with Allahs Justice? What are their names and ages? Allahs Justice and I have five children Asia I Mecca U Equality age 30, Kiasia Essence Born Equality 28, Princess Earthiasia 26, Meccasia Nashaun 23, and Allahs Justice 20 As a birth professional, I always love to hear birth stories. Can you give us an account of each of your births and how they affected you?

Was it common for all Gods and Earths to have homebirths at that time? Most of my children were born at home. My first born child was delivered at a hospital under the usual circumstances. The experience turned me off so much that I decided to never deliver in a hospital setting again. I remember this wonderful feeling of relief after delivering my first born. It was as if I had been carrying around this weight and I had gotten so used to the weight that I no longer realized how heavy it was until it was lifted from me. Well, while I was in the mist of this tremendously good feeling, the doctor comes and begins to stitch me up. Then to adding insult to injury he actually began tugging at the stitches. Needless to say I got out of there as soon as I could and decided never to have another child in a hospital again. I had my next three in a home setting. Not a lot of earths where having their babies at home then. For my next delivery the god and I began to prepare or so I thought. As I began my labor, my God got nervous and a brother by the name of Tyshon actually delivered my second born child. He was a brother most of the Gods admired because he had two Earths living in the same household. I remember one sister was called Arabia. I cant remember the other sisters name. The sister whose name I cant remember had four babies by the God and Arabia had five and they were all living in the same house. They used to fight like hell those two women. I also remember the time they delivered babies within a few hours of each other. Anyway by the time I got around to having my third child, my God was telling me to stop acting like my labor was killing me when it began. My fourth delivery was an unremarkable homebirth as well. By the time I was pregnant with my son, the doctor considered me high risk. I wound up delivering him in the hospital. But of course things had changed a bit by then and I was able to keep him in the room with me and feed him as I wanted. But that damn episiotomy was the same. Did you see any major differences between your children and 85% children while raising them? As I was raising my children of course I saw the differences in how I was rearing my children and the 85% around them. Some of the sisters struggled to hold their children to a higher standard while other just gave up and let the children run wild and not all of them were 85% that gave up. I found out that to love God body was not enough but that you had to sincerely love Allahs mathematics for yourself. Otherwise, when God body left, the wilderness would be more than happy would take you back. I saw it happen too many times back then as I am sure it stills happens

now. So my house became the house to come to have fun. I did not mind since I never allowed my children to spend the night at their friends houses. I think the first time one of them spent the night at a friend house was at age 14. Were they all schooled in an institutionalized school setting? My children had mostly institutional school training. We did do homeschooling for a few years with Muslim sister named Sis Lorna. The school was called KIMBIC. I taught the kindergarten class while she taught the older children. We even had them working with a brother named Khalid Muhammad who was an outcast at the time from the Nation of Islam, the followers of Minister Farrakhan. Did having KOS make it easier to raise your babies? Having knowledge of self has allowed me to avoid a lot of common pit falls. By my daughters and son having this knowledge from birth has made them much stronger in a lot of ways. They dont succumb to the usual rhetoric easily. Knowing there is no mystery God is a major fact that the rest of the world has not yet awoken to. What can you tell us about the Earths from that era? What did you all consider refinement and what was unacceptable? The refinement of my time was perhaps what you would call a bit extreme. If Your God allowed you to wear pants you were expected to wear a tunic or dress over them to cover your behind. Head wraps were th optional but 3/4 was to be to the ankle or not much above it. The material of your blouse could not be flimsy enough to be seen through or clingy enough to show nipples. Buttons were to remain buttoned with no cleavage allowed. Makeup was frowned upon, including lipstick. Earths were looked down upon if they were not in 3/4ths. Headwraps were pretty much optional. Earths would approach sisters who were not dressed in 3/4th according to the standard 3/4ths of an Earth. The sisters were always critical of each other. Its hard for black women to like, much less love each other. Since we are dealing with the 14th Degree and Beyond, I have to ask what skills were the Earths expected to have? And were they expected to knowledge 120? Were the Earths expected to Teach and hold Earth Ciphers and Classes? When Earths came to Rallies, what was expected of them? Earths were required to have knowledge of what food additives were including pork. We were also required to have skills in cooking, cleaning, raising the children, sewing, crocheting, etc. We were not required to teach in the community because the Gods taught.

We did have MGT classes but a lot times sisters would only come because the Gods brought them the to class. I remember the time when I quoted 120 and it was such an amazement for me to have 120. It wasnt really expected that an Earth had 120. It was not a requirement. It was actually very rare. I never saw any Earths at a rally build. During show and Proves, wed do Fashion shows, and one time we remade the song, Reunited by Peaches and Herb and made it Were United cuz the Blackman is God and performed it. During rallies the earths would bring cooked food to sell or just for the group that they traveled with. Theyd also sell crowns, etc. There were no baby ciphers and no earth ciphers. We would always try to determine who was the most down for the nation by casting doubt about one anothers form of dress, or stumbling over a lesson. As far as diet, we did keep each other informed as to the latest new form of pork additive usually as a means of ones upmanship How were the Earths viewed in the community during that era? The general consensus in the community was one of dislike of the nation as a whole especially from the parents of our young brothers and sisters. But they knew that the wrath of God would fall if a sister was disrespected or harmed in any way What was the general agreed upon diet in the Nation at that time? Was there a big vegetarian movement during those days? What is your diet like now? The only diet restriction was not to eat pork in any form. When in doubt, do without was the saying of my generation. There was no big movement toward vegetarianism although the God and I were lacto-vegetarian back in the day. Currently, I eat organic chicken and fish. Were you or any of the Earths that you knew in Polygamous relationships? How did you see those experiences? Most sisters expected their Gods to be Monogamous. You may have found Gods teaching many sisters but not with them physically. My God was ok with me teaching other women. Sisters were mainly coming for the brother though. Consciousness was attractive. As I was teaching women though, theyd end up liking the God. I wasnt having that because maintaining my relationship as it was, was hard enough. Was it hard to maintain being Earth once you and the God separated? When we separated, I wanted to go in a totally different direction because of my personal feelings toward the God. But even when I tried to live other than self, I knew I was wrong. I couldnt. I was able to

maintain a level of civilization for my children because I didnt want my children to go astray. One sister had 7 or 8 children. Her God went to jail because he got into it with another God. She turned straight 85%. She went back to where she was before she got the God. Her children terrorized the community. They were wild. The homeschooling sister took the children under her wing and that helped a lot. When Gods left, a lot of sisters couldnt take it. Their math was based on the brother. In I Sincerely Love Allahs Mathematics, the I comes first. What advice can you offer younger Gods and Earths in regards to relationship building and maintenance? If I had to give any advise, it would be to communicate and always talk it out.. Accept each other as they are with all of their faults. Grow together. If you know they are weak, you have to strengthen it together or you have accept it but if you cant accept it, you have to go. Economical strain can break a relationship down. You cant let that happen. What advice would you give to the younger generations of Earths who are living this way of life? How would you advise them in avoiding common mistakes you and/or Earths of your generation made? Be more independent as far as study. You have to study for yourself. When you find out for yourself, you have a more sincere love for it, or you will lose it. How were you able to maintain going to school while raising your 5 children and what advice would you give younger Earths that are striving to pursue a career? It was hard and it will always be hard when you have a family. My advice would be to focus on your goals. When you take your eyes off your goals, you will always see your obstacles. But if you stay focused you will not see the obstacles. Keep the goal a priority. We had to sacrifice at times. Eat rice and beans. I was a manager at Burger King at one point. Then, I worked 16 hours a day on Saturdays and Sundays from 3-11 and then 11-7. Then, I would go to school on Mondays at 9am. School was 5 days a week. For my boards I had to have a certain amount of school hours. Any missed days had to be made up. Since I had no car, I caught rides with classmates. I had nice classmates who were willing to help me out. Dont let anything deter you. Its a need not a want. Right now, Im a Licensed Practical Nurse and although Im an LPN, I am in a position as a Staff Developer, which allows me to teach RNs because of my experience. Did you feel comfortable leaving your children alone while you worked and went to school?

What responsibilities did they have while you were gone? My children pretty much had to be independent. The older ones had to keep younger ones. They had to cook and clean at 8 and 9 years old. I had to leave them so I could work. I worried more about the neighborhoods influences on them, since we were in the ghetto and taught them that just because you live in the ghetto, the ghetto doesnt have to live in you. I always taught them not to throw trash where you live. Why did you move to Nevada? There was nothing left for me personally in NJ. I had an important relationship after the God, but it didnt work out. I had to make a choice a man or my Children. My children still needed mothering and there was no compromise. He was a good man and supportive in a lot of respects, but I had to decide. When bad things happen, your children are there. When there is no food, YOU and YOUR BABIES have no food. If the man is not there, your children will always be there. I saw no future in NJ. I moved to Nevada to get other options. My mother was here in Nevada and it was easier for me to be closer to her. My children were in teens and they didnt want to move. But they had to. How would you say knowledge of self impacted your life? Having Knowledge of Self made a BIG difference. Knowledge is the key to survival. If I didnt have mathematics, I dont know where, who or how I would be mentally and physically. I learned about diet, health, the environment and so much more. I had key areas of study meaning that it gave me focus on what I needed to focus on personally. It gave me confidence because I see things in a different manner at work and everywhere I go. Mathematics is like a backbone. Its the spine that holds the body upright.

Q. How fast does our Planet Travel? A. 1, 037 1/3 Miles per hour Is that Terrific, or what?

Peace and the 10th jewel to my Universal Family. I come in the righteous name of I Wisdom ReflectSun Earth. There is a serious epidemic going on in the Black Community and all of us have an obligation to do our part in overcoming it. We all must be an integral part of healing our communities for the sake of the babies and ourselves. If asked what works you have put in, voluntary or not, to show and prove who you are and the path that you lay for future generations, what would be your response? Can you truly say that you are adding on positively, are you willing to heal yourself in order to heal others? As I examine the preceding question, the entire reality of why I chose to build on this subject sadly presents itself, and that is that I am not satisfied with the path that I have laid and followed thus far. You see, most of us, if not all of us (some just dont want to admit it) are born into slavery, mentally. In other words, we are victims of the slave mentality that our ancestors have taught us. How do I show and prove that? With just a few simple questions, and if you can answer yes to any combination (or all) of the following questions, then you at some time, even if not now, have been a victim: Have you ever beaten your children as a form of discipline, or been beaten yourself? Have you ever felt inferior when in a room full of Europeans, or high profile Originals? Have you ever called your children a derogatory or hurtful name when you got upset at them, or been called one yourself as a youth? Have you ever wished (and most will cringe at this one, BUT go deep inside yourself for the answer) secretly, that you were other than who you are and or wished you had straight hair, or features that were not so bold?

be owned. In other words, we needed to be controlled in order to be what we thought at that time was complete. So how does that roll into my existence? It is quite simple, I was that controlled person, as a child I was told what to eat, how to eat it, when to sleep, when to wake up, what to do for leisure, what I wanted to become as an adult, and that was just in the home environment. At school it was an entirely different plantation. There, I was fed lies about who I was, I was taught how to limit myself because I was told that I could only do certain things. I was up-rooted from my ancestral foundation by being told that I was not the descendent of royalty, and instead, beastly beings with no ability to function without the aid of another higher intelligence known as the European, or colored man. Can I really blame my oppressors? Now cipher, because most of us are just replications of our parents, the first teachers. This stigma actually goes back many generations. It is a common reality for most that we have just allowed these seeds of deception, injustice and negativity to fester and grow to the point of combustion. We felt that pressure, and everyday wanted to release it, BUT we feared that releasing it would cause us more pain and misery. Because, how does one really release these built up pressures? They explode. Well, that used to be my reality, BUT it is not anymore. I now have adopted different forms of coping, which by the way is a huge problem for most and they do not even know it. I have started the path to healing, in other words releasing that pressure in a simple step by step process that I like to call the KOS (pronounced cawz) Effect. It is as follows: 1. To first admit to yourself that change is needed.

The list can go on and on, and if you cannot answer yes to any of these then there will be at least one that you can relate to. As I stated in the prior statement, I am not satisfied with the path I have followed thus far and in dealing with the laws of motion, that which I have laid, I can personally answer yes to all of these questions, sadly. BUT am I embarrassed? Now cipher. It actually is quite refreshing to be able to release it. Being a part of the mentally enslaved can cause us, most often, to have a problem with freedom. You see, as slaves we were taught to accept oppression, and love our oppressors. We were taught that if someone did not own us it was because we were not worthy to

2. To first look within yourself for the place to start the change. 3. To evaluate who you really are and not what you are taught to believe. 4. To willingly be that change you desire to see. 5. To lead by example daily as you strive to achieve that change. 6. To help others along their path to change, namely, your immediate cipher first and then branch outward.

7. To reevaluate the progress made during your change process, and see if it is a positive or negative add on 8. To continually strive each day to make a morsel of progress as you grow. 9. To teach through your learning 10. To stay focused on the middle so you can always see the next step without losing sight of where youve been (this decreases your chances of repeating the same things) 11. To learn to forgive yourself for what you have done to others while for-giving them for what they have done to you. (This right here you will find is a very powerful step in releasing and healing) 12. To learn to love you more and more each step of the way. Now one may ask if I truly show and prove these steps at all times, and to be honest, lately, I have been put in situations where I found out that I have not. So what is one to do? The answer is simple in nature, start back at one. When we are tested and do not get through it, then we simply rebuild, relearn and reevaluate it until we get it right. There is a lot of power in consistency. You have to come to a point of not embracing your problem, while at the same time acknowledging it exists. Be mindful of what you are facing, BUT not so much that you let it be so in your face that it blocks you from seeing past it to get to the solution. These are some common steps that my King and I take to limit (destroy) our negative impact on the past while positively improving on (building) the future, for our seeds, our selves our community, our environment. We have both walked in the footsteps of ones past that we did more so by force than choice as the imprint was so vast that even when our little feet walked our own path, if we looked at the bigger picture we were just making new smaller treads in the larger ones set before us. To my beloved brothers and sisters, willfully, this window into my thoughts will aid at least one of you to start your road to healing, or, at the least, motivate you to assist others in theirs.

101 Amazing Earth Facts (PART I)

submitted by Victorious Lanasia Earth

1. What is the hottest place on Earth? Count one wrong if you guessed Death Valley in California. True enough on many days. But El Azizia in Libya recorded a temperature of 136 degrees Fahrenheit (57.8 Celsius) on Sept. 13, 1922 -- the hottest ever measured. In Death Valley, it got up to 134 Fahrenheit on July 10, 1913.

2. And the coldest place around here? Far and away, the coldest temperature ever measured on Earth was -129 Fahrenheit (-89 Celsius) at Vostok, Antarctica, on July 21, 1983.

