REQUEST FOR WAIVING COMPETITION (if needed)


I hereby request waiving of competition for the purchase(s) listed overleaf and for the reason(s) indicated below, which I certify to be correct to
the best of my knowledge (see Non Food Manual).
Prices or rates are fixed pursuant to national legislation or regulatory bodies.
WFP, on the basis of competent technical advice, has approved the standardisation of supplies, equipment, spare parts and other
items and where the related services pertaining to these standardised items makes competition impracticable.
The requirements of emergency operations, or other immediate operational needs, do not permit the delay attendant on the execution
of a competitive process.
Only one source can meet WFPs requirement or the procurement relates to perishable supplies.
Competition for identical items has been obtained during the preceding three months, and there has been no substantial change in
price or market trends in the meantime.
The proposed contract is for services of individuals other then staff members.
