This Document must be measured and compiled in accordance with Main Roads Standard Method Of Measurement For Construction Works and incorporate the Preambles To The Schedule of Rates And Bills Of Quantities and where necessary, Contract Specific Preambles. This document must be completed by a Qualified Quantity Surveyor experienced in Main Roads WA Major Works Contracts. Main Roads' Quantity Surveyor can provide advice to ensure accuracy and completeness of these Schedules of Rates and/or Bills of Quantities and compliance with Main Roads Standard Method Of Measurement For Construction Works. The Project Description lines only need to be entered on the Contents Page. The information entered there will automatically appear on the Summary Page. Where additional items are added to Schedule 2 - Roadworks, the Contents page numbers should be checked, and when necessary manually corrected. If the "Bridge" Bill(s) is/are not required, delete the sheet and the entries on the Contents and Summary pages. If extra Bridge Bills are required, copy the Bridge Bill, and edit/amend both the Contents and the Summary page to suit. Correct the Contract number shown in ALL the footers : Press the CTRL & i keys together, and follow the prompts. With correct use of this document, ALL totals should automatically be transferred to the Section Total and Summary. However, Authors should still check that this has in fact happened. ALL items in the Schedule of Rates/Bill of Quantities that have, 'Item' as the Unit of measurement shall have the quantity of '1' entered in the Quantity column.