Positive Existence Annihilates Chaotic Energy

3. What makes thunder? If you thought, "Lightning!" then hats off to you. But I had a more illuminating answer in mind. The air around a lightning bolt is superheated to about five times the temperature of the Sun. This sudden heating causes the air to expand faster than the speed of sound, which compresses the air and forms a shock wave; we hear it as thunder. 9. What two great American cities are destined to merge? The San Andreas fault, which runs north-south, is slipping at a rate of about 2 inches (5 centimeters) per year, causing Los Angeles to move towards San Francisco. Scientists forecast LA will be a suburb of the City by the Bay in about 15 million years. 10. Is Earth a sphere? Because the planet rotates and is more flexible than you might imagine, it bulges at the midsection, creating a sort of pumpkin shape. The bulge was lessening for centuries but now, suddenly, it is growing, a recent study showed. Accelerated melting of Earth's glaciers is taking the blame for the gain in equatorial girth. 11. What would a 100-pound person weigh on Mars? The gravity on Mars is 38 percent of that found on Earth at sea level. So a 100-pound person on Earth would weigh 38 pounds on Mars. Based on NASA (news - web sites)'s present plans, it'll be decades before this assumption can be observationally proved, however. 12. How long is a Martian year? It's a year long, if you're from Mars. To an earthling, it's nearly twice as long. The red planet takes 687 days to go around the Sun -- compared to 365 days for Earth. So calendars on Mars are all 687 days long. If you find one, please mail it to me. I'm curious how they worked out the months, given they have two moons. 13. How long is the average Martian day? 7. How far does regular dust blow in the wind? A 1999 study showed that African dust finds its way to Florida and can help push parts of the state over the prescribed air quality limit for particulate matter set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (news - web sites). The dust is kicked up by high winds in North Africa and carried as high as 20,000 feet (6,100 meters), where it's caught up in the trade winds and carried across the sea. Dust from China makes its way to North America, too. 8. Where is the worlds highest waterfall? The water of Angel Falls in Venezuela drops 3,212 feet (979 meters). A Martian can sleep (or work) and extra half-hour every day compared to you. Mars days are 24 hours and 37 minutes long, compared to 23 hours, 56 minutes on Earth. A day on any planet in our solar system is determined by how long it takes the world to spin once on its axis, making the Sun appear to rise in the morning and sending it down in the evening. 14. What is the largest volcano? The Mauna Loa volcano in Hawaii holds the title here on Earth. It rises more than 50,000 feet (9.5 miles or 15.2 kilometers) above its base, which sits under the surface of the sea. But that's all volcanic chump change. Olympus Mons on Mars rises 16

4. Can rocks float? In a volcanic eruption, the violent separation of gas from lava produces a "frothy" rock called pumice, loaded with gas bubbles. Some of it can float, geologists say. I've never seen this happen, and I'm thankful for that.

5. Can rocks grow? Yes, but observing the process is less interesting than watching paint dry. Rocks called ironmanganese crusts grow on mountains under the sea. The crusts precipitate material slowly from seawater, growing about 1 millimeter every million years. Your fingernails grow about the same amount every two weeks.

6. How much space dust falls to Earth each year? Estimates vary, but the USGS (news - web sites) says at least 1,000 million grams, or roughly 1,000 tons of material enters the atmosphere every year and makes its way to Earths surface. One group of scientists claims microbes rain down from space, too, and that extraterrestrial organisms are responsible for flu epidemics. There's been no proof of this, and I'm not holding my breath.

miles (26 kilometers) into the Martian sky. Its base would almost cover the entire state of Arizona. 15. What was the deadliest known earthquake (news - web sites)? The worlds deadliest recorded earthquake occurred in 1557 in central China. It struck a region where most people lived in caves carved from soft rock. The dwellings collapsed, killing an estimated 830,000 people. In 1976 another deadly temblor struck Tangshan, China. More than 250,000 people were killed. 16. What was the strongest earthquake in recent times? A 1960 Chilean earthquake, which occurred off the coast, had a magnitude of 9.6 and broke a fault more than 1,000 miles (1,600 kilometers) long. An earthquake like that under a major city would challenge the best construction techniques. 17. Which earthquake was more catastrophic: Kobe, Japan or Northridge, California? The 1994 Northridge earthquake had a magnitude of 6.7 was responsible for approximately 60 deaths, 9,000 injuries, and more than $40 billion in damage. The Kobe earthquake of 1995 was magnitude 6.8 and killed 5,530 people. There were some 37,000 injuries and more than $100 billion in economic loss. 18. How far is it to the center of the Earth? The distance from the surface of Earth to the center is nearly 3,700 miles (5,955 kilometers). Much of Earth is fluid. The mostly solid skin of the planet is only 41 miles (66 kilometers) thick -thinner than the skin of an apple, relatively speaking. 19. What is the highest mountain? Climbers who brave Mt. Everest in the Nepal-Tibet section of the Himalayas reach 29,028 feet (nearly 9 kilometers) above sea level. 20. Has the Moon always been so close? It used to be much closer! A billion years ago, the Moon was in a tighter orbit, taking just 20 days to go around us and make a month. A day on Earth back then was only 18 hours long. The Moon is still moving away -- about 1.6 inches (4 centimeters) a year. Meanwhile, Earth's rotation is slowing down, lengthening our days. In the distant future, a day will be 960 hours long! [Find out why]

21. Where is the lowest dry point on Earth? The shore of the Dead Sea in the Middle East is about 1,300 feet (400 meters) below sea level. Not even a close second is Bad Water in Death Valley, California, at a mere 282 feet below sea level. 22. Good thing California isn't sinking further, right? Actually parts of it are, which is so interesting that I snuck this non-question onto the list. In a problem repeated elsewhere in the country, the pumping of natural underground water reservoirs in California is causing the ground to sink up to 4 inches (11 centimeters) per year in places. Water and sewage systems may soon be threatened. 23. What is the longest river? The Nile River in Africa is 4,160 miles (6,695 kilometers) long. 24. What is the most earthquake-prone state in the United States? Alaska experiences a magnitude 7 earthquake almost every year, and a magnitude 8 or greater earthquake on average every 14 years. Florida and North Dakota get the fewest earthquakes in the states, even fewer than New York. 25. What's the driest place on Earth? A place called Arica, in Chile, gets just 0.03 inches (0.76 millimeters) of rain per year. At that rate, it would take a century to fill a coffee cup. 26. What causes a landslide? Intense rainfall over a short period of time can trigger shallow, fast-moving mud and debris flows. Slow, steady rainfall over a long period of time may trigger deeper, slow-moving landslides. Different materials behave differently, too. Every year as much as $2 billion in landslide damage occurs in the United States. In a record-breaking storm in the San Francisco area in January 1982, some 18,000 debris flows were triggered during a single night! Property damage was over $66 million, and 25 people died. 27. How fast can mud flow? Debris flows are like mud avalanches that can move at speeds in excess of 100 mph (160 kph). TO BE CONTINUED

BUILDERS BUILD
14:1-14 Written by Queen Civilized Zag What is the Meaning of MGT and GCC? Ans. Muslim Girl Training and General Civilization Classes. This is that name given to the women and girls in the Nation of Islam teaching them how to: Keep a home Raise their children Keep a Husband Sew Cook and in general how to act at home and abroad. These training units were named by our Prophet WD Fard. Peace to the Nation of Gods and Earths. I am Queen Civilized. My sister and I were building about women and strength and playing our position vs. at times being so used to doing everything ourselves some may not know how to let go. The responsibility of women has grown so much over the years from just being the one to maintain the home. We have been thrust into single parenthood, as well as possibly not even having children or a husband but living our lives on our own. Because of these changes in positions from when were brought here we have come to almost embrace the fear that was planted in us that if we do not do it no one will. And that because we have been doing what supposedly a man is supposed to be doing for so long what do we need him for other then sex and an occasional date. I am not saying this is the thoughts of all but perhaps some. When I came into a relationship with God it was very difficult for me to accept that I didnt have to do everything. I have been so used to it all this time that when he offered his help I either refused or just made him think that I didnt need any. Perhaps that was being prideful to a fault but at the same time I was used to it. I didnt want to start relying on him because I was so certain that he would leave. But as we went through degrees I gained a better understanding of who and what God is and who at what I am. I have always been taught and raised that the womans position was to take care of the home so that wasnt an issue it was having some one help me financially, emotionally, around the house etc that was the problem. I mean who did he think he was???!!! But that is the beauty of truly being in a God and Earth Union the best part.

Some women may see the 14th degree as a limitation but it is not. Because it is not just talking to women. These guidelines also apply to God and that should be understood. In order to keep a home a woman must have a firm foundation to build upon. We cant build on Mud because we will sink. When a home is not properly set up that is when problems begin. As a woman I understand that some of my decisions are based on emotion. Though the proper order is 1,2 and 3... Some may need help applying that order. Because of the lack of true an living some rush into their households with out doing the knowledge completely first and the cipher either falters or remains in chaos until it is irretrievable. When God KEEPS a home he makes sure that either side has a true knowledge of who each other is not only to each other but to themselves. Because this is knowledge of SELF not Knowledge of the dude/chick Im dealin wit who says he/shes God/Earth so let me get my righteous on. When God Keeps a home he is strong enough to say when he is weak, when hes wrong, when he loves you and the seeds, when he needs you and the seeds, when holds you and the babies, when he provides in every aspect his says that he will, when he put Home first before anything else. Thats how you keep a home. A Childs first teacher is the mother true.. However, doesnt a father play an integral part? Does he not Fat the Earth with the knowledge of HERSELF so that she may bring forth a true and living understanding? And is that not what she then teaches to the children? Is the father not also a ruling force in disciplining the children in helping them see an example of Male strength and the proper and supreme order of life. Are they not the first example of what a young Earth should expect of her future God and how a Young God should treat his future Earth in order for THEM to build properly? Indeed. A God is not only to be keptbut so is the Earth. Whom is God without someone to TRULY build along side him and born his understanding mentally and physically? He must make sure that we not only KNOW who he is but see his ways and actions that support such and want to reflect that divinity because then the out come the acceptance is what creates a peaceful union because you know that what and who you are living is true and just and not just right but right and exact. He understands that we are strong enough to hold him when he his weak but we need to be held too. That we will support his endeavors but we need his support that we will maintain and build in the home that is ours but he needs to secure the foundation. That we will fulfill him in as many ways as we can and he

should strive to do the same and that you cant expect more of someone else then you are willing to give yourself. I know men who can sew literally. In this degree however we take it furtherin what other ways does God Sew? By keeping the home together. So when there is a rift, a tear, something is broken he is there to help heal and mend it. God Cooks because we (2 and 3) are the ingredients that make up the cipher that he puts togetherwe are what makes his Peace of mind, body and heart. Most importantly how a man acts at home and abroad is directly reflected by his mate and eventually his seeds. If God cant refine himself and the solidarity that binds his cipher when you are amongst other planets and even other entitys in general how can you teach your cipher to do that when we are challenged? If your ways and actions outside of your cipher are thrown in our faces by those who see you act other then what we know to be yourself what then? It is that confusion that lies in so many ciphers because by nature the black man is God and once he accepts that responsibilitythere are expectations of him just as there are of the Earth. We are to be RIGHT AND EXACT not WRONG AND APPROXIMATED. These training units were named by our prophet WD Fardbut we must bring forth our own understanding Peace Gods and Earths

Love Hell or Love Right

By Eboni Joy Asiatic Peace Family I am Eboni Joy Asiatic. I wrote the following build as a precursor to a podcast recording for www.OriginalThoughtMag.com on August 12th. However, knowing that all of us do not have internet access, I thought it pertinent to refine the build for publication in The 14th Degree Magazine. The focus of the build is on the days Supreme Mathematics of Knowledge Wisdom all being born to Understanding (knowledge is the first principle of Supreme Mathematics, and wisdom is the second being that one plus two equals three, we get to the third principle, which is Understanding) and how those principles relate to the correlating axioms within the Supreme Alphabet, which are Love, Hell, or Right. I chose to focus on this subject matter, primarily LOVE, for several reasons. Many of us believe that love is just a feeling, but, to quote one of my favorite movies Love is just a word to describe a connection, and so we have to acknowledge and understand the reasons why we develop these connections and bonds to other people, and reprogram ourselves to put self-love first. There was an original woman (so-called woman of color) named Queen True Reality, who was of the Nation of Gods and Earths, and upon falling in love with a Black man who came to her falsely in the name of Allah and righteousness, she bore him two children. After a series of domestic violence disputes and constant abuse suffered by the Queen, this Black man who she professed to love (and refused to leave because of their connection) eventually killed her. So this build is dedicated to Queen True Reality, and the many other Black women who suffer physical and emotional abuse at the hands of the men the believe they love, but who, in reality, SHOW no love. Knowledge of self starts with learning who we are as individuals, and in turn we learn the history of us, where we come from, and what made us who we are today. This enables us to progress in discovering who we want to be in the future as we study, learn and manifest. Knowledge is information learned through observation, study, experimentation and experience. Wisdom is the implementation of your know-how putting thought to practice transforming ideas into action. And Understanding is the culminating effects of knowledge activated understanding is seeing just why our know-how is useful, and why knowledge and wisdom are necessary in living a successfully purpose driven life.

So what does this have to do with the axioms Love, Hell and Right? The Gods and Earths teach that Love is the highest form of understanding or the highest elevation and Ive always taken that to mean that when you love someone you know them, their character and personality, their behavioral patterns and habits, their deeds their selfish tendencies, their compulsions and lackadaisicalness, their likes and distastes, their goals and their apprehensions, their insecurities and capabilities because youve been a witness to how they live their life, how they interact with others, you know how they treat YOU, and you know how they treat and what they think of their own self. So love is the highest elevation because you not only KNOW all these things about someone, the best and worst of them, but youve consciously chosen to accept and respect them for who they are, understanding that you compliment each other, your strengths strengthens their weaknesses and therefore makes them stronger and vice versa. Your knowledge empowers your loved one, your will helps bring discipline into their lives - you understand that you make each other better, thus the definition of love being the highest elevation. Without all of the above, there is no love only feeling, and emotions can be deceiving.
th The 12 letter of the English alphabet is L, the Gods and Earths refer to that as the Knowledge Wisdom degree of the Supreme Alphabet and represents, not just love, but also includes Hell and Right. It is common to hear Gods and Earths say different variations of love enables us to go through hell and come out right. So, if love is the highest state of mind or mental elevation, hell would be the lowest. Hell is a devilish or oppressed state of mind. It can be seen in the fits of depression that cause suicidal thoughts and even thoughts of hurting others, hell is having a mind clouded with thoughts of peoples judgments and criticisms that unhinges us with insecurities, hell is thoughts of I cant that hinders our ability to move and do, hell is low-self esteem, ignorance, stress and worries, and hell is also a punishment the repercussions of unrighteous behavior that leaves us in a state of suffering.

the righteous, whose lives are dedicated to the elevation of the collective rather than just the self. The reason I wanted to focus on love, hell, or right is because of the state of desperateness I see my sisters and I go through when choosing a partner, a mate, a guide, a lover, a husband and a God. I us all too often accept less than what we deserve because, well, for one, we do not know our own self worth because we lack self-love; two, we fear rejection and abandonment so we choose the man who desires us rather than being selective and choosing the man who loves us, and shows this love through acts and deeds, not words alone, - even if it takes more time for the right partner for us to come along (we need to learn patience, it is indeed a virtue). So the key is to love self first, so that we know and understand what it is to BE loved by another. So that we stop accepting treatment that is unbecoming of the righteous, and stop welcoming into our ciphers someone who is going to bring us down rather than build us up. Righteousness can be shown and proven as can true love as can, also, the reality of hell. To be right, is to live in accord with what is just and true. It is to be genuine and correct, to be in good health and in a proper state of mind, and its to be appropriate for the time and place in regards to our ways and actions. To be right, is to speak according to your acts - meaning, you speak on what you HAVE done, not solely on what you will do. A righteous man aint got time for all that talk cause hes too busy DOING! So, my sistas, Im gonna tell you like a brotha told me stay in heaven if you are looking for God. Dont come down to the level of the brothas who approach you in ignorance stand on the square of truth knowing that you are righteous in your thoughts and deeds, and if hes right for YOU hell show and prove that he is elevated and refined and deserving of your love. As my brotha said, women look for strength in men so that it may be passed to our descendents. So YOU have to remain strong and not fall victim to the jungle life existing all around us not fall victim to the ways of the 85, thinking well, maybe if I straightened my hair and put on a little make-up, or maybe if I wore tighter jeans, or some booty shorts, maybe if I showed some cleavage MAYBE will leave you high and dry and all by your lonesome or laid up with the wrong one, cause maybe is a sign of doubt and insecurity, and those are weaknesses.
th Im the Earth I rock 3/4 s of cloth and still be supa fly, I wear my hair locked knowing its the equivalent of a crown, I dont reveal my hills and

