For an eternity I have waged war in their names, conquered worlds for their pleasure, and slaughtered billions of souls to slake their thirsts. Yet still I do not ascend to Daemonhood! The Ways of the Gods are mysterious and cruel.........Even to me. Words of Lord Cyrax The Everbound found written in blood on the walls of a defiled Imperial Shrine. circa 9.563.991.M41

The Binding: Cyrax is on the verge of becoming a Daemon Prince, as such he exhibits unusual characteristics. The Binding refers to the Armour of Cyrax that was blessed by the Chaos Gods, but each gave its own gift in contrast to the other gifts. As such depending on which mark Cyrax bears in battle the armour will take on different abilities and handicaps to represent the effects and the conflict of the individual blessings given to him. To decide which Mark of Chaos is ascendant roll a D6 and follow the chart below: 1/6 - Mark of Chaos Undivided 2 - Mark of Khorne 3 - Mark of Slaanesh 4 - Mark of Nurgle 5 - Mark of Tzeentch *Mark of Khorne, grants Cyrax Preferred Enemy rule against all units in close combat, but he also suffers the Rage rule for the rest of the game and must move towards the nearest visible enemy unit. *Mark of Slaanesh, Grants Cyrax use of the Doom Siren sonic weapon as detailed on page: 39 of the Chaos Space Marine Codex, but he also suffers a -1 modifier to his Strength and Weapon Skill for the rest of the game. (Note: Doom Siren is granted along with existing weapons). *Mark of Nurgle, grants Cyrax +2 Toughness and Nurgles Rot ability, but he also suffers a -2 to Weapon Skill and takes no bonuses from charges. *Mark of Tzeentch, grants Cyrax the Psyker ability and 2 psychic powers per turn, but he also suffers a -2 modifier to his Psychic Test rolls for the rest of the game. *Mark of Chaos Undivided, Cyrax is subject to Slow and Purposeful rule for the entire game and at the beginning of each of his players shooting phase must cast Gift of Chaos on himself .. If he rolls a 6 he is then removed as a casualty and replaced with a Chaos Spawn (This counts towards enemies Victory Points if applicable to the scenario being played)
