Haunted Grounds Below are various reports and sightings of other worldly beings from various parts of the

world that I have visited. As always, as a Christian I would not advise you to go there especially if you have not yet obeyed Acts 2:38, which gives a person legal authority over all entities. See Mark 16:15-17. These accounts are simply written for your entertainment. Fort Jackson, Georgia On the grounds of Fort Jackson in Savannah Georgia, there have been reported sightings of ghostly apparitions in Confederate War soldiers. Usually it's reported with an eerie feeling. James Adams is a local author who reports that the local site manager saw a figure walk towards him on the parade ground. He thought it was James so called he called out to him. That received no response. Instead the ghostly figure simply disappeared from sight. Another incident took place a few years ago. A new employee saw a figure standing in the corner. She was mopping the floors when a figure in Confederate uniform just stood looking at her. She was so scared at what she had seen, that this brand new employee quit the very next day - she telephoned in her resignation! San Antonio, Texas San Antonio has many reported sightings. The Alamo Street Theatre, which was formerly a church until 1976, after it's closing it has become a hotbed of spirit activity. No ghostly activity was reported until it became a theatre. There have been reports of swirling smoke (probably due to the fact that the entities need heat or energy to formalize - thus in doing so they drop the temperature, and without such matter or energy to assist them they cannot be seen in human form), an actress spirit and a young prankster spirit. The owner of the house Marcia Larsen reported hearing footsteps, noises and seeing lights being turned off and on sporadically. Deb Latham and others, have seen a materialized female spirit in a white dress that dated from the 1930's. It attends rehearsals. Ryan a former director was often visited by this same female spirit. She called out his name many times, and left after only a few months of being there. Nancy Jo is a technician and has often felt a spirit around her along with having her back become very cold to the touch. That is despite the fact that where she works is especially hot in the summer time. For that reason, Nancy left work early after being harassed by this spirit. There's also a spirit that's called Eddy, it came after a wheel chair that dated back some years was incorporated as a prop in the theater. It sometimes pulls people's hair and throws food around, in an effort to amuse itself. In the Menger Hotel (which is across the street from the Alamo) in S.A. is the ghost of steamboat captain and ship owner Richard King. He worked his way to Texas after running away from New York. In the early 1850's his ranch was over a half a million acres. His cattle herd was reportedly over a million strong. When he came to San Antonio it was for business, as it was the financial center there. As it was through the Chisholm Trail which went through San Antonio up to Abilene, Kansas where cattle was eventually sold. One day King died in bed while visiting in S.A. in April 1885, at age 60. There it has been

reported that the captain has been sighted going into room 2052, the exact suite where he died. So the same bed that passed on to the next world is still available for people to sleep on in this one - should they dare to. The Victoria's Black Swan Inn is a mansion. One of the owners is Jo Ann Rivera. She has concluded that spirits live there. Jo Ann was woken up by a spirit at two in the morning for a week, that is until she rearranged her furniture. Also she has seen a female entity walking through the area. Once while giving an interview on about the various hauntings, a strange knocking began which could be heard during the taping of it. Also her brother was visiting her house, he stayed upstairs. His sister went into one of the bathrooms while up there with him and asked him why he had brought in so many butcher knives to the bathtub. Jo Ann told him that he could not possibly kill a ghost with such a weapon. To which he replied, "I know but I feel more comfortable with them there." Thereafter, he never visited his sister again. A spirit that's described as coming from a young girl sometimes visits her, some call it "Sarah" because it plays with dolls there along with a tea set there. She's reportedly the daughter of the house builders, Heinrick and Marie Mahler. They were German immigrants who built the house in 1901. San Antonio was known at one time as a German town. However the spirits of Park Street and Jolene Woods are ones who left the greatest impression on the building. Jolene and Mister Street, who one of most famous lawyers in San Antonio at that time - he was very theatrical in the courtroom, often threw great parties at the house. In fact, one of the writers for Perry Mason (a famous television program from 1957-1966 which starred Raymond Burr) Novels often based his scripts on Mr. Streets actions, and Mr. Gardner even wrote scripts in the house back then when staying there as a guest. Despite all of the good times, Jolene died in her early thirties of cancer and Park committed suicide shortly thereafter. The Hertzberg Museum in San Antonio is haunted. The ghost is reportedly the one of a young rich man John McMullen. He sold his property to a good friend and fellow partner named James McGloin. In 1853, after moving to the country side he heard something strange at his door knocking; shortly thereafter he saw a mist. It formed into his former friend who was dying from a stab wound to his neck area. In a moment, the sight was gone. James then left San Patricio to San Antonio to find his former friend. when he found him, his friend was dead just as he had seen with his throat slit by some unknown assailant. The museum now occupies the very place where he died. Sometimes keys are heard rattling with nobody around, doors being slammed and lights are turned off and on all the time by some unknown thing. At the institute of Texan Cultures, a horse drawn hearse from nearby Catroville - a former French speaking area; is often found with it's door open. The security officers at night often find this to be so. This after seeing them closed on earlier rounds about the building. The doors of the carriage are very heavy and cannot be opened by themselves. It was used mainly from the 1880's to the early 1900's. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Philadelphia has had many famous visitors there. Besides the founding fathers, Bram Stoker wrote Dracula there and Edgar Allen Poe wrote many of his most terrifying stories while living in Philly. It was once the Capitol of the country from 1790-1800. The statue of William Penn (the city founder) has been reported to move around and descend upon the grounds of the Pennsylvania Hospital. There's a legend of a statue of Benjamin Franklin, that supposedly walks about at night. There have reports or legends of spirits walking about in the Independence Hall, where the Constitution was signed by the likes of Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson. Many people have reported seeing figures walking, hearing sounds and seeing strange mists. In 1994, a Park Ranger while closing up reported seeing someone at the foot of the staircase, and told them to leave in his mind. Shortly thereafter the spirit was gone up the steps. A former fort since the Revolutionary War, Fort Mifflin has fourteen buildings and fifty acres. It has a spirit called Amos. A soldier who's seen cleaning his gun. Also a spirit that seems to be a blacksmith, clanging away is often heard. The Casemates near the main gates were once prison cells during the Civil War, perhaps holding 300 Confederate soldiers; people have seen a faceless soldier type of ghost, along with a despairing prisoner ghost and hearing a screaming woman. Reportedly she was a woman who committed suicide after hearing about her daughter's death while at the Fort. Elizabeth Pratt fought with her daughter who died at a early age and had never made time to make up after the fight, hence the constant screaming or mourning. On one occasion a tour guide who lived near by, called the police on one occasion because of the noise. He thought a woman was being attacked, but when the police showed up nobody was there. It's reported to be the most haunted place in America with a Hessian (German) soldier walking about in the cellar there with great frequency. He was murdered and buried there, and his spirit first started haunting the hotel in 1848. The General Wayne has had many famous guests, both in the past and in the present. Franklin, Poe and Washington all stayed there. There are perhaps seventeen ghosts there from many classes of people. Poe's spirit has been reported being seen at his former favorite table. An officer that requests a locket with a picture often appears to the staff. lastly there's the whistling ghost who messes with employees. At 300 in the morning, a manager always reports hearing a single scream of a male voice at night. For three hundred years the hotel has had many strange happenings.