The point is that hell is not a place, its a state of mind that causes pain, fear, confusion, and ultimately hate sometimes hate of others, but primarily hatred of self. And if were in a state of mind that prevents us from loving self, how can we ever truly love another? And without love for the people, how can we ever be counted among

mountains because when I show that my convictions are compromisable, I have lost respect for self, and others will in turn inevitably lose respect for me, because that - self-doubt and digression are the beginning stages of losing knowledge of myself. So, as the God said stay in heaven, stay elevated, righteous, just, and true cause if you stoop to the level of a weaker man then you weaken the family structure in every way emotionally, financially, intellectually and even genetically. As my brotha said, only accept the strong minded into your cipher, as a lioness will not mate with a weak lion (but she may eat him). Self-preservation is the first law of nature, and we women often forsake our own well-being because of desires and fears. We have to learn to let what we know to be right and exact rule our ways and actions not unfounded emotion and feeling. We have to learn to love ourselves and channel the strength within, so that we can be wise in our choice of life partners and strengthen ourselves, our babies and family structures by choosing the love of a strong man. I was taught that when a man looks for his Queen, he is looking for his own reflection a woman who will strengthen his genetic line, who will make his home a heaven, and who will support him in his endeavors while continuing to manifest her goals into reality. If a man is intimidated by confidence, dont dull your glow, or weaken yourself so he can feel better about himself You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. (Marianne Williamson, A Return to Love) So stand fast and make him rise to the challenge. If he is right for you, he will. If he demands that you act other than yourself, then he is only going to bring you down, Queen. Its unfortunate for us all that we dont have more examples of long-term committed relationships now-a-days. When we begin to see more brothas take the lead as examples of strong men, we as a family unit will inevitably strengthen in turn; because these brothas, through how they treat their Queens, will show their daughters (and many of us women) how we need and deserve to be treated, and thus well truly understand what we should be looking for in a man. And those of us who choose those good brothas will set the standards for the kind of man who is to be accepted into our fold. A wise woman chooses a powerful man who she willingly follows, because

she understands that he is the best knower and will only lead her in the RIGHT direction. When we collectively stop accepting users, abusers, blood suckers, liars, cheaters and thieves as our so-called kings, we will show and prove our own worth, and what we are collectively deserving of in our men as Mothers of Civilization. And that man who shows and proves to be the true and living God will provide us with the stability, protection, completion and ultimately love deserving of a true and living Earth and this will in turn elevate the Universal Black family to our proper status Kings and Queens of the Universe, FATHERS and Mothers of civilization; man woman and child walking the righteous path uniformly on the daily. But it goes back to the foundation first knowledge get to know yourself so that you can discern between what you NEED and what you WANT in a partner (choosing necessity over desire). And get to KNOW your prospective mates before FALLING into love love should be grown into as we grow into understanding. With knowledge you wont fall for the bitter nothings whispered in your ear by those who come falsely in the name of Allah. We must be aware of how we view, treat and carry ourselves the energy we project outwardly is the energy that will be returned upon us. Love self first, and that great man will come who will teach us how to love others and allow ourselves to be loved in return.

SCIENCE OF EVERYTHING IN LIFE

CAN YOU DRAW IT UP?
Written by Earthiasia Weather simply means the condition of the air on earth at any one given time. There are many different dynamics that affect the weather. Now a days we have meteorologist that make weather predictions for us. However if we become aware of the subtle differences in the atmosphere we will be able to rely on our own predictions. Everyone young and old should familiarize themselves with the water cycle. The sun heats up the water that is on the surface of the earth. As this water ascends it cools and the droplets form clouds. Eventually this water becomes to heavy and falls back to the earth in drops of water, ice, sleet, or snow depending on the temperature of the air at that given time. Then we have air masses. An air mass is a large body of air that has similar temperature and moisture properties throughout. The best source or regions for air masses are large flat areas where air can be stagnant long enough to take on the characteristics of the surface below. The boundary that forms between two air masses is called a front. A cold front forms when a cold air mass move into a warm air mass. The cold air contract becomes more dense and thus heavier than the warm air. These forces the cold air will push underneath the warm air. Cumulus clouds and thunderstorms may be scattered around cold fronts. As a cold front passes the wind changes direction and the temperature usually drops. A warm front occurs when a warm air mass moves into a cold air mass. This may cause either rain or snow. When this passes the air pressure rises and so does the temperature. With this type of front you may see cirrus or stratus clouds. A pressure system is a region of the Earths Atmosphere where air pressure is unusually high or low. High and low pressures develop and dissipate constantly due to thermodynamic interactions of temperature differentials in the atmosphere and water in oceans, lakes and other bodies of water. High pressure systems are associated with clear, cool weather. Around highpressure systems, winds flow clockwise in the northern hemisphere, counterclockwise in the southern hemisphere. Low pressure systems often become junctures of fronts. Some of history's most powerful storms and all tropical cyclones have been low-pressure cyclonic systems. Tornadoes invariantly have very strong local lowpressure systems at their vortices. Being that we

know that no mystery causes all this to happen, it should not be a mystery how these systems work. Before we had the weather channel we had practical knowledge that was used so that we could predict our own weather. There is an old rhyme that saysRed sky at night, sailor's delight; Red sky in the morning Sailor's take warring. If you see a red sky during sunset (when you're looking to the west), this usually means that there is a high pressure system and the air is dry. This air stirs up dust particles, causing the sky to look red. Since fronts and jet streams typically move from west to east the dry air is heading towards you. You must also be able to detect which direction the wind is blowing. If the wind is not strong enough and you cant immediately tell wind's direction, you can throw a small piece of grass in to the air and watch its descent. If the wind is blowing from the east this can means a storm is approaching, westerly winds mean the opposite. Strong winds indicate high pressure differences, which can be a sign of advancing storm fronts. Watching the clouds can also be helpful. Clouds that travel in a different directions (e.g. one layer going west, another layer going north) is an indicator that bad weather is coming, possibly hail. Cumulonimbus clouds early in the day and developing throughout the day means a greater chance of severe weather. Observing animals is also a good indicator to predict weather changes. Animals are more likely to feel the change in air pressure than humans. If birds are flying high in the sky, there will probably be fair weather. (Falling air pressure caused by an imminent storm causes discomfort in birds' ears, so they fly low to alleviate it. Large numbers of birds roosting on power lines indicates swiftly falling air pressure. Low pressure brings rain, and major weather systems usually move from west to east. These are some general signs that can be used as weather indicators. Can you create you own indicators? Predicting the weather is all about recognizing the signs of pressure change in your area. Doing the knowledge to your environment and being able to apply that knowledge to the cipher will allow you to draw things up.

HEALTHY, GOOD

STRONG,

and

water and tea keeps me balanced, eating prepared or processed foods can lead to binge eating which can in turn cause depression, and cooking dishes with whole grains consisting of soluble fiber and fresh vegetables provides the necessary nutrients to maintain a properly functioning human body system. And I am not saying that it's not healthy to eat meat universally (beef, chicken, turkey, big game, crustaceans, fish, etc). There are meat eaters who are infinitely more health conscious and physically fit than many vegetarians I've crossed paths with. That's because they know that if you do eat meat you should eat low on the food chain (the more meat or scavenging products your meat eats, the poorer that creature is for you because you are, after all, what you eat). Health conscious people and nutritionists also study proper food preparation and food combining, and how to burn the right calories in the right places. Although, studies do show that diets high in fatty meats makes its consumers prone to high cholesterol, hypertension, heart disease and diabetes. To truly eat to live we have got to become aware of the various rates of digestion for red meat, poultry and vegetation, the fat content in these foods, and the levels of sodium within them as well. Fasting AND colon cleansing gives your body a chance to purge itself of toxic build up and decaying food. Though, you have to be careful to do it right, otherwise you may experience rapid weight gain. The less we eat, the more our bodies store the food we intake once we do, because infrequent eating slows the metabolism. Although there must be a balance between how often one eats and the portion sizes they intake. After coming off a fast, I suggest eating light snacks (dried or fresh fruits, nuts, and salad) every few hours, for at least 3 days to build your metabolism back up (exercising in the process... brisk walking, jogging, running, pilates and yoga - this is my routine) before delving into hearty meals. One important aspect of health and nutrition I rarely see vegetarians mention is food combining. Because as a vegan/vegetarian you have to take care to ensure you get the necessary intake of calcium, B-vitamins, omega-3's, iron, folic acid and more, we have to be aware of what nutrients cancel others out. For instance, some foods need acidic enzymes to digest while others need alkaline enzymes (eat the wrong combo and the enzymes are neutralized leading to poor digestion), fats and proteins cancel each other, just as taking iron with calcium will negate its properties though taking iron with vitamin c will enhance absorption. Zinc, some may not know, depletes your copper reserves (so you'd want to

My Personal Guide To A Healthy Way of Life *with a nutritional diet & exercise* Written by Eboni Joy Asiatic I have been a vegetarian for 16 years (was one on and off from 88 to 92, before being successful with the lifestyle); also, vegan on and off throughout that 16 year time frame. My personal observation, on a metaphysical level, is that the less animal by-product I intake the more serene I feel, the more control I have of my temperament, the less my thoughts turn to food, and the more productive I become in my accomplishments. A major physiological reason a vegan diet has beneficial to my health is that it enables me to breathe better, without the mucus build up caused by dairy products, this gives me more energy throughout the day. Also, it makes sweets (generally prepared with eggs and milk) less accessible, so you eat considerably fewer sweets, sugar not only being fattening, but also promotes yeast infections in women and hyperactivity in children. People on a meat-free diet also become less prone to parasites, and you are literally lighter without all the decaying meat built-up in your colon. On the physical tip, I am simply in better condition when my diet is in tune with what I know to be the right foods, because I control what goes in (and even how often it comes out). Since I maintain such a strict diet, I am always acutely aware of my general health - how much exercise I am getting (or not), what processed foods I have been eating and how often, what kind of beverages am I drinking (soda, juice, water, tea, etc) and I am very conscious of how this sustenance affects my body, mentality/emotions, performance, and behavior. Exercise boosts my energy and enhances my mental state, eating large amounts of pasta make me feel lethargic, drinking soda gives me indigestion, drinking excessive amounts of juice can cause an imbalance in my pH (alkalinity and acidity) whereas drinking primarily

take a zinc supplement with copper added to it). Food and supplement combining is an important topic in discussing health and nutrition, especially in regards to a vegan/vegetarian diet. Of course, we do not want to neglect exercising our muscles and bones. Exercise increases endurance, energy and stamina, as well as bone density and circulation. It can improve breathing, increases flexibility of joints, tendons and ligaments. It reduces stress and anxiety, which can lead to treatment of depression, it stabilizes our metabolism, and when I exercise on a regular basis my nighttime rest becomes much more regulated. With regular exercise we are less likely to fall victim to illnesses like heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, and more. Combining cardio with strength training is a great way to improve your physical conditioning. Choosing exercises you enjoy doing, or exercising with a support group, will guarantee consistency with your routine. For my cardio routine I alternate fast-paced walking with quick bursts of running then slowing down to a jog and eventually fast-paced walking again. I also swim when able, and practice a 30-45 minute Pilates/dance blend workout video when I cant get out of the house due to time constraints or weather restrictions. For strength training, I also do Pilates, lift weights, and do a 15-minute yoga routine every morning (and on good days, at night as well). Having been vegetarian for 16 years, it is true to say that I was a relatively unhealthy one for the first six of those years, with a diet made primarily of starches, fried foods and sugars. In addition, when we convert to vegetarianism we often crave the texture of meat and begin eating soy based meat alternatives texturized vegetable protein (tvp), wheat gluten, tofu, seitan, etc. These products go through a rigorous process to be converted from a simple soybean into a meat-like creation. By the time they reach our grocery store shelves and freezers they are no longer natural products of our Earth any more than refined sugar is, they are a food creation. And processed foods all inevitably have higher chemical components, are more difficult to digest, generally higher in sodium, and have fewer nutrients (unless artificially fortified with them) than simply eating fruits and vegetation naturally grown from our Earth. These dietary habits are of no benefit to anyone and is as harmful as being a strict carnivore or sugarholic. Of course, my suggestions and advice are strictly speaking from experience, and according to what I have learned through independent study based on my own health conditions and those that run in my family. So I suggest you evaluate your own health and

study, learn and manifest the refined dietary laws beneficial to you as an individual. Written By Victorious Lanasia Earth Peace. As long as I can remember, I have been anemic. I actually found this out the hard way after visiting the doctor because I had episodes of passing out randomly. Because I was so overweight, I never really worried about what I ate or managing it properly because I ate everything and had no knowledge of myself or knowledge of how to eat to live and take care of my body. Even though I am not perfect at it, it has taken me years, months, and days to get to where I am now. Unfortunately, although I had worked so hard to lose weight and strive for better health, I had still neglected my anemia along the way. A couple of months ago, I ended up in the ER. To be honest, I had never really known what anemia really was until after going through this experience. I had gone to my doctor for routine bloodwork and my hemoglobin level had come back less than half of the levels it should be. I was instructed to get to the ER immediately because apparently, this had been the case for almost a year and no one had told me before. Over the two days I was in the hospital, they had taken xrays, CT scans, ultrasounds, bloodwork, etc to strive and discover why my iron was dangerously low. After ruling out all other avenues, it was determined that I had a severe iron deficiency that I would have to manage properly or risk lifethreatening consequences. I know there are other sisters out there in my situation. It may not be as bad as my case, or it could be worse. The best thing to is to KNOW what your levels are and if you need to bring them up, so do timely and properly. Because I had waited so long the damage has been done. I have to have IV iron shots biweekly, and take prescription iron three times a day, in addition to managing a high-iron diet. After doing this for just the couple of months, I have dramatically increased my iron levels, and feel better and better each day. So, I wanted to share some information with you so that you too, can know your status and take necessary steps if you have to. ANEMIA is a condition in which blood lacks adequate healthy red blood cells, which carry oxygen to tissues. Oxygenated blood gives your body energy and your skin a healthy color. Our bodies need the element iron make hemoglobin, a substance in red blood cells that enables them to carry oxygen. If your body is not able to produce hemoglobin, we can suffer various symptoms.

