DETAILS: TOPIC THE TELOMERE THEORY OF AGING PLATFORM SOCIAL NETWORKING FACEBOOK DEMOGRAPHIC TEENS (12-17) PREMISE An educational social website has gone rogue and is secretly spreading a time app that ages innocent facebook profiles. LOGLINE A person logs into facebook and follows a link taking them to agebook an educational social networking website. They read into the telomerase theory of immortality before watching a video explaining the DNA replication process & the telomere theory of aging. After the video an app installs on the persons facebook profile. The app represents time itself, in trying to remove it the app ages the persons facebook profile via its DNA telomere tips. The profile angered owner tries to remove it, aging and eventually killing their facebook profile. TREATMENT A person logs into their facebook profile and begins scouring their public wall when they notice a link from a friend to a site divulging theories on the topic of aging. They click the link to agebook an educational social networking site. When arriving at the site they expand a drop down box which informs them of the telomerase theory of immortality, they then click play on a CG video which explains that a persons facebook profile is built of strands of DNA coding which replicate with the help of an enzyme known as DNA polymerase. The polymerase synthesizes a new strand of DNA by extending the end of an existing nucleotide chain. However, the replicated DNA is less protected then its former thanks to the damage being caused through the replication process on the DNAs protective telomere tips; this causes profiles to breakdown and age like their human counterpart. Having watched the video the person is returned to their profile only to notice that an app has automatically installed on their facebook profile, they look at the apps description which describes the app as time itself and in trying to remove it the person will age their profile indefinitely. The person confused, angrily tries to remove the app, in doing so their profile ages shredding their profiles digital telomeres. With their profiles DNA telomeres gone and the profile deceased the app disappears from the profile, the person then closes facebook only to notice their desktop wallpaper has been changed to agebook. A box appears proclaiming that agebook has been installed on the persons computer. WTF! Welcome to Facebook. THREE ACT STRUCTURE (BASIC)

ACT 1: Welcome to agebook - Website introduction - The telomerase theory of immortality (20 Sec) ACT 2: Inside facebook - CG Digital Profile DNA The DNA replication process & the telomere theory of aging (1 Minute 20 Sec) ACT 3: agebook time app -Time aging profiles - A fictional/practical example of aging (20 Sec) THREE ACT STRUCTURE (DETAILED) ACT 1: A person logs into facebook and notices a link from a friend about aging. The link takes the person to what appears to be a sister site of facebook agebook. The person clicks the box which explains the telomerase theory of immortality; the person then notices a video at the top of the site, after buffering the video fills the screen. ACT 2: The person is taken to a digital realm of electric blue DNA strands. The process of DNA replication is witnessed with DNA polymerase aiding to synthesize a new strand of DNA with the telomere tips never replicating with their former strength. The video disintegrates returning the user directly to their facebook profile with a new unwelcomed guest. An agebook app has installed itself on the persons facebook profile, the person expands the descriptive box which explains that the app is time and in trying to remove it the app will age their profiles telomeres and cause it to degrade physically. ACT 3: The person frustrated clicks to remove the app anyway which results in the profile gradually falling apart. In a burst of anger the person clicks the remove button multiple times, the profile ages quickly and is eventually deceased, the agebook app uninstalls itself. The user closes facebook angry but relieved only to notice that their wallpaper has been changed to agebook, a box then appears stating that it has been installed on the persons computer. STEP OUTLINE ACT 1. INT. INTERNET EXPLORER FACEBOOK LOGIN - NIGHT A person types: www.facebook.com into their internet explorer window, when it loads the person enters their details and logs in. INT. INTERNET EXPLORER FACEBOOK PUBLIC WALL - NIGHT They check their public wall and notice a post from a friend. Intrigued the person clicks the link to the aptly named agebook. INT. INTERNET EXPLORER AGEBOOK MAIN WEBSITE - NIGHT

When arriving on the site the person scours down and decides to read into the subject of immortality, reading into the theory of telomerase. The person then scrolls up the page noticing a play button below a video. The viewer clicks play, the video briefly buffers and then engulfs the screen. ACT 2. INT. INTERNET EXPLORER INSIDE FACEBOOK DIGITAL DNA (CGI VIDEO) - NIGHT The video ventures to an electric blue digital realm deep inside facebook explaining the telomere theory of aging by showing the process of DNA replication through polymerase synthesis. The DNA strands tips (known as telomeres) become the topic of discussion which gradually become more damaged as our cells continue to replicate, causing us to age. The video ends by disintegrating and reverting the viewer back to their facebook profile. INT. INTERNET EXPLORER USER FACEBOOK PROFILE - NIGHT A box suddenly appears congratulating the viewer on installing agebooks official time app which has replaced facebooks new timeline feature. Confused the person clicks to view the details of the app which illustrate that the app is digital time itself, in trying to remove it time will pass for the users profile and their profiles telomeres will degrade ultimately destroying their profile. Angered the person clicks to remove the app. ACT 3. INT. INTERNET EXPLORER USER FACEBOOK PROFILE (DEGRADED) - NIGHT The telomere rating decreases and the persons profile starts falling apart with holes ripping through their profiles DNA strands. In a burst of anger the person clicks to remove the app multiple times which rapidly ages their profile before destroying it outright. INT. INTERNET EXPLORER USER FACEBOOK PROFILE (DESTROYED) - NIGHT With the profile dead the person pauses as the agebook app disappears from their profile. They then close their browser window and revert to the desktop. INT. PERSONAL COMPUTER DESKTOP - NIGHT When they arrive back on their desktop they notice an unauthorised agebook wallpaper has installed a pop up box then appears congratulating them on installing the new desktop agebook solution. WTF! END
