Overview: The vLocPro is intended for use by field technicians to locate and trace the position of buried utility pipes and cables. The vLocPro system is a completely new system for pipe and cable location. Designed by engineers experienced in the field of location and incorporating ideas and feedback from customers, the product addresses many of the shortcomings of locators. The vLocPro system provides the functionality required by experienced field and the required simplicity needed by novices. The system has a classic look with an intuitive user interface designed to minimize training needed when transition from other manufacturers' equipment. Different and more application specific user interfaces will become available as new features specific and accessories are introduced. The vLocPro receiver is the first of a new generation of DSP dual core processor technology products designed and manufactured by VivaxVivax-Metrotech Corporation.

The utility returns the signal via faults / leakage, back to the transmitter. The transmitter is designed to be powered from Dry Cell battery tray or optional rechargeable battery tray. The non-intrusive measuring device; vLocPro Receiver, takes measurements along the utility and display the results directly onto the colour screen of the receiver. There is no need to carry extra logging and display devices. A +/- 3M accuracy optional external GPS antenna is being supplied with kit. It links to the vLocPro Receiver via a Bluetooth radio link. The GPS ensures that the user can generate real time measurements with GPS co-ordinates. Optional storing the results also has the benefit of facilitating the data recording. All the data is displayed and logged into the receiver which can be downloaded to a spread sheet and / or kml file format; allows the user to establish trends of measurements. The A-Frame Fault Finding Optional Accessory is used to accurately locate the position of a cable isolation faults to ground or sheath fault. Arrows points the user to the position of the fault whilst quickly and efficiently display the magnitude of fault signal on the receivers display. This ensures the user minimises the chances of misidentification.