SYMPTOMS include extreme fatigue, pale skin, weakness, shortness of breath, headache, lightheadedness, and often cold hands and feet. Iron deficiency anemia symptoms also may include: Inflammation or soreness of your tongue Brittle nails Unusual cravings for non-nutritive substances, such as ice, dirt or pure starch Poor appetite One symptom that I personally still have is restless leg syndrome sometimes if I sit in one place too long or have my leg bent a certain way, it feels like something is crawling up them and I have to move my leg to rid the feeling. It was interesting to learn that one of every five people are anemic, and most of those are women. Therefore, it is really important that if you are anemic, that you are managing it the best way you can. If you are not anemic, you can prevent it by making sure to include iron in your diet. You can help prevent iron deficiency anemia by eating foods rich in iron, as part of a balanced diet. Eating plenty of iron-containing foods is particularly important for you if you are menstruating or pregnant. I also take extra vitamin C to aid in the absorption of iron. Based on your personal lifestyle (vegetarian, vegan, etc) you would modify this list, however here are some foods that Ive incorporated into my diet to boost my iron intake:
- Breakfast cereals such as Total, Raisin Bran, Muesli - Dried fruit such as raisins, figs, prunes, apricots, peaches, dates - Nuts such as almonds, walnuts, Brazil nuts, cashews, hazelnuts, peanut butter - Seeds such as sesame, sunflower, pumpkin - Wholemeal bread, wholemeal flour, wheatgerm, wheatbran - Soy beans, soy flour, tofu - Eggs - Dark, leafy green vegetables such as spinach, watercress Black strap molasses (tip from Wisdom Understanding) - Pulses and beans - e.g. lentils, chickpeas (including hummus), baked beans, butter beans, pinto beans, lima beans, red kidney beans, haricot beans, peas

In closing, lets keep our best part preserved in the best way we can. I have committed myself to doing better, and I will the same for you. PEACE

DID YOU KNOW?

York of the Lewis and Clark Expedition
Sci-Honor Devotion and El Adon Sallah Im sure youve heard of Lewis and Clark, but have you ever heard of York? The Lewis and Clark Expedition was ordered by Thomas Jefferson in the year 1804. The goal was to explore the Louisiana Territory. They were told to take notes describing what they Statue of York on the saw, such as birds, trees, Riverfront Plaza/Belvedere in fish, and the Native Louisville, Kentucky American tribes that they came into contact with. The whole point of the trip was to be able to take the land of the Native Americans so that Europeans could have more land. Im sure you know that Sacagawea, her baby and her French husband were apart of the journey but did you know that a Black man named York went with them too? York was Clarks slave. He had been his slave since they were children. We dont know how old York was because he was a slave and didnt get a birth certificate when he was born. The Clark family had ten children and 20 slaves. They grew tobacco and vegetables on their plantation. Since York was Clarks personal servant, they had become friendly, so, he was allowed to live in the house with Clark and did not live where the other slaves lived. At that time, Virginia had a law that slaves were not allowed to learn to read. In 1785, when the Clark family moved to they Ohio River Valley, Yorks job was to protect them while they built their homes and got set up. So, they taught York how to use a gun, which was something that slaves were also not supposed to learn. York met a woman from a nearby plantation that he married. We dont know her name or if they had children because there were no records kept of slave marriages and births. Clark had met Lewis when they were both serving in the Army. In 1803, he got a letter from Lewis asking Clark to help lead the Expedition. Clark agreed and made York come along. York couldnt refuse because he was a slave. Slaves were also not allowed to volunteer. The Lewis and Clark Expedition was called, The Corps of Discovery.

About 4 dozen men went on the expedition and they took weapons, food, clothing and materials to trade with the Natives. Lewis usually went hunting and out to collect leaves, plants and observe the land and study the wildlife. Clark usually stayed on the boat and read the compass, estimated distances and drew maps. Usually, they kept notes in their journals. At one point, the Europeans met some unfriendly Natives that they called Teton Sioux Indians. York barely got any rest because he had to protect the camp. The Arikara, Mandon and Hidatsa Natives were interested in York because he was a strong, black man and they used black paint before they fought in wars. Clark once had York dance for the Mandon and Hidatsas who were Native American tribes. I think he used York as entertainment so that it would be easier for the Native Americans to be friendly to them and the Europeans could get what they wanted from the Native Americans. On November 24, 1805, York was included in a vote regarding the trip. This was recorded and is significant because a slave usually never had a say and slaves were not free until 60 years later. As time went on and as they got deeper into the land, the trip got harder. They had to kill bison for food and clothing, cross strong rivers, go through sickness, deal with wild animal attacks, protect the camp from Native Americans who were not welcoming, make it through the winter, avoid waterfalls, and so much more. They had been gone from home for 3 years and everyone thought they were dead. They werent dead because they had York who was able to help them with all of their issues. Without York, they wouldve not been successful. They wouldve been hungry, helpless, cold, tired, beaten and eventually killed by Native Americans.

When they returned home, the men of the expedition were rewarded with many acres of land, but guess what, York got none because he was still a slave. When York got home, he wanted to see his wife. He asked Clark for permission but Clark didnt let him at first. Then he agreed. He told him to go for 10 weeks. York went and stayed for months. When he got back Clark was angry. His journal said, I gave him a severe trouching. We know what that means. Soon after, Clark let York go and gave him a wagon and some horses to start a business. This was nice but who was going to do business with a slave even if he was now a free black man?

Eventually, it is said that York decided to go back to Clark but on his way, he died of Cholera. In 2001, York was given the title of Honorary Sergeant by President Clinton. He also has some islands named after him called, Yorks Islands for the group of Missouri River islands in Broadwater County and a river named after him called Yorks Dry River. It was named that because it had very little water in it. He was the first African-American recorded to cross the U.S. from coast to coast.

Did you know... Written by 17 Zafirah Streptozotocin and Alloxan are chemicals used to cause diabetes in laboratory rats. They both work by destroying the B cells in the pancreas that are responsible for the production of insulin. Streptozotocin is produced by a soil microbe and can enter the cell using a protein on the cell surface that usually transports glucose. Alloxan is synthetically produced by the reaction of 2 acids. It works on the pancreas by similar methods as streptozotocin. It has been debated whether or not it can cause type 2 diabetes in humans as it is contained in white flour (used as a bleaching agent). The industry argues that if alloxan caused diabetes, there would be many more Americans with diabetes--and there is a significant amount of "african-americans" with diabetes. The counter-argument is that alloxan is most harmful to those that have a susceptibility to type 2 diabetes like those with a family history, like me and my daughter. There is also some evidence that alloxan interacts with aspartame, a sugar substitute, to cause more damage to the major organs of the body. While there is a scientific debate on the harmfulness of white flour with alloxan, it would be fairly easy to decrease you and your family's intake of white flour and replace it with other unbleached flours like garbanzo bean, amaranth, oat, and whole wheat flours. POLITICS
Barack Obama: Can We? Written By Eboni Joy Asiatic It has been widely reported this year that Black women are more involved in this years political process more than we have ever been before. Because of the primary election battle between Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, the power was in our hands in selecting the Democratic nominee. The great debate was would we vote race or would we vote gender. I would prefer to surmise that we voted based on the issues at hand, and will continue in that vein when casting our ballot on th November 4 . As Senator Obama is no longer the only African American on the presidential ballot. Former U.S. Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney is running for President as well, and her running mate is a fellow Black woman of Puerto Rican descent, Rosa Clemente. Personally, I am torn. Now that Rosa Clemente has become the Green Party nominee for the vice presidency, the McKinney-Clemente team is beginning to resonate more with me than Obamas does even though I have been a staunch supporter of his since he entered the Senate. Although, in choosing which candidate to vote for we have to keep in mind their all-out purpose Obamas is to become President of the United States; McKinneys is to garner 5% of the popular vote in order establish the Green Partys permanent presence on presidential ballots in all 50 states, also to secure government funding for future Green Party campaigns. My shift in McKinney and Clementes direction is my respect for the Green Partys platform (I am certainly no democrat) and their foundation in grassroots organizing, their socio-political community endeavors, and the fact that they labor with the people, in addition to working for the people. Also, they are not afraid to voice their concerns about the destitute means by which Black people and so-called Latinos live in the inner city, and institute plans to solve problems that are race specific. So in writing this article, I had to take a long hard look at how greatly Obamas platform

will effect positive change in my life and within my community; and what issues he is addressing that affect the Black community directly. Obviously, being that he is a Black man, Senator Obama is going to be stringently watched by white Americans, especially the political right, to see if he plays into favoritism for the Black community. With his denouncement of his former pastor, Reverend Jeremiah Wright, and announcing that he will not institute programs strictly for inner city schools, but will support programs that are geared toward education reform for all public schools (which would still leave inner city schools disproportionately lacking in funding, books, supplies, and well-trained teachers) he is already walking the line between holding the highest executive office in the country and at the same time, being the most powerful voice in Black America. His actions and decision making thus far already reveals that he knows he is being watched closely for hints of parochialism in his platform and speeches, and this allots him less room to maneuver and invest in causes that directly affect Black people in America and impoverished urban communities. So the question remains, are issues and problems that pertain strictly to us as Black people in America being critically addressed, and how effective will Obamas various plans for educational, economic, homeowner protection, energy and environmental, military, and healthcare reform be at solving the problems? Issues historically and culturally regarded as urban problems include illiteracy due to education disparity gaps, poor healthcare and incompetent hospital staff, corrupt local politicians, violence and violent crimes, unemployment, alcoholism and drug abuse, mental health and depression, transportation (the need for extended public transportation hours and more bus route stops, pothole, road construction and needed expressway expansion), housing foreclosures, limited subsidized housing opportunities, gentrification in historically Black neighborhoods, disproportionate rates of incarceration of Black men (including Latinos), homelessness, poverty, police profiling and their negligent killings of unarmed Black people, and lack of Black people in executive positions in government and corporate America. All of these things affect our communities at disproportionate levels, as opposed to every other racial or ethnic group in this country.

Education Senator Obamas plan to improve literacy is focused on starting young. His Zero to Five plan emphasizes early care and education for infants, nurturing more childrens preparedness upon entering kindergarten. He also strives to create Early Learning Challenge Grants to promote zero to five efforts state-to-state, while quadrupling Early Head Start funding which will inevitably improve the quality of the education provided. My mother is a high school guidance counselor, and she and her colleagues have voiced harsh criticism for Bushs No Child Left Behind Act since its implementation. Saying that it focuses more on testing, memorization and regurgitation, rather than functional education, retaining of knowledge, supporting the sciences, along with fostering creativity and an interest in world issues. Obamas proposed reform of NCLB would include improving the assessment tests used to determine student progress so that it measures readiness for college and the workplace, and improves the students ability to learn in an auspicious, yet individualized manner. He also intends on creating an accountability system that will support schools in need of improvement rather than closing them. Now, the problem with maintaining the NCLB Act, rather than disbanding it altogether, is that inequality in schools is based not only on lack of preparedness, but the quality and number of textbooks available, the dilapidated condition of the school and its grounds, and the geographic and economical divide. NCLB, whether reformed or not, does not appear to provide an equal opportunity for success because it does not address the financial needs of schools, neglects the recruitment and retention of teachers, and ignores the pedagogical knowledge and skills required to produce highly qualified teachers. (http://glenninstitute.osu.edu/washington/Gregor ySchultz.htm One of the bright points of Obamas plan to improve education is his focus on making math and science courses a national priority by recruiting math and science degree graduates into the teaching field, and allow them to receive onthe-job training by teaching professionals. This will aid in creating a stronger math and science curriculum throughout elementary and high school. There has been a dropout crisis since I was in high school 15 years ago, and Obama believes that by passing legislation that provides funding to school districts specifically for the purpose of

investing those funds into intervention programs like individualized academic plans, teaching teams, increasing parent involvement, mentoring, intensive reading and math instruction and tutoring and an extended learning time would help improve students scores, give them a stronger support base, and thus, with growth and encouragement, motivate them to stay in school. Doubling funding for the federal after school st Century Learning Centers program, the 21 program, to serve two million children rather than one million is another step towards depleting dropout rates. Obamas Step Up program addresses the achievement gap by supporting summer learning opportunities for disadvantaged youth through partnerships between local schools and community organizations. Supporting college outreach programs such as Gear Up, Trio, and Upward Bound also serve to improve grades and attendance, as well s guide children toward an interest in higher education and college preparedness. In regards to the teacher situation, Obama actualizes that he can recruit teachers by establishing new Teacher Service Scholarships to aid with funding for undergraduate or graduate degrees. He wants to implement a program requiring all schools of education to be accredited, and desires to create a Teacher Residency Program that will provide 30,000 newly trained teachers to schools in communities where the need is greatest. In order to retain the teachers we already have, the Senator plans to expand mentoring programs that pair veteran teachers with those fresh out of college, he is also promoting incentives that give teachers paid collective planning time so that they can collaborate with their colleagues and exchange ideas on methods and curriculum that work. How adept will he be at attaining these goals, and how effective will these changes be? Only time will tell. Thus far, Senator, Obama has helped create the state of Illinoiss Early Learning Council, which works to make college more affordable, by getting legislation passed to improve upon the Higher Education Act, and he was able to increase the maximum Pell Grant award to $5,100. Economics Making the connection between economic disparity and low college enrollment, Obama is striving to create the American Opportunity Tax Credit, aimed to make college affordable for all Americans. This would ensure that the first $4,000 of a college education is free of charge for

most Americans, and aims to cover two-thirds the cost of tuition at most public colleges or universities, and in addition, make community college tuition completely free for most students. Obama is also presenting his Making Work Pay Tax Cut for working class American citizens, who are experiencing financial discourse due to rising health care, education and energy costs. While the Bush administration has continued to provide tax cuts and tax breaks to Americas wealthiest citizens, offering lower-income families only moderate relief with the Earned Income Tax Credit, Obama wants to provide a tax credit of up to $500 per person, or $1,000 per household. This offsets the payroll tax on employees first earned $8,100 of the year, but still continues to pay allotments into Social Security. This tax credit completely eliminates income taxes for 10 million of Americas lowest paid citizens and unfortunately, this population is disproportionately us, the original man, woman and child. Making Work Pay also provides relief to self-employed small business owners struggling to pay payroll taxes for themselves and their employees. And since original people are said to be becoming more self-sufficient as independent contractors and small business owners, this tax cut would help to ensure greater success in our business ventures. To further improve the economic situation of those on the lower end of the economic scale, Obama is seeking to raise minimum wage above what it is scheduled to rise to in 2009, which is $7.25 an hour. Since its realized that $7.25 an hour is still less than what employees earned in 1968, after calculating inflation into the equation, Obama wants to increase minimum to reflect the ever-rising costs of living. In addition, Obama wants to expand the Earned Income Tax Credits reach, increasing the number of working parents eligible for EITC benefits, and raising the benefit allowed parents who pay child support, and reducing the EITC marriage penalty, which hurts two parent households financially, and also discourages marriage. Under this plan, fulltime minimum wage workers would receive more than three times the benefit they get today; and parents paying child support would receive $1,110. Other means by which the Senator intends on aiding American citizens economically, especially those in the low-income bracket is by allowing low-income families to receive up to 50% credit for their childcare expenses; provide low-income elders existing on social security alone with an immediate one time $250 supplement check, extend unemployment benefits for those who are

