Asia Zone competitors (by invitation only) must posses a valid Competition Licence issued by their respective ASNs/ FMNs under the authority of FIM.

RACE FORMAT The Honda Wave 125 and CBR 150 Asean Superstar race will be of a 12 laps race. The Honda 100 EX5 Dream race, the competitors will be divided into 3 groups (A,B & C), to be determine by ballot, each group will be race in Heat I & II. Competitors with the highest number of points will be the winner, in case of a tie, the position of the last race will decide. Position 1st 6th in each group qualify for the final. Entries open forthwith and closed on 5th September 2005. All entries received will be considered by the Organizers having regard the suitability of the bike and the competitors. The Organizers may refuse an entry of a bike and/or competitor without assigning a reason and their decision is final. The entry will be refunded to a nonaccepted entry. START PROCEDURE The start procedure for all races will be as follows:-

a) the

Competitors will be called to leave the Pits approximately 10 minutes before the start of their respective race. This is the Sighting Lap. At end of this lap, they will stop at their respective grid position with their engines stopped.

b)

At the Green flag/light (in pit lane) signaling the Start of the Sighting Lap, competitors will have 5 minutes to get onto the track. At the end of this 5 minutes, the pit exit will be closed by the Red flag/light. The approach to the Warm Up lap will be announced by signaling boards showing 5, 3, 1, minute and 30 seconds before the Start. i. ii. 5 MINUTE board Beginning of the countdown. 3 MINUTE board Everybody except competitors, officials and 3 team members must vacate the grid area. 1 MINUTE board Everybody except competitors plus 1 assistant each must vacate the grid area. 30 SECOND board & START ENGINE panel All vehicles after being push started must return back to its original grid position before proceeding for this warm up lap. The flashing yellow lights are lit. The marshal responsible for the warm up lap walks down the grid from the first row to the last, stopping at each row. The riders must start the warm up lap, line by line, once the marshal responsible has reached their line and lowered the two red flags. Any competitor who is not able to start must raise his arm. After all the other vehicles have started the warm up lap his mechanic and officials will be allowed to push the vehicle on the circuit in an attempt to start the engine. If it cant be started, it should be pushed back into the Pits (if possible) and / or pushed to the fence (grandstand side). If it can be started, the vehicle must continue on the warm up lap but it is forbidden to pass any competitor and will start last on the real grid. In the event of a vehicle which has started off late arriving in sight of the grid when the green flag is displayed by the official at the end of the Grid, the competitor must compulsorily head into the Pits at reduced speed from where he will start but only after the whole field has passed the Pit exit on their first racing lap. When the competitors approach the Starting Grid, competitors must stop close to their designated Grid positions and to keep their engines running.

An official will hold up a Red flag at the front of the grid. When the official observes that the full grid is stationary, the Red flag will be lowered and the Red light will come on and within 2 5 seconds, the lights will be extinguished signaling the Start of the race. If after coming back to the Starting line, a vehicles engine stalls or a competitor is unable to start he must immediately raise his arm above his head. THE START WILL NOT BE DELAYED. Directly after the Start, the Grid officials will immediately assist by pushing the vehicle along the circuit to get it started failing which the vehicle will be abandoned in a safe place as possible. No service or supporting personnel are allowed on the grid at this time. NOTE: ANY INFRINGEMENT OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED START PROCEDURE WILL BE REPORTED TO THE STEWARDS OF THE MEETING WHO MAY IMPOSE A FINE AND/OR POSSIBLE EXCLUSION.

JUMP START

i)

A Jump Start will be deemed to have occurred when the spindle of the front wheel crosses the line demarcating the front of the riders grid position. Penalty for a jump start will be 30 second, which will be added to the total elapsed time.

GRID POSITION The grid position will be based from the fastest time achieve during qualifying session / timed practiced.

FINISHER i) When the leading rider has complete the designated numbers of lap for the race, he will be shown a chequered flag by an official standing at the finish line, at track level. To be counted as a finisher in the race a rider must have; a) b) Completed 75% of the number of laps carried out by the winner; Crossed the finish line under its own propulsion within two minutes of the race winner.