still out of work once they have exhausted their current eligibility, invest in clean energy and the manufacturing of eco-friendly goods creating 5 million new jobs in the green industry, establish a Credit Card Bill of Rights to protect consumers against increasing interest rates, and reform bankruptcy laws to ban bonuses received by executives of bankrupt companies and require disclosure of all pension investments. Obama also seeks to create an automatic workplace pension that would automatically enroll employees into a direct-deposit IRA account, and because, when an employee changes jobs their savings is automatically rolled over into their new employers system, experts say that this program will increase savings among low and middleincome workers from 15% to approximately 80%. Homeowner Protection Almost two years ago, Barack Obama introduced a bill to fight against predatory lending and punish fraudulent lenders. His current plan to protect homeownership is to penalize predatory lenders, using their monetary penalties to assist the families they have connived into signing a loan or refinancing their mortgages at rates that they cannot afford to pay; he wants to give a tax credit to struggling homeowners that would cover 10% of their interest payments on their mortgage each year; and create $10 billion in bonds that would help middle class families purchase their first homes or avoid foreclosure on an existing house. Also, Obama seeks to mandate accurate loan disclosure to ensure that consumers understand their loan agreements. Obama also wants the Senate Banking Committee to create a new Federal Housing Administration program that provides incentives for buying or refinancing existing mortgages, and turning them into 30-year fixed mortgages. This will reduce the outstanding number of unpaid mortgages that are unaffordable. He is also encouraging mortgage companies and lenders to take action before the homeowner is so far behind in payments their property faces foreclosure. If lenders write down the principal of mortgages, then the homeowner can continue paying their mortgage and they wont abandon their home to foreclosure, which causes property values of their neighborhood to drop, destroys the familys credit, indebts the lender, and just makes the housing crisis worse all around. Another manner in which Obama will help homeowners is by creating a 10% universal mortgage credit that offers tax relief to families, regardless of economic status. Currently, only the wealthy are benefiting from homeownership tax

relief because they itemize their taxes, and those in the lower and middle-income bracket often do not. One of the most beneficial plans Obama has to limit home foreclosure is the establishment of the Foreclosure Prevention Fund it helps families renegotiate their home loan or sell their home before foreclosure. The fund specifically helps families in need because there are stipulations that prevent upper-income homeowners who have vacation houses, also people who misrepresent their income, from profiting from the Fund. Energy and the Environment In addition to working to create 5 million new jobs by investing $150 billion over the next 10 years to ensure a more sustainable means of living in the future, Obama wants to put one million plug-in hybrid cars, which get up to 150 miles per gallon, on the road by 2015, in turn creating a new $7,000 tax credit for those who purchase ecofriendly vehicles. However, lets not forget that those who purchase these vehicles are almost always in the upper economic bracket. Obamas plan is also to ensure that 10% of our electricity comes from renewable sources by 2012, and 25% by 2025, in part by weatherizing homes (sealing cracks with weather strips and caulk, insulating attics and walls, repairing or replacing windows and doors, and having your heating/cooling system examined) weatherization helps reduce the energy used to heat and cool your home which in turn lowers emissions and saves money. Senator Obama also has a plan to establish new national low carbon fuel standards which would help to reduce these greenhouse gas emissions by 80% by 2050. Obama idealizes that Americans can become less dependant on foreign oil primarily that from the Middle East and Venezuela. However, to do this he would need to support offshore drilling, when he initially said he did not. Offshore drilling is drilling for oil in the ocean floors, and if an accident occurs while doing this only a maximum of 15% of the oil can be cleaned out of our oceans creating pollution that endangers and kills marine life, which in turn is harmful to humans who eat fish and other seafood. Unfortunately, if a spill under 1,000 barrels occurs it does not have to be reported federally. The Gulf Coast Environmental Defenses Offshore Drilling Primer stated that offshore drilling machinery produces pollution on a regular basis "in the form of drilling muds and cuttings, produced waters, workover fluids, deck drainage, air emissions from the rig machinery and support vessels, as well as large amounts of trash."

The Iraq War We all know that young men and women from lower-income backgrounds tend to be the frontline fighters in war. That is why the Iraq War affects us, because of the number of young Black men and women who are fighting over there when the majority of them did not join the military to see action or prove their patriotism, but to receive money for college or save themselves from gang life and impoverished communities. Since it began in 2002, more than 4,000 American troops have been killed in Iraq, more than 60,000 wounded, and we are quickly approaching the $2.7 trillion dollar spending mark. To emphasize the seriousness of this dollar amount, upon returning from a conference on the state of the AIDS epidemic a few months ago, my employer a doctor with the CDC specializing in communicable diseases said sadly that with the amount of money we have spent on the Iraq War we could have saved the lives of the entire population infected with HIV in Africa three times over. She continued by revealing to me that her colleagues are hypothesizing that, in time, AIDS may kill off the entire population of Africa. And this woman is no conspiracy theorist, these are scientists and researchers who primarily white Americans are revealing this information amongst their inner circle however, I surely didnt hear about it in the news. In regards to Iraq, despite improved security measures and the reduction of insurgents, the Iraq government has still not claimed control of the political climate nor solidified the implementation of a democratic state. Obama, who opposed the Iraq War from day one, wants to remove American troops from Iraq one to two brigades a month, which would bring most of them home within a 16-month period (summer of 2010). Under Obamas plan, however, a residual force will stay in the region conducting counter-terrorism missions and to protect American diplomatic and civilian personnel. He also wants to continue efforts to train and support the Iraqi security forces as the government continues to achieve political reconciliation and democracy. In other words, he is not intending to remove all U.S. troops after all, and he still supports the policing of foreign countries. A benefit to his plan, as it relates to original people abroad, is the fact that he wants to confront Iraqs humanitarian crisis as there are over five million Iraqi refugees in bordering countries or displaced in their own country. Obama intends on forming an international work

group, providing them with $2 billion, to expand humanitarian efforts geared toward helping Iraqi refuges rebuild at home or find sanctuary abroad. Universal Healthcare Without a doubt, the most debated issue during the presidential primary election was the development of a universal healthcare system. 47 million Americans, including 9 million children, do not have health coverage. According to health insurance www.BarackObama.com, premiums have risen four times faster than wages over the past 6 years, and only 4 cents of every dollar is spent on prevention of diseases and epidemics, whereas the rest of the money is spent on treatment (hint - not cures). Obamas proposed healthcare plan would be eligible to everyone, regardless of pre-existing health conditions, it will include all comprehensive benefits including prevention, pre and post-natal care and treatment of mental health disorders as well. He insists that premiums will be affordable by even those who work full-time minimum wage jobs, and will offer payment subsidies for lowincome families who earn too much to qualify for Medicaid, but not enough to afford the full benefits package without assistance. One of the primary benefits of Obamas plan is that when people change jobs their healthcare rolls over with them without any unwanted changes to their existing plan. The Senators plan will provide health coverage to all children, and will expand the age at which young adults can be covered under their parents plan to 25 years of age. This healthcare plan will support disease management programs, implement coordinated team care for those suffering chronic diseases who have to be treated at more than one hospital or clinic, or by more than one specialist. It will also force health plans to reveal how much of patient costs pays for their care and how much goes to administrative costs this will regulate health insurance fraud and increasing premiums. Another aspect of Obamas plan is to invest in electronic systems that maintain health information, and increase competition in the insurance and pharmaceutical markets this will lower and regulate healthcare costs as well. Derrick Ashong, a young brotha who is a musician and Harvard graduate, in an interview that took place outside of an Obama vs. Clinton debate in Hollywood, explains why he supports Obama and his healthcare plan, saying Obamas plan, as it relates to the employer, gives business tax incentives to [encourage] their supporting employees medical insurance and gives

employees the opportunity to choose whether or not they want to participate. He adds that there are also many benefits and subsidies offered to employers for opting to participate in this plan, and penalties for those who do not aid and assist their employees with health coverage. Ashong emphasizes a point that resonates with Barack Obama, We have so much secondary healthcare, we dont really have preventative care and this would be an investment in keeping people healthy in the first place rather than treating incurable ailments. Social Ills Permeating the Black Community Many believe that Obamas platform does not address issues that are categorically considered to be Black issues. However he has ideas that he wants to implement in regards to strengthening fatherhood and families as the lack of fathers in the household relates to him directly because he was raised by a single mother. According to the number of www.BarackObama.com, American children without fathers in their lives has quadrupled from six million to more than 24 million since 1960. Statistics say that these fatherless children are five times more likely to live in poverty and commit crime, nine times more likely to drop out of school, and 20 times more likely to end up in prison. Senator Obamas reintroduction of the Responsible Fatherhood and Healthy Families Act is geared toward removing government penalties on married families because they promote family division, being that the majority of government welfare assistance goes only to single mothers rather than two parent households. The Act also exacts harsher penalties on men who avoid paying child support. Unfortunately, this penalty is a double-edged sword, because although it is geared toward acquiring financial assistance for single mothers, it tends to leave fathers in even more dire situations often freezing their bank accounts, suspending their drivers licenses and worst of all, jailing them (and we know that the jails are already unreasonably filled with Black men yet another reason why fathers are not present in the home at extraordinary numbers what a vicious cycle). The best part is that the Act ensures that child support payments go directly to the family in need and not to government agencies; it also funds support services for fathers and families, and establishes domestic violence prevention programs. A unique program that Senator Obama is expanding is the Nurse-Family Partnership program that offers in-home care to first-time expectant mothers in poverty. The nurse not only provides the expectant mother with a check-up,

she counsels the family on substance abuse, creating and achieving personal goals, and effective methods of nurturing children. (www.BarackObama.org) Programs like this have been proven to better the expectant mothers prenatal health, reduce injuries and accidents suffered by the child(ren), lessen unplanned pregnancies, broaden the fathers involvement in his childrens lives, increase womens employment rate, end the familys dependency on welfare and food stamps, and increase the childrens school preparedness. Researchers at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis stated conclusively that these programs produced an average of five dollars in savings for every dollar invested and produced more than $28,000 in net savings for every high-risk family enrolled in the program. With the actualization of Obamas plan, an estimated 570,000 first-time at-risk mothers would be assisted every year. And we all know that a Nation can rise no higher than its woman. In addition to family strengthening programs, Obama has outlined an agenda for civil rights and criminal justice in an effort to refocus the Justice Departments concentration on hate crimes, the banning of racial profiling by federal lawenforcement agencies, and reforming mandatory minimum sentences (which disproportionately affect Black men, especially those convicted on crack-cocaine charges). (The New York Times. Is Obama the End of Black Politics?) It is clear and evident that Obamas platform does indeed focus on issues affecting our communities. It may not be reported in the news, he may even slyly cover-up the fact to ease the worries of his white constituents, but the facts are that Obamas platform does indeed support the betterment of Black families, the strengthening of our economic base, the improvement of our school systems (even if only slightly), the establishment of healthcare for all, deterring violent crimes, lessening the unemployment rate, providing care for mental health disorders, reworking homeowner protection plans, and even disallowing police profiling, brutality, negligent homicides and disproportionate imprisonment of original men. Of all the social ills listed in the first section of this article as relating directly to Black people in America, Obama and his advisors are obviously considering our well-being as a community and collective, even as he attempts to walk the line between Black community leader and representative of the Commonwealth of these United States of America.

To be a successful United States executive and still remain loyal to his voters and support base, Obama is going to have to master equality and figure out how to be both a spokesman for the community and a legislator for a country whose population is still majority white. He will also have to devise a plan of action for bridging the divide between the ever-increasing middle-class Black family and the millions left behind in poverty. As he, by race and gender alone, represents the most at-risk population in this country Black boys, young Black men. As Black men [are] incarcerated at more than six times the rate of white men, black joblessness [is] more than twice as high as the rate for white Americans. (The New York Times. Is Obama the End of Black Politics?) As mothers of young Black boys, sisters and Queens to Black men, I imagine that our support will go to that candidate who was once a Black boy himself, and therefore had to face, cope with, confront and solve the same obstacles and problems our sons will have standing in their paths to greatness.

Cynthia McKinney and Rosa Clemente: Two Black Women On the Road to the White House (or are they)
Written By Eboni Joy Asiatic

Cynthia McKinney, a former six-term United States Congresswoman from Atlanta, Georgia, was officially declared, December 16, 2007, the Green Party nominee for President of the United States. Rosa Clemente, a South Bronx native settled in Chicago for years, is a community organizer, independent journalist, and Hip-Hop and political activist, was named Cynthia McKinneys running mate and the Green Party nominee for Vice President of the United States on July 9, 2008. For those who do not know, the Green Party is an independent, non-corporate funded political organization seeking to become a viable thirdparty along side the Democratic and Republican parties in every election. The Green Party has often been thought of as an alternative for people who are disenchanted with blue and red scheming politics, corporate pandering, media

manipulations, and flat out lies. Now, as Rosa Clemente put it, the Green party is no longer an alternative, it is an imperative. Senator Obamas political platform is Change you can believe in, which implicates (among other things) the proverbial changing of the guard moving from old-school, racially motivated politics, to politics that are focused more on economic structure and giving to the poor rather than the rich, regardless of race. While MCKinney and Clemente both consider themselves to be representatives of the hip hop generation, and have been community activists in getting urban youth more politically aware and registered to vote, they have claimed the moniker Power to the People as their platform. Which is fitting with the Green Partys initiatives for political reform, grassroots democracy (making local, state and government officials accountable to the voters who elected them), social justice and equality (exterminating racism, class oppression, sexism, homophobia, ageism, and disability), ecological wisdom (move toward an energy efficient economy grounded in sustainable living with respect to preserving the integrity of our ecosystem), non-violence (eliminating weapons of mass destruction, enacting more gun control laws, eradicating police victimization), decentralization (restructuring our educational, economic, military and justice systems to benefit the all rather than the wealthy few), community based economics (encourage employee ownership and workplace democracy), feminism and gender equity, respect for diversity (value ethnic, cultural, racial, sexual, religious and spiritual diversity and promote the development of respectful relationships along these lines), personal and global responsibility (encourage improvement of personal well-being that coincides with enhancing ecological balance and social harmony), and future focus and sustainability (make quality of life the focus rather than open-ended economic growth). The Green Party goal is not necessarily to win the presidency, but to secure five percent of the popular vote. This would secure their position as a third party, meaning its presidential nominees do not have to fight state-by-state to get their name on the ballot, the party will automatically be put on the ballot. While in Congress, McKinney opposed the Iraq War from day one; she was against funding for bloated military and secret intelligence budgets, calling for the reduction of the Pentagons budget, and cancellation of funding for the F-22 Fighter; she is against faith based initiatives and refuses to pander to the Christian right or Jewish Zionists, as she opposed aid to Israel; she introduced Articles

of Impeachment for George Bush, Dick Cheney, and Condoleezza Rice and it is speculated that she lost her 2006 run for re-election because of this; she introduced, championed, and passed in the U.S. House the Arms Trade Code of Conduct, prohibiting the sale of arms to known human rights abusers; McKinney authored legislation to end the use, sale, development, production, testing and export of depleted uranium weapons due to concerns of the health effects of people exposed to it; McKinney passed legislation to extend health benefits for Vietnam War veterans still suffering the health effects from exposure to the defoliant Agent Orange; she challenged Pentagon Secretary Rumsfeld and Chairman Myers of the Joint Chiefs of Staff on the $2.3 trillion missing Pentagon money and on U.S.sponsored war games taking place on September 11, 2001, and also was a commissioner in The Citizens Commission on 9-11 and was among 100 prominent Americans and 40 family members of 9/11 victims who signed the 9/11 Truth Movement Statement calling for new investigations of unexplained happenings during the 9/11 events; McKinney has submitted to Congress the MLK Records Act that would release all currently sealed files concerning the 1968 assassination of Dr. King; she also introduced the Tupac Shakur Records Act that would release sealed documents concerning his death, as she emphasized to Congress, The public has the right to know because he was a well-known figure. There is intense public interest in the life and death of Tupac Shakur. she has introduced legislation to eliminate federal subsidies for corporations outsourcing jobs overseas; has fought against domestic spying on Americans; McKinney also supports environmental issues. Currently, McKinney serves on (a) International Tribunal on Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, (b) Brussels Tribunal on Iraq, (c) is participating in War Crimes prosecutions in Spain, and (d) is working with the Malaysian Peace Organization to criminalize war; she has been an advocate of Hurricane Katrina victims from day one and has remained in a constant battle over legislation to minimize harm to Gulf Coast residents from the toxic releases into the environment caused by the hurricane, and to seek financial justice for the victims as well. Finally, after the tragedy of September 11th, 2001, Cynthia introduced legislation that would allow the survivors of the tragedy's victims to sue those responsible for the attacks as well as participate in the Victims Compensation Fund. She introduced legislation to establish a national living wage and she also introduced legislation to repeal the Military Tribunals Act. Her signature environmental piece of legislation was the National Forest Protection and Restoration Act, which would have provided much-needed jobs

and revenues for the restoration and protection of America's national forests. McKinney successfully authorized the USDA disparity study that demonstrated USDA discrimination against minority farmers. Unlike Cynthia McKinney, who got into politics influenced by her father, Billy McKinney, one of Atlantas first Black law enforcement officers and former Georgia State Representative, Rosa Clemente is a grassroots political enthusiast. She is a graduate of the University of Albany and Cornell University. Her academics have been focused on national liberation struggles in the United States, with a particular interest in The Young Lords Party and the Black Liberation Army. In college, she was President of the Albany State University Black Alliance and Director of Multicultural Affairs for the Student Association. She was also a founding member of La Voz Boriken at Cornell, a socio-political organization fighting for the rights of Puerto Rican political prisoners and freeing Puerto Rico from American bonds as a commonwealth, making it an independent country. In 1995, Clemente founded Know Thyself Productions (KTSP), a full service speakers bureau, a documentary and independent journalistic production company and media consulting firm. KTSP has organized three popular Hip-Hop political awareness and activism tours Dare to Struggle, Dare to Win with M1 of dead prez and Fred Hampton Jr., The ACLU College Freedom Tour with dead prez, DJ Kuttin Kandi, Mystic and Dave Chapelle, and the Speak Truth to Power Tour of youth activists collective. Clemente, in 2001, was a youth representative at the UN World Conference against Xenophobia, Racism and Related Intolerance in South Africa; and in 2003 Clemente was a major coordinator of st the 3000-strong, 1 Hip Hop Political Convention, brought to life in order to create a national political agenda for the Hip-Hop generation. Clemente traveled to New Orleans as an independent journalist 10 days after Hurricane Katrina struck, bringing, in the words of Davy D, Hip-Hop historian, a heart-wrenching eye opening account of whats really going on She talks about the smell of death in the air and how things are much worse than we could ever imagine. Most recently, Clemente was named as the Executive Director of the Hip Hop Caucus, and she recently created the Latina Womens Political Network. The benefit in bringing both Cynthia McKinney and Rosa Clemente together is to spark a Blackled mass movement for peace and fundamental social change said Clemente, and by garnering

the five percent vote needed to establish the Green Party on all state ballots in the future, making it viable competition for Democratic and Republican nominees, the Green Party becomes a grassroots led vehicle working around the clock for change. Clemente exclaims in her nomination acceptance speech that I am just a vessel, a representative of the work of an entire generation, and the Hip-Hop radical activist movement. She and McKinneys Power to the People platform strives to empower voters with the truth of the dirty dealings of our government speaking out on war crimes, torture, police terrorism, mass media manipulation, structural racism, institutional racism, capitalism, crimes against the African and Indigenous Diaspora, and prejudiced judicial system. And with two Black women running for President and Vice President on the same ticket, their bid for the white house is going to turn this country right-side-up again said McKinney at the Green Party National Convention in Chicago this mid-July. The McKinney-Clemente message being evoked is one of struggle and labor, putting in work to problem solve, not hoping on blind faith. Their bid is about taking control of our destinies as American citizens and human beings existing in a world in peril and their race for the white house is one that evokes Fredrick Douglasss famous proclamation that without struggle there is no progress.

POETRY CORNER
We Are ONE SOUL by The Unknown Poet The REALITY is... that We are ONE SOUL created from THE ONE SOUL. Although we can live separately, we are never really complete until we truly join together. Although our natures are somewhat different it is exactly by that, that we know each other. We should try to find the balance (as our ancestors did), through each other. We must cut down on the unnecessary drama, that divides our hearts and destroys the family. Our purpose is not to compete with each other, but to complete one another... I am talking about the BLACKMAN and the BLACKWOMAN.... The ORIGINAL MAN and the ORIGINAL WOMAN. It is about time that we understand just how important we are to each other. We have tried so hard to fall in lust with each other... To look good for each other... And sometimes we even fight each other for the favors of our enslavers. Somehow, along the way, we forgot how to talk to one another How to build with each other And how to defend the TRUTH amongst ourselves. History has shown us that the legacy of slavery has broken the union of us. A lot of us lack the skills to bring about the reunion of us. As the SUN,MOON and STARS are the lights of heaven... The MAN, WOMAN and CHILD should be the lights of the planet earth.

The family is the essential building block of civilization. In the case of man and woman there is no better... we are both better. If we all knew how much we really needed each other... We would meditate and work real hard everyday to heal each other. As up needs down to know its name the original human must know the same. The family to the community is like a cell to the body. If there are not enough good cells... the body dies. If there are not enough good families the community dies. If there are not enough Good Men... the Women Remain LoveLess. If there are not enough Good Women... the men remain HopeLess. SO, without HOPE and without LOVE there is no REAL LIFE. There will be No Real Life in Our Community until There is a RE-UNION of the ORIGINAL MAN and the ORIGINAL WOMAN RESPECT is the KEY, PEACE is the WAY And LOVE is the DIVINE REWARD in this WORLD and the NEXT. Be BLESSED !

"Pearl in Peril (The Food Shortage in Haiti)"
Written by Shaheed Reality Allah

Haiti is a beautiful country with beautiful Original men, women, and children. Haiti or Ayiti which is the name that was given to the island by the Taino Arawak Original People meaning Land of Mountains or Mountainous Land is in a dire state of existence. This country, which has a rich, glorious history and culture is now the poorest country (economically) in the western hemisphere. Haiti is the only country in the western hemisphere to execute a successful slave revolt, in the years 1791-1804 the Haitian Revolution took place, and as a result established her as the first Black Republic to declare its independence and the first country in the western hemisphere to abolish slavery. Haiti is now faced with another struggle, the food shortage that is adversely affecting the nations citizens. Haiti is located on the island of Hispaniola , with neighboring country Dominican Republic . Haiti shares in the plight of other Original Countries (the African Diaspora) worldwide. This is the

worlds largest food crisis since the 1970s. Countries such as Peru , Morocco , Mauritania , Egypt and Indonesia have broken out in riots due to the dramatic rise in the cost of food. In Haiti the average family income (over 78%) is reportedly less than two dollars a day, with over half of that 78% living on less than one dollar a day. In the past year the price increase in dietary items such as rice, beans and fruit have increased as much as 50%. A bag of rice in Haiti costs as much as $200.00?!?! There are a few key contributing factors to this food crisis in Haiti . Lets go back and get to the causes of the effects. One of the main factors to the food shortage in Haiti is the reality that the U.S. and other international financial bodies practically destroyed the Haitian rice farmers to create a major market for the greatly subsidized rice from U.S. farmers. This plays a vital factor in the cause of many poor countries. See, in 1986 after the expulsion of the then leader/dictator Jean Baby Doc Duvalier, the IMF which is the International Monetary Fund, loaned Haiti 24.6 million dollars. Though there was a catch, Haiti would only get the money on a contingency that put them at a great vulnerability and disadvantage. She ( Haiti ) slept with the enemy (greedy white folks) and brought forth a seed of poverty and destitution. The catch was that Haiti was required to reduce tariff protections for Haitian rice and other agricultural products, and some industries were forced to open up the countrys markets to competition from outside countries. Eventually this put the Haitian farmers out of business, and local production went down, way down. Hmmm, does that sound familiar? Well, the devil (wicked system of white supremacy) has done something of this nature everywhere he went into contact with Original People. To add on, in 94, as a stipulation for its assistance in returning Jean Bertrand Aristide to Haiti to continue his elected presidency, he was forced by the U.S (United Snakes), IMF, and World Bank to further open up the market in Haiti . This practically crippled Haiti . Ive seen picture albums from my Old Dad of Haiti prior to this period, and the devil has bitten! The U.S Agency for International Development reports that the annual per capita income is less than 400 dollars. Other sources and reports have stated the same. With all of this Haiti is still one of the biggest (number three) importers of rice from the U.S. , as the U.S. Department of Agriculture shows that 240,000 metric tons of rice has been imported in the year 2008. The closing of schools in areas such as Petion -Ville in Port Au Prince, and low life-expectancy (average of 52 years), further compounds the problems.

Haiti was once self sufficient in its resources and now we are in a food crisis. The Pearl of the Caribbean has been robbed through unscrupulous leaders and corrupt foreign government systems. This is of concern to every Original Person as what happens abroad to us can happen at home here to us. We are not different, we are of the same Asiatic Black Family. Everyone should edify themselves on global matters involving us, the Original People, and see how and in what way we can positively add on nothing is too small or insignificant and this ( Haiti ) is a Pearl that we all as Original People possess. With Love, I say Peace

GREEN EARTH
Reducing Your Ecological Footprint
Written By Eboni Joy Asiatic

An Ecological Footprint (sometimes referred to as an Environmental Footprint) is a comparison between our human consumption of natural resources along with our waste production, to the planet Earths ability to dissolve our waste and regenerate those used resources. Answering a chain of questions about your daily lifestyle helps to determine a rough estimate of how much of the planets resources your lifestyle requires, and how much land it takes to sustain you. The questions asked to calculate your Ecological Footprint focus on driving habits, shopping habits, food eaten and its source, trash generation, whether you rent or own a home, the energy sources you use, how often you walk, ride a bike or use public transportation for travel, how often you fly, your usage of disposable goods like aluminum cooking pans, paper or Styrofoam plates and plastic wear, plastic wrap, plastic bags and aluminum foil, your usage of disposable diapers, and the many other ways in which we use and consume. It is estimated that 4.5 acres of fertile soil are available for every human being on the planet. In the United States the average Footprint is 24 acres. If everyone in the world lived like the average American citizen, we would need 5 1/3 planets to sustain humanity. Obviously, we do not have enough resources to maintain the standard at which we are currently living. That is why ecologists and environmentalists are now so focused on getting wealthier countries with higher qualities of life to refine the way in which they live

and become more involved in adapting sustainable living practices into their lives, using renewable energy sources, and minimizing their consumption. Measuring supply and demand globally for all of humanitys goods and services is how our Ecologicall Footprint is determined. Ecological Footprint analysis calculates the biologically productive land and marine area required to produce the resources we consume and in turn absorb the corresponding waste. All the aspects of our lives considered in the analysis (listed above) are converted into global hectares (ghas). In regards to a country or continent, Footprint analysis can determine which nations use the most resources and which resources are most in danger of razing. Scientists can also see which nations consume less and then configure a manner in which their lifestyles can be assimilated into other cultures. For instance, the U.S. Footprint per capita was 9.6 gha, whereas Chinas was 1.6 gha per person. This tells us the Chinese have minimalist ways of living that U.S. citizens would do well to adapt into their way of life. Ideally, we want to take the information gained from the Ecological Footprint and individually implement changes in our behavioral patterns that would allow for us to be more sustainable in our manner of living. The number of Ecological Footprint practitioners around the world is steadily increasing, with this, standards have been put into practice to help minimize confusing points in the calculation; for instance, how sea area should be counted, or how to account for fossil fuels versus nuclear power. Another example, yields from organic farming are less than those from conventional agriculturalists, however, technically, the organic farms Footprint is larger even though organic food production is considered to be less harmful to the environment. So the Global Footprint Network instituted a (www.footprintnetwork.org) consensus, committee-based process in which standards are being put to practice so that the Footprint can produce credible, consistent, and comparable results worldwide. Go to http://www.ecofoot.org to calculate your Ecological Footprint. And once you have learned how much of the planets resources you are consuming and how much waste you are producing, consider the following ways by which you can reduce your Footprint and conserve biodiversity: Take public transportation, ride a bike or walk instead of driving when possible.

Generate less garbage by recycling paper, plastics, cardboard, glass and aluminum. Recycle unwanted items either curbside, buy disposing of them at your local recycling center, taking them to a thrift store, or holding a garage sale. Use recycled goods like toilet paper, paper towels, and facial tissue; and buy products that come in recycled, recyclable packaging. Buying in bulk also helps reduce packaging. Do not throw out electronic items. Keep cell phones, computers and other electronics for as long as possible, and when they have run their course donate them or recycle them responsibly. Electronic waste contains mercury and other toxins and is an ever-increasing environmental problem. Use non-toxic cleaning supplies or make your own. The basic ingredients are baking soda, vinegar, lemon and biodegradable castile soap. This saves money, gas, packaging, increases your indoor air quality, and most importantly they are not fatal to your children if ingested. Buy clothes made with natural fabrics (cotton, linen) to reduce the toxins emitted from factories and the production of artificial materials. Dry clean less, or not at all, this saves money and cuts down on toxic chemical usage. Buy organic produce its better for you and the environment because there are no pesticides used on them. And buy grocery items that are locally produced to reduce the energy, gas and emissions exerted to transport outsourced goods. Buying locally also helps promote the local economy. Purchase energy efficient/compact fluorescent light bulbs, and turn off electric switches and appliances when they are not in use. Set your thermostat at 66 degrees in the winter and 80 degrees in the summer. This greatly reduces carbon emissions and saves on your heating and cooling costs. Unplug appliances when youre not using them, or buy a smart power strip that senses when appliances are off and cuts whats commonly referred to as phantom or vampire energy use. Unplug cell phone and computer cords even when they are not attached to the appliance. If you own your own home and appliances, consider switching to renewable energy sources like solar panels and windmills. Purchase appliances with the energy

saver emblem, replace an electric stove with a gas one, and use an on-demand water heater. These alternate energy sources and energy efficient appliances also save you money on your utility bills. Washing clothes in cold water can reduce your washing machine energy usage by 85 percent. Also, use a drying rack or clothesline to save energy otherwise used for the clothes dryer. If you must dry your clothes, use dryer balls, they help cut drying time. Shorter showers help conserve water, as does using the dishwasher only when it is full and on the economy setting. If you have a newer brand energy saving dishwasher, it will always be more economical to use it rather than hand washing dishes. If you must, wash dishes by hand only once a day without leaving the water running. Turning the water off while brushing teeth helps too. Some extremists even elect only to flush their toilets when theyve had a bowel movement. A low-flow showerhead doesnt cost much and the water and energy saved by using it makes it a wise investment. Faucet aerators are another inexpensive appliance that conserves heat and water, while keeping water pressure high. Use a water filter to purify tap water instead of buying bottled water which is much more expensive in the long run and generates large amounts of container waste. Carry reusable water bottles that are preferable glass, aluminum or grade 5 and up plastic (the higher the grade of plastic the fewer toxins seep out of the plastic and into your water check the grade in the triangle on the bottom of your bottle). Purchase items that are environmentally friendly with minimal packaging; and avoid buying products that you dont use or will be easily broken and discarded. Reuse gift bags, gift-wrapping paper, ribbons, boxes, etc. Recycle what you dont reuse. American consumers produce excess waste during the holiday season more than any other time of year. Reuse your plastic or paper grocery bags, or buy reusable cloth or mesh bags. Keep them in your car or handbag so that you have them on you when you need them. Reusing empty containers, shopping at thrift stores and consignment shops, and finding creative ways to bring new life to old belongings supports the Indigenous (American Indian) tradition of making use

of every bit of a resources that has been taken from the Earth.