STOPPING THE RACE

Should it be deemed necessary to stop the race due to force majaure, the red flag shall be shown by the Clerk of The Course at the start/finish line and followed by all the other flag marshals to indicate the race has been stopped. All riders will immediately stop racing and continue slowly to the start line, being prepared to stop at any point as requested by a Race Official. The result of a stopped race is as follows: i) should two third of the race been completed, it shall be deemed a race and the result will be the finishing order at the end of the lap preceding the stopping. should the race be completed for 2 laps and below, it shall be re-run and the 1st race will be null and void. should the race be completed for 3 laps but less than two third of the original race distance, rounded down to the nearest whole number of laps (for two thirds of the original race duration) then the race will be re-started with the laps and times of the two races added together to arrive at the final results.

PROTEST Protest must be made in accordance with G5 G6 of NCR of the AAM and lodge with the Clerk Of The Course for onward transmission to the Steward Of The Meeting. a) b) c) All protests pertaining to the external appearance of the bike must be made hour before the start of the race. It is the responsibility of each competitor to ensure that his pit crew are fully conversant with all pit rules. Any contravention by any team members may entail to the disqualification of the riders. No motorcycle may be ridden in the reverse direction in the pit lane, immediate exclusion will result from such action. Riders are allowed to push their bikes in such a direction. Smoking and drinking of beer and alcoholic drinks is strictly Prohibited in the pit area including the pit boxes.

Children under 12 years of age will in no circumstances be allowed in the pit nor the track area. Children over 12 years must be in the company of a responsible adult. 4 passes shall be issued to each entrant as follows: Riders 1 pass Crew 3 passes Passes must bear the name and I/C number of the holder and must be worn in a prominent manner all the times.

FLAGS SIGNALS Start Of The Race State Flag or Lights Chequered Flag (Black & White Squares) Signal the end of the race or practice session Green Flag The track is clear This flag must be shown motionless at each flag marshal post for the first lap of each practice session, for the sighting lap and for the warm up lap. This flag must be shown motionless at the flag marshal post immediately after the incident that necessitated the use of one or more yellow flag. This flag must be waved by the starter to signal the start of the warm up lap. When the pit-lane exit is open, this flag must be waved at the pit-lane exit. Yellow Flag Shown waved at the flag marshal post, this flag indicates that there is a danger ahead. The riders must slow down and be prepared to stop. Overtaking is forbidden up until the point where the green flag is shown. During the final inspection lap, this flag must be waved at the exact place where the flag marshal will be positioned during the practices and races. Blue Flag Shown waved at the flag marshal post, this flag indicates to a rider that he is about to be overtaken. Yellow and Red Stripped Flag Oil, water or another substance is affecting adhesion on this section of the track. This flag must be shown motionless at the flag marshal post. White Flag. An intervention vehicle is on the track. Waved at the flag marshal post. Red Flag. This means to stop racing immediately and proceed slowly to the pit. Be prepared to stop if necessary. Failure to abide by this rules will entail immediate disqualification. Black Flag

Informs the competitor of that number to stop at his pit on his next lap. Black Flag/Orange Disc Informs the competitor of that number that his bike has mechanical problems likely to endanger himself or other and must stop at his pit on his next lap. White Flag with Diagonal Red Cross Shown motionless at each marshal post, the race is neutralized. Rider must slow down and be prepared to catch the SAFETY CAR. Riders must line up in a single file behind it. 22. ADVERTISING a) Competitors are obliged to carry 3 pieces of the main sponsor stickers and 2 pieces of the co-sponsor stickers. The decision of the Organizer is final. Any other advertising carried by the competitor must be declared to the Organizer for approval. Any painted advertising will be treated as decal. Advertising charges in conflict with Title Sponsor is RM500.00 per entry per bike. Any other Sponsor is RM100.00 per entry per bike c) The competition number supplied by the Organizers cannot be mutilated. Any branding on them cannot be cut off. All form of advertising prior to or after the race by the competitors or their sponsor must obtain the approval of the Organizers for correctness before publicity under pain of an advertisement of at least the same size and frequency in accordance with clause D 14.2 of the NCR of the AAM. Approval for such advertising shall only be released at the earliest 24 hours after time of submission. The Organizers shall not be held responsible for any delay in the release of any approved advertisement. Advertisements of the results shall carry the title of the event at a prominent place of the advertisement. The size of the title shall not be less than 1/10th of the length of advertisement.