More extreme lifestyle changes may include: Living in a smaller home, or become part of a communal living household. Switch to slow combustion or natural gas heaters. Firewood collection lends to the destruction of animals natural habitats and reduces oxygen production thus decreasing our air quality. Make your property wildlife friendly by providing logs and rocks as shelter for smaller animals, and plant local native plants to provide food for them as well. Our consumption of natural resources is destroying the natural habitat of animals all around us; we have to remember that the Earth is their home planet too. Become a vegetarian; raising livestock and foul and maintaining dairy farms takes considerably more energy than producing plant based foods and products. If you must eat meat buy that which is raised cruelty free, cage free and is organically fed. Non-genetically modified foods are much healthier for you and your family. Eat low on the food chain when it comes to seafood. Fly less; commercial airplanes are a huge source of carbon emissions that are damaging the ozone layer and polluting the air. Keep more plants in your home and grow a garden; it helps stimulate good air quality and allows you to reduce consumption by growing your own vegetation. Consider alternatives to chemical pest controls in your garden and use them sparingly. Use water barrels to collect rainwater, and use this as a source for watering your garden and lawn. Contact your local elected representatives to get more areas protected for nature conservation. Also, encourage them to increase spending on sidewalks and bike lanes. Ask them to set-up an electronic recycling and hazardous waste collection center.

Regardless of how minute your changes in lifestyle may seem, in order to reduce your Ecological Footprint, it will make a difference. And the more we encourage others to refine their way of life by reducing consumption, the wider our scope of change for the betterment of us all and future generation will be.

So, for my street (Lenox Avenue) recycling is picked up two Wednesdays a month throughout the year. Currently, we have a trash room that is a large room located in the basement of the building. It currently contained about 6 large trash cans that we use to throw our trash out. It would be quite easy to add 2 paper and 2 plastic recycling bins that could accumulate enough for the bimonthly pickup. LOCATION: East Orange, NJ BUILDING TYPE: Apartment 24 units MANAGED BY: ASB Management

The Work at Home Cipher
By Victorious Lanasia Earth After the birth of my young queen, I realized very quickly the true meaning of making and owning. With the rise of the price of basic living expenses, these economic times can cause even the craftiest budgeter to cringe when bills are due, the gas tank is on E, and children need to be clothed, housed, and fed. When Nyaa turned 6 months old, I found myself struggling to make ends meet when her Father was laid off. A friend of mine put me on to a company that hired work at Home agents and I thought since I had a home office, it may be something I could put to use and earn some extra money. I got two contracts with two work at home companies and had a total of 6 accounts working as a Customer Service Agent. I worked a total of 15-25 hours a week and earned $600- $800 a month just from this part-time work. I had always been turned off by work at home opportunities because I thought they were all scams. You know the ones where you sent $29.99 for a kit or something like that. Well, the fact is, these days telecommuting is becoming more and more common for many reputable companies such as JetBlue, Dell, Toys R Us, and QVC. The most important thing to keep in mind is that you should NEVER have to send money in response to a job. Really do the knowledge to any and all opportunities you come across. I will give some tips and some reputable companies that you apply to. MAKING THE DECISION TO WORK FROM HOME

GOAL: To initialize a pilot recycling program at Building 50 for 6 months; then adopting the final process of recycling at buildings 30 and 40. This process would include rallying residents to buy into the recycling program and its benefits to the environment; encourage them to participate by supplying recycling bins and reminder posters; and creating incentives for residents who successfully recycle. Secondarily, strive to begin a green campaign with residents who wanted to take this a step further and implement further environmentally conscious habits in their home such as using

Working from home can be extremely beneficial for stay at home Mothers/Fathers, if you need a second job, or just want to make extra money, however there is a different level of commitment that comes with this type of employment that is a little different from a position where you would punch in and out each day. Responsibility Usually, in this type of cipher, you will not have a supervisor breathing down your neck to make sure you do your job. In most cases, you can create your own schedule but you must adhere to it, and in some cases, you can lose your contract if you miss shifts, leave early repeatedly, or log in late. So, although you may have the benefit of working on your own, you also do not have the luxury of being able to explain being late, or why you need to leave early. Your work is calculated by your production only. Integrity Many employers will require applicants to take a screening test prior to an interview. These screener tests are usually designed to find out your level of responsibility, integrity, and dedication to working in an environment like this. If you are one that is always trying to get over, this is probably not the type of job for you. Patience Deciding to start working from home is somewhat like starting your own business. First, you will have to apply to about 20-30 different companies (depending on the specific field you want to work in) and sometimes will wait 3-6 months to even hear back from them. This time of the year is actually the best time to apply because the holidays are right around the corner and many companies will hire extra agents for the increased activity. Secondly, you may not make that much money just from one account. I had 6 accounts with two different companies. So, as you build your contracts, you will find that you can, within 6 months to a year from starting, make a decent living working from home. Aural Professionalism The luxury of sitting in your pajamas on a Saturday morning taking customer calls from home also requires the skill of having a professional phone voice. This includes proper diction, inflection, and tone of voice. It means not munching on veggie puffs when a customer calls in, or having Ne-Yo blasting in the background. In general, when you are working, act and do as you would if you were in an office.

There are various types of work at home opportunities telephone and/or email customer service agents, mystery shoppers, virtual assistants, web writers, and survey takers. These are not all of the legitimate opportunities out there, but these are the ones I would recommend. There are several basics that every work at home environment should have to be successful. Your computer should be Computer set-up: relatively new, with at least Windows XP. Unfortunately most work at home companies do not support MAC Operating Systems. It should also have broadband internet service (DSL or Cable), anti-virus, and a firewall. Again, Many companies will require your computer to go through certain checks before it will approve your computer to be used. In addition, you also want to make sure you have a printer. Some companies may require you to have a webcam if you are applying to be a virtual assistant. Landline telephone service: Most positions require you to have a true landline phone (Verizon, bellsouth), however more companies are allowing service such as what you would get with your cable service or Vonage type phone that uses your internet. The important thing is to make sure you either have a 2nd dedicated line strictly for your business, or that you shut off all features (call waiting, voicemail, etc) before you start your shift. Again, most companies will verify this prior to approving you as an agent. In addition, make sure you have a headset with a mute button and noise cancelling features. Office furniture: Besides a desk, the next most important thing to have is a comfortable office chair. There is nothing worse than sitting somewhere for 2 or more hours in discomfort.

GETTING STARTED Its not hard to get started. Once you have the knowledge and wisdom of setting up first your mindset, then your physical-set, the rest is just putting yourself out there, get your skills in order and making it happen. There are a few other things to keep in mind when looking at your situation, what you are looking for, and the types of work at home opportunities out there. First, keep in mind there are different types of ways to make money: as an employee, as a contractor, and per service. If you get a job with a company as an employee, usually you will not be allowed to work for another company in the same line of business. You will usually be on a set schedule, or a rotating

YOUR

schedule, and will earn a set salary or hourly rate. In some cases, you may also be eligible for the usual employee benefits such as healthcare, vacation/sick days, etc. Getting a contract means that you are only contracted with that company for the account(s) you are trained for. You will usually earn your money per minute that you are actually on a call, you can sign up for as many or few hours as you want, however you will not be eligible for any employee benefits, and your contract can be terminated at any time for any reason. This is a good option for someone who needs the flexibility and either has another job or another means of benefits. The per service option is usually the way you earn money if you are a mystery shopper, survey taker, blogger, web writer, or other positions like that. This means that you usually earn money once the service has been fulfilled. Below, is a list of reputable companies that contract or hire employees to work from home. FROM THE FATHERS OF CIVILIZATION

You Understand It? Well Dress Like It!
By Original Author Allah What is refinement? In one word it means improvement. To improve on any given thing is to SEE something that is lacking and change that which is less than (impurities/error) to the mathematical equation of GREATER than. Yet, why is it that so many sisters who have embraced Allah's Mathematics are looking EQUAL to their sisters who have no knowledge of this culture? What are you improving if youre still equal to the reflection of the broken Blackwoman? The Blackwoman of the last 500 years has been hardly seen as a Queen, and for the majority of the last 30 yrs or so she been seen mainly as a bitch. The Blackwoman is Original, yet she is no longer viewed by the world with original EYES. She is no longer seen as the home of peace, but the home of the Black AND white mans sexual desires. If I were to look at the solar system, I would see NOTHING that resembles the Earth. That means, the one who has received Gods understanding stands out. I hate to say this, but the woman who has knowledge of self, in many ways, NEEDS to be taken on face value. At least the refinement can offer the picture of not some regular sister and she can be 'approached differently'. When a sister is dressed in refinement the Blackman sees her as a Blackwoman who has more square mileage to cover. If a sister is dress scantily she has less ground for the man to cover. Sister, when you are seen by the world would you want to be seen as something that requires a few steps up a 4 foot ladder to get to, or would you prefer a brother have to work as hard as climbing something as high as Mount Everest to claim? The atmosphere is symbolic to the Mind of the Earth because its the atmosphere that protects her from everything that is not conducive to its growth within the universe (society). If the atmosphere (mind of the Earth) just allowed any old thing to settle on the planets surface, then its life (culture) would be even more chaotic. Meteors hit the planet's surface everyday, yet its through the atmosphere that they are burned up and basically destroyed before they can cause damage. I see it the same way as with the Blackwomans mind being the atmosphere; she is hit with all types of wisdom (meteors) that can damage her body if she does not use her mind to protect her from that harmful wisdom. If she cant

protect herself from that harmful wisdom, it begins to settle on and change the circumference. The Fact the there are clouds in the sky shows that the Earths 'thoughts' are elevated and are above the 'times', yet influences the times by remaining elevated and Improving her body through her elevated (refined) wisdom by raining back down on her body (soil) to refine it. The Earth refines itself through the rotation of truth. The terrific speed of the Earth is only achieved through refinement. Does the Earth Rotate at that speed because of the times or because of the truth? Just because she is dressed in refinement, does not mean she is sincere to this culture. But guess what? In this equation, IMAGE is everything. I hate to say this, but the woman who has knowledge of self in many ways NEEDS to be taken on face value. At least the refinement offers the picture that she is not some regular sister and she should be 'approached differently. For the brothers of this nation there is really no dress code other than to be neat and clean. A brother speaking Mathematics in a suit or jeans has basically the same effect. With sisters its MUCH different. You cant put a woman in front of a crowd and expect her to speak on the Blackwoman improving herself when her bra, boobs and crack of her ass is showing. What do you think is going to get the most attention her words or her way of carrying herself? I have noticed that a lot of Blackwomen are taken advantage of because of what they expose (show) to the world. Man usually conquers land thats EASY. Remember, the average person cant get to the top of Mt. Everest. If you are dedicated to seeing the mountain at its glory you have to be SINCERE or you wont make it. It takes much to get to that point of elevation. It should be the same way for what the Blackwoman presents to the Blackman. Her hills and valleys should be a challenge for the sincere not just any ol' person. The cipher of the Earth, mentally and physically is 3/4ths. In the equation of that, it starts with UNDERSTANDING. I have noticed that sisters are against dressing in 3/4ths because many feel it is outdated and is not with the times. How can being seen as unique be outdated? Also I have seen that they have the 'sexy' pin stuck inside their head. What is sexy? Everything thats associated with sexy, to me, is usually sluttish. Look at the word; its rooted in the word 'sex'. What desires do you want to be seen with? What 'head' are you trying to appeal to? The word sexy has been elevated above beautiful in this day and time. A woman wants to be seen as sexy, because she knows what broken brothers

are attracted to. She must either still want the attention of 85er men, or her God loves the 'look' of 85er women and has never stressed the fact of her improving her circumference. Many sisters feel they have no value unless they can be seen as sexy. Its the only way they, they feel, that they will get a mans attention and therefore feel wanted. Once again, what kind of man do you want to see you, and what kind of man do you want to want you? Would you want a Brother who does not want you to improve beyond the average? Can you truly call yourself the Earth if you did not grow beyond the average? When a Sister is sincere to her 3/4ths, that means her understanding takes her culture farther. It allows her mentally and physically to be at her best and not a part of the rest. Going farther than the 'average' is not having the mind of a Queen and the dress code of Beyonce. There is always the argument of sisters saying well "I am 3/4ths in the mind so thats all that matters. I see that as a cop out ALL DAY. Would you think of veganism all day, but then eat pork sandwiches and say you are in TUNE with your UNDERSTANDING of what a vegan is? Understanding adds on to the truth, it does not stagnate it. The woman who has NO knowledge of herself has gone 'far' in this world she has her corporate jobs, her millions, her NBA and NFL drug pushing brothers chasing her and buying her gifts. Are sisters saying that they cant step out side the devils lifestyle and achieve love peace and happiness without still looking like a woman with no Mathematic culture? Do these women have to still hold on to weaker thoughts and actions to feel good? If thats the case, why did you pick up Mathematics in the first place? I have seen Earths on the street and on myspace where I can see the skin (mileage) on thighs and the cleavage of their breasts and the shapes of the hills and mountains, but if Beyonce and all these other sisters show the world that, how do we determine who is the woman reflecting God? How does God pick her out if He is looking at her? It does not add up. If a brother who said he was Allah came down the block in spandex, a tank top and tube socks to his knees with sandals on, he would be looked at as suspect regardless of what he knew, and thats just real. Image means a lot with this cipher. You say you have Knowledge, well Knowledge the times then, the thoughts of the world, and see why you must show differently. We teach this culture to those who are Ignorant, to show DIFFERENTLY. If a God was on the block with 85ers slinging the same poison as them, what difference is he showing them? Wisdom has to be put in its proper place or its all OVER the place. Then people start

making it seem like because of what they know, anything they do now, reflects righteousness. Culture is molded through understanding. The more the Planet Earth became in tune and began to SPEED (refine) up, the more life (culture) it produced and the more VALUE it had within the Universe. The Earth improved itself by covering up (ensuring that she was covered by more water than land). Remember, the Earth was a naked (ball of Lava) when she was a BABY. When she hit 1037 1/3 she was a woman and COVERED UP. A terrific speed shows us a SPECFIC way of life. If the Earth literally moved at a different speed on its axis, and its rotation around the sun, the Culture on Earth would be DIFFERENT. If you expose your hills and mountains and at the same time say you are the Earth, the light you 'see', what kind of light is it the sun (great blackman) or a distant star (immature man)?" Blackwoman, are you reflecting the Sun or a candle?

Could You Be Eating Frankenfood?

Written by Earthiasia If you are the least bit health conscience or pay attention to the news at all you have probably heard about GMO or GE foods For those who havent been paying attention this information is really vital for you. GMO means genetically modified organism and GE stands for genetically engineered food. Genetically engineering a food is done by direct manipulation of a plants genes which is a real fancy word for grafting. By taking the gene of a desired plant, animal, bacteria or virus and placing it in the food that I being modified to achieve a specific trait. There are five basic steps that must be done in order to genetically engineer something. First scientist have to isolate the gene of interest that carries the desired trait. Some of the methods of isolation include Marker Assisted Selection Because most cells subjected to gene implantation techniques fail to incorporate the foreign gene, a large number must be used, and a marker must be attached to the foreign gene in order to identify the cells that have taken it up. Next these genes have to be transferred to a vector which is just a medium that is used to transfer genes Some of these vectors can include plasmid which is extrachromosomal DNA molecule separate from the chromosomal DNA which is capable of replicating independently of the chromosomal DNA. Viral vectors, and non-prokaryotic a ones such as liposome. Then the vector is placed into the organism that is to be modified. Then transformation takes place and the new organism begins to transform or take on the characteristics of the new desired genes or you can say that mutation takes place. Lastly the organisms that have been successfully modified are separated from the ones that didnt make that successful transformation. It is this process that makes Genetic engineering different from traditional breeding a method that has been used for thousands of years. With traditional or conventional breeding which is done by taking two organisms that had a desired trait and than crossing them. This method relies mostly on homologous recombination. Which occurs naturally during meiosis when the parent chromosome come together and exchange information. The dramatic difference between these two techniques makes the GE food very dangerous. In 1982 the FDA approved the first genetically engineered drug which was a synthetic form of human insulin. This was done by using bacteria that produces a protein that makes

insulin. In 1987 the first test of GE foods were done in the United States. In 1992 the FDA declares that GE foods are "not inherently dangerous" and in the same year GE tomatoes were approved for commercial production. And It was estimated that by 2003, close to 170 million acres of genetically engineered crops would be grown. And currently 25% of farmers use the Monsanto GE variety of corn with numbers expected to rise dramatically. Due to government (FDA) insurance discounts for using this variety of seed. Lets take a closer look at whether GE foods are helpful or harmful. Lets examine what kind of safety test are required for a GE organism to be deemed safe. The Responsibility that the FDA takes is to make sure that the food that in the United Sates is safe. Now any new technology should be adequately tested to be sure that there are no side effects. In spite of this fact the FDA does not require any testing on GE foods. And any testing that is done is on a voluntary basis by the manufacturer, with all critical decisions left to their discretion. Does this make sense that the people who have everything to gain if the food is approved making all of the rules. In addition to this lack of research there was no human feeding study done to see how these foods affected humans. Also the few test that were done showed that rats that were feed GE corn and tomatos had a decrease in their rate of digestion, lesions appeared on their stomach and intestines, and in the light of all of these factors there wasnt any histology that was done to show why and some of the rats died in two weeks with out any explanation. Moreover Cows that were injected with rBGh had rapid increase in birth defects and a shorter life span. Another study showed that Monarch butterfly larvae that was exposed to BT corn pollen and when the pollen, went into the gut of the caterpillar, and it to specific sites. When the toxin from this BT corn binds, the gut wall changes from a protective layer to an open sieve so that pathogens that are usually kept within the gut and excreted are new released into the insect's body. As a result, the caterpillar quickly sickens and dies. The caterpillar didnt even have eat this corn for this to take effect. All that was needed was for the milkweed plant to be exposed to the pollen from the GE plant. The insect that ate the contaminated milkweed had s 44% survival rate. And the ones that did survive had a 60% decrease in weight. Bt corn has been genetically engineered to express the bacterial BT toxin or Bacillus thuringiensis, which is poisonous to pests. The expression of this toxin was achieved by

inserting a gene from the lepidoptera pathogen into the corn genome. This gene codes for a toxin that causes the formation of pores in the larval digestive tract. These pores allow naturally occurring enteric bacteria such as E. coli and Enterobacter to enter the hemocoel where they multiply and cause sepsis. This is an area of concern because since the wide spread use of synthetic pesticides in the 1940 and 1950 pesticides were sprayed on the foods so they could be partially washed off. However with GE foods the pesticides are produced by the foods themselves so there is no way to wash it off. When you introduce foreign genes in to a bacteria or a virus all of the possible outcomes can not be predicted. Some of these non desired outcomes are, increasing peoples sensitivity to allergens because there is now so many chemicals in the foods that we eat. Traditionally when you ate a banana you ate a banana and if you were allergic to bananas you didnt eat them. Now a days when you eat a banana you are also eating thousands of chemicals which could have come from a number of places some of which you may be allergic to. There are actual cases where this as happened, Like in 1996 Brazil nut genes were spliced into soybeans by a company called Pioneer Hi-Bred. there are some people that so allergic to this nut, that if ingested they could go into anaphylactic shock (similar to a severe bee sting reaction) which can cause death. And the worst part is there is no labeling on this type of foods so you will never be aware of what gave you the reaction. Fortunately this product was pulled off the market before any deaths occurred. Next time the consumers may not be so fortunate, and next time is here now. About 25% of Americans have adverse reactions to foods. 8% of children and 2% of adults have food allergies as tested by blood immunoglobins. Also, another risk is that the genes from these grafted foods may jump from the genes in the bacteria and virus to the genes of our gut bacteria. Also the promoters that are used to turn on these different traits in these genes may also may turn on traits in our own genes that were suppose to be dormant or inactive. In despite of these factors there are almost no long-term toxicological, neurological, metabolic, endocrinological, developmental or reproductive studies of the effect these foods. Long term studies are necessary to evaluate the effects of substances which are slow-acting, have cumulative or reproductive effects. There are also environmental consequences that are not fully know. Like the development of superweeds this happens because the genetically modified Bt endotoxin remains in the soil at least 18 months and can be transported to wild plants that will be - resistant to butterfly,

moth, and beetle pests potentially disturbing the balance of nature. The pollen from the genetically engineered plants can travel for miles and can contaminated the soil and insects that have not been targeted. This can have dramatic effect on the balance of nature. Beneficial insects such as bees are dying off and without them the worlds food supply will decrease severely. Now, the very source of life and food for us, THE SEED is under attack. Government regulations that have been put into place have made it illegal to buy seeds of a certain variety. Plants are being genetically produced with no annual replenishing of perennial seeds so farmers will become wholly dependent on the seed provider. Traitor technologies control the stages or life cycles of plants when a plant will leaf, flower, and bear fruit. This forces the farmer to use certain triggering chemicals if he is to yield a harvest - again causing much deeper levels of economic dependence. These technologies are being developed and patented at a furious pace. According to the Garden Organic 95 per cent of the vegetables we eat come from 20 species of plants. 98% of the vegetable varieties have disappeared over the pas century and current regulation are only speeding up this decline. Garden Organic has a seed library of 800 traditional vegetable varieties that ore now outlawed by the European legislation. With the FDA current incentives for farmers that purchase GE seeds the problem only gets worst. Seeds are the very beginning of the food chain. He, who controls the seeds, controls the food supply and thus controls the people." Dominique Guillet, Kokopelli They are clearly gaining this control by controlling what we eat. Studies have shown that when processed and artificially colored foods are removed from childrens diet their behavior improved an example of this is Appleton High School Wisconsin. A study was also done by Oxford University on prison inmates that concluded that an overall rate of violent incidents were reduced by one third when the prisoner diet was improved. The easiest way to avoid GMO foods is to avoid processed foods. And Go organic when ever it is possible because organic food have been grown without the use of pesticides food additives and are processed with few artificial methods, material and conditions including no genetically modified foods. We have to realize is that our market is a consumer driven market. So when we start to protest buy not buying them they will stop selling them. Genetically Engineered foods have also been banned in other counties such as the UK and France. Consumers made themselves aware of the foods that were on the market and demanded that the GE foods be labeled. In other countries if GE foods are not out rightly banned,

then there is mandatory labeling. We already know that our country is run on the almighty dollar, we have to start to use some of our power as consumers. Supply and demand the less we buy the less that is produced. And if it is not labeled non GMO or organic the we have to assume that it is. Here is a list on some of the most commonly GE foods. Corn: corn oil, corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, corn starch, corn meal Soy: soy protein, soy lecithin, soy oil, soy sauce, soy isolates, soy oil Canola: canola oil Cotton: cottonseed oil In addition, the following GE vegetables, crops and plants have been approved for commercial use in the US at the end of 2005 (which was the latest update by January 10, 2007): Alfalfa Tomato Potato Rice Cantaloupe Sugar beet - (all kinds of sugar) Radicchio Flax (linseed) Papaya Squash Oilseed rape, in some cases called Canola oil Wheat.

The Great Black Leaders Plan

One day, Benjamin Banneker, Dr. John Henrik Clark and Allah were having a discussion while they were eating lunch. They were talking about what they were going to teach the youth and 85%ers. Dr. Clark said, Im going to teach 85%ers to take some classes that teach the basics like math, science, and so on. Benjamin said that he would try to teach the youth to do homework almost everyday. Allah said he would teach the youth and 85%ers what knowledge, wisdom, understanding, culture, freedom, power, refinement, equality, god, build and destroy, born and cipher are. Benjamin and Dr. Clark wanted to help Allah because they thought Allahs plan was the best one. The 85%ers and the youth that were taught by them were civilized for the rest of their lives. But the most important thing about Benjamin Banneker, Dr. John Henrik Clark and Allah was proud of, was not their rewards of being great ,black leaders but was that they taught the youth and the 85%ers. Who are You Learning and Laboring for? Written by Sci-Honor Devotion Teen Corner Please do not forget all of the struggles that those who have come before you have experienced so that you can be where you are now. Look at your elders and see what their accomplishments and mistakes were. Im sure your parents and caregivers have stressed the importance of going to school and getting a good education, however did they ever explain to you why this good education was important? If I were to ask you what the purpose of going to school and getting a good education was, Im sure that many of you would say that it is to ensure that you could get a good job in society. Id have to disagree. Everything you learn in school will not be the truth and some of what is the truth may only be part of the truth. So, you have to take the best part and continue your studies outside of school. You will definitely not learn everything that you need to know in school. Knowledge is infinite and we already know that if you go to his schools, you will learn His-Story and not OurStory. You are responsible for making sure that you obtain and teach as much truth as possible whether you are in school or not. If you see something interesting such as construction workers building a structure, do the knowledge. If you see a flock of birds flying in a certain direction, do the knowledge. If you see that there are products being sold in your community that are not sold in other communities, do the knowledge. Be Serious and Be a Good Listener. Good listeners can absorb what a speaker is saying and will be able to respond with intelligent questions and answers. Listen to the stories that your elders tell. You will be able to find many jewels in them. Never be afraid to ask questions! When in Doubt, Check it Out. Reading regularly will put you in a good position in life. Some adults find it difficult to read because it is like a job to them as opposed to a time for leisure or gaining useful knowledge.

Once you learn something, no one can take it away from you. Go to school prepared to learn and with the same determination you have when trying to memorize lyrics to a song or a dance routine. If you have dropped out of school you can either go and get a G.E.D. or start your own business. I would suggest reading the book How to Hustle and Win by Supreme Understanding to help you with getting ideas. Always keeping a pen and paper handy is also a good habit to have. You never know when youll need to jot something down to look into it later, an idea you have, or even song lyrics. The ultimate goal after gaining any knowledge is to use that knowledge for your advancement. Yes, right now as a young adult, you may have to get a part time job after school or on weekends in order to gain experience and make a little spending cash, but what happens after that? Many of us adults have not taught you the true reality of getting a good education because we ourselves may not even know. The truth is, The school system will breed you so that they can use you as a tool and a slave to make and keep their society rich while you labor for pennies. They will keep the truth about who you really are hidden because once the truth is revealed that you have been keeping their business afloat and have the ability to work for yourself, you will run from amongst them, start your own business and leave them dry searching for another young mind to shackle. Knowledge is the foundation upon which we add on. So, how are you going to add on to the knowledge that youve acquired so that you can benefit from your own labor, build in your own society and not make someone else rich? The ultimate goal should be to work for yourself or in partnership with a-alikes. Hey, would you rather work for yourself or work for someone else? Think about it, when you are an adult, how will you be a maker and owner? * Please get your parents permission to check out this video with them and then build about together. All praise is due to Allah. If Barack Obama is elected president it will negatively affect my life in that he will be causing the destruction of so many Black people who follow him in rejecting their salvation which is Islam and the SEPARATION of them from America, which is first on Allah's list for destruction. Barack Obama running for and possibly winning the presidency is just another trick of the devils to distract their slaves from turning to Allah and their Salvation SEPARATION. 2) How do you and your Kingdom/Queendom work to erase or limit your environmental footprint? I recycle and try to eat foods that do not require much packaging like fresh fruits and vegetables and stay away from fast foods and junk food. 3) What conflict abroad greatly affecting original people most concerns you? (examples: Darfur/ethnic cleansing in the Sudan, Haitian food shortage, China's control of Tibet as an autonomous region and the boycott of the Beijing Olympics, etc) The conflict abroad greatly affecting original people that most concerns me is the situation in Darfur, Sudan. It is Black people killing other Black people and that greatly disturbs me. We have been tricked by the devil into believing that we are all different and just because some Black people are Arabs, they think they should kill their Black Brothers who are not Arabs. We have to be re-educated into the knowledge that Black people are the Original People and Owners of the ENTIRE EARTH and we are ALL BROTHERS and SISTERS and should love each other. __________________________________________

As-Salaamu 'Alaikum Dear Sisters, Here are my responses to your most relevant questions: 1) As an Original Woman, how would Obama's being elected president positively or negatively effect your way of life?

Answered by Sincerely Ayzatik Earth of Power Hill (Philly):

1) As an Original Woman, how would Obama's being elected president positively or negatively effect your way of life? As of right now I'm pretty much neutral when it come to Obama, I'm not sure of his motives. Right now he is basically going through the motion of what politicians do, "taxes here... no taxes there", the whole back and forth thing.

2) How do you and your Kingdom/Queendom work to erase or limit your environmental footprint? Daily I strive to erase and limit the stain that I had contributed on the environment by riding public transportation or walking to my destination, Sticking to the vegetarian eating lifestyle, recycling, surrounding my living space with plants, using natural alternative cleaning products, limiting my use of paper products such as plates and cups, and saving energy. ___________________________________

in the MINDS of caucasian people and the world that the Original Family is not only equal to- b.u.t have the potential (dominance) to surpass things as they now stand and have stood here in America. He may be the Tiger Woods of politics, his mental out-look, if produced in the minds of caucasians and the world by Obama, if he makes that "difference", will spark new things mentally, economically, socially etc. Government programs aimed directly at the babies growth, in general, to one day grow up and lead this country, the point is the potential and option (door) will be there.

Answer by Born Allah of Now Justice (New Jersey): 1) As an Original Man, how would Obamas being elected president positively or negatively effect your way of life? In my opinion, Obama being elected as president will have a good and major effect on the original people and how they are viewed by the world as a whole, because Obama knows he represents the Asiatic black family who will be the so-called first Black president of the US that the world will see, and due to the peer pressure and this science hes taking on, he will open the door mentally and physically for the future black babies of the original nation. Mentally due to his strong desire and the strong peer-pressure of having a Black president will cause him to try to make some real changes that are needed and make things happen beyond what all the white presidents that came before him have done, which may show and prove

TELL US HOW YOU SEE IT? (1) There seem to be some conflict within our Nation with adopting Arabic names as opposed to Supreme Math, Alphabet or Lessons. How do you see it? What do you consider to be a righteous, refined diet? How will the Black family benefit or be hindered by the results of the presidential election? Should Earths be required to knowledge 120? Is it ok for them not to?