INSURANCE The Organizer and Promoter will arrange Public Liability Insurance coverage for the event. ORGANIZERS RIGHTS a) b) The Organizer and the Promoter may abandon, cancel or postpone the event due to unforeseen circumstances. Distribute the awards at their own discretion if through bona fide unforeseen circumstances, the competition is stopped before its schedule completion.

Exclude any bikes whose appearance, condition and performance is not of a standard appropriate for the competition. Competitors, Entrants or any Organisation will have no right to claim against the Promoters or Organisers for any expenses incurred or losses suffered through the exercising of these rights by the Organisers.

APPEN DIX A Honda Wave 125 ASEAN SUPESTAR ONE MAKE RACE TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION All motorcycle taking part in this competition must be Honda Wave 125 model, in accordance with factory workshop manual. The following modifications only are permitted: UNLESS IT SAYS YOU CAN DO IT, YOU CANNOT 1. The carburetor mounted on the standard model shall not be changed. Jetting must be standard. Main jet 80 and Pilot jet 30. Boring and polishing is not allowed. It is permitted to remove the air cleaner case, filtering element but the casing and connecting hose must be fitted at the original position. Cylinder head must be standard casting or materials. Cylinder barrels are not allowed to be modified. Cylinder barrels must be standard casting and materials. The materials dimensions and shape of the crankshaft assembly must be standard. Piston and piston rings must be standard. Cam shaft must be standard. Spark plug must be standard size. Exhaust system is free provided it does not protrude beyond the rear wheel Original ignition must be standard. The original battery must be fitted and the machine must run under self charging condition. Primarily gear ratio and number of gear must be standard (chain size 415 / Front sprocket 14T / Rear sprocket 37T)

Rim size front 1.7 x 160 maximum. Rim size front 1.7 x 185 maximum. Cast wheel. Only standard road legal tyres are allowed. The size must be 90 x 80 x 17 for front and rear. Slick, hand cut and rain tyres are not permitted. Brakes must be standard. The front suspension must be retained. Rear absorber is free but the mounting position must be standard. Footrest, rear brake lever, gear lever and linkage may be relocated or replaced, but must be mounted ahead of the rear wheel spindles. Minimum weight must be 81 kg without fuel. All drain plugs must be safely wired. External oil filter(s), screws and bolts that enter an oil cavity must safely wired. Any pipes that come of the engine or transmission, including overflow pipes, must be discharged into a heat resistant catch tank. Either tank and / or pipes should be of a clear or translucent material and be visible to the rider in the riding position. Seat may be modified using the original seat base. A bump pad is allowed, but must be kept within limit of the original seat base. All machines will be impounded half an hour before the race and half an hour after the posting of the results. All protest pertaining to the external appearance of machines must be made at least half an hour before the start of the race.

(All jetting, fuel lines including fuel valves) It is permitted to remove the air cleaner case, filtering element and connecting hose to the carburetor and trumpets or air funnels including cover can be fitted. Cylinder head must be standard casting and materials, but porting, polishing and skimming is permitted including modification if necessary. Cylinder barrels may be modified and the bore may be increased provided this increases does not exceed 1mm over the standard piston size. Cylinder barrels must be standard casting and materials. Piston and piston rings must be standard. Modification is allowed. Cam shaft must be standard. Modification is allowed. Spark plug is free Exhaust system is free provided it does not protrude beyond the rear wheel

Final drive ratio is free. Gear ratio is free but the number of gear cannot be change. Footrest, rear brake lever, gear lever and linkage may be relocated or replaced, but must be mounted ahead of the rear wheel spindles. Minimum weight must be 80 kg. No additional fuel tank allowed. All drain plugs must be safely wired. External oil filter(s), screws and bolts that enter an oil cavity must safely wired. Any pipes that come of the engine or transmission, including overflow pipes, must be discharged into a heat resistant catch tank. Either tank and / or pipes should be of a clear or translucent material and be visible to the rider in the riding position. Seat may be modified using the original seat base.
