EarthBlastBaseDC:5+2/1.5mThefirstoffensiveabilityanearthbenderlearnsistolevitatethe earthbeneathherandpunchorkickitatgreatspeedstowardsheropponents.Ablastdeals1d6 bludgeoningdamageat1stlevelandincreasesinpowerastheearthbendergainslevels,asshown above.Ablastisarangedattack,andanearthbendercanuseanumberofblastsinoneroundequal tothenumberofiterativeattacksshecanmake(asdeterminedbyherBAB).Aearthbendercan onlyuseblastswhenthereisasourceofopenearthwithinherbendingrange.Aearthbenderdoes notrequiresalineofsighttothetargetoftheblast,andassuchcanmaneuvertheblastarounda cornerorothercoverbyadding+5totheearthbendingDC,butstillsufferspenaltiesfor concealment,asappropriate.Becauseofthestrengthrequiredtomoveastubbornelementlike earth,anearthbendermayapplyhisStrengthmodifierinsteadofhisDexteritymodifiertoanEarth Blast'sattackroll,ifshewishes;andshealsoaddsherStrengthmodifiertodamage. DeflectAttackBaseDC:5Earlyintheirtraining,earthbenderslearntoblockordeflectattacks directedatthemandtheircompanions.Onceperround,anearthbendercanattempttonegatea rangedattack(eitherconventionalorbending)targetedwithin10feet+5ftper3classlevels. Negatingthisattackrequirestheearthbendersucceedinanopposedattackroll.Iftheearthbenders attackrollislessthanheropponents,theattackisunaffectedbythedeflectionattemptandis resolvedasnormal.UsingthisinitialDeflectBendingattemptcountsasanimmediateaction. Additionally,anearthbenderhastheoptionofreservingiterativeattacksinordertogainmore DeflectAttackattempts.Whenevershemakesafullroundattack,anearthbendermaychooseto forgoanumberofiterativeattacks,gaininganumberofadditionalDeflectAttackattemptsequalto thenumberofattackstheearthbenderreserved.Regardlessofhowmanyattacksanearthbender forgoes,shecannotusemoreDeflectAttackattemptsthanshehasiterativeattacksduetohighBase AttackBonus.ThesesubsequentDeflectBendingattemptsdonotcountasactions,andcanbeused anytimeduringtheround,evenwhenitisnottheearthbender'sturn. Ifanearthbenderiscaughtflatfooted,shecanmakeaReflexSave(DC10+theattackersBAB +theattackersDexteritymodifier)tostillmakeaDeflectAttackattempt.Aflatfootedearthbender cannevermakemorethanasingleDeflectAttackattempt. Forexample,a15thlevelearthbendersBaseAttackBonusallowshertomake3iterativeattacks.If shedecidestomakeafullroundattack,shecanreserveasmanyas2oftheseattacksinorderto gain2additionalDeflectAttackattempts(bringinghertotalto3forthatround). RockManipulationBaseDC:5Themostbasicoftheearthbendingseeds,manipulationinvolves simplemovementorshapingofearthorstone. Movement:ThebaseDCisformovinga5footcubeofearthupto5ftperroundinanydirection. Addinganother5footcubeofearthtoaseedincreasestheEarthbendingDCby+2percube,and movingtheearthanadditional5feetadds+2totheDC.Thisuseoftheseedisamoveaction.(see table3)

AlteringComposition:Youcangatherandcondensethehardermineralsinearthtocreaterockof anykind.Thisuseoftheseedcantakethenormalforkraftantimeornoberesolvedaspartof otherusesoftheseeds.Inthefirstwayitreducesthecostofmaterialsby1/2andtheobjectsso createdareasdurableasnormal.Intheseconwaythematerialyoucreate,duetothequiknessof theprocessandthepovertyofbasematerials,doesnotcostbutarelessdurablethannormallasting onlyfor10min/liv.Whenalteringthecompositionorlearninganewmaterialyouaddyour actualleveltoyourearthbendingchek.ThebaseDCforalteringthecompositionofaDiminutive massofearthorstoneisthebaseEarthbendingDC+5foreverysizecategorylargerthan Diminutive,+10foreverysizecategorylargerthanLargeitis+thebreakCD(modifierconbe addeddependingonthemineralsconcentrationinthebasematerialtheearthbenderuse).The earthbendercantransmuteonlyintomaterialssheknow.Anerthbendercanlearntocreateanew materialwithabendingchekwithCD10+thebreakCD. Shaping:Thisseedcanalsobeusedtomanipulatethebasicshapeofearthorstone,thoughit doesnotallowintricatedetail.Forexample,creatingasculptureofahumanoidispossible,but makingoneofaspecificpersonisnot,andthesculpturecomesoutroughandbumpy;creatinga sculptureofaspecificraceisalsodifficult,buttelltalefeatures(likeanelfsears)couldgiveit away.ThebaseDCisformanipulatingtheshapeofaDiminutivemassofearthstone;theEarth bendingDCincreasesby+5foreverysizecategorylargerthanDiminutivethesculptureis,andthis changesto+10foreverysizecategorylargerthanLargeitis.Thisuseoftheseedtakesonefull roundaction.Byshapingearthorrockyoucanalsocreateweponsbutifyoudecidetoselect specificmineralstobuiltityouusetheerathbendindDCofthe. BurrowAnearthbendercantunnelthroughdirtandrock,hecannotchargeorrunwhile burrowing.Aburrowingearthbenderdonotleavebehindtunnelsothercreaturescanuseunlessshe decidetodoso.Anearthbenderneedtoholdhisbreathinburrowingtime. UnarmedStrike:Earthbendersarehighlytrainedinfightingunarmed,givingthemconsiderable advantageswhendoingso.At1stlevel,anEarthbendergainsImprovedUnarmedStrikeasabonus feat.Anearthbendersattacksmaybewitheitherfistinterchangeablyorevenfromelbows, knees,andfeet.Thismeansthatanearthbendermayevenmakeunarmedstrikeswithher handsfull.Thereisnosuchthingasanoffhandattackforaearthbendersstrikingunarmed.An earthbendermaythusapplyherfullStrengthbonusondamagerollsforallherunarmedstrikes. Usuallyanearthbendersunarmedstrikesdeallethaldamage,butshecanchoosetodealnonlethal damageinsteadwithnopenaltyonherattackroll.Shehasthesamechoicetodeallethalor nonlethaldamagewhilegrappling.Anearthbendersunarmedstrikeistreatedbothasa manufacturedweaponandanaturalweaponforthepurposeofspellsandeffectsthatenhanceor improveeithermanufacturedweaponsornaturalweapons(suchasthemagicfangandmagic weaponspells). ConduttanceModulation(Su):At7thlevelorhigher,anearthbendercanusehercontrolon mineralstomodulatetheionicballanceamongcelstohealherownwounds.Shecanhealanumber ofhitpointsofdamageequaltotwicehercurrentearthbenderleveleachday,andshecanspread thishealingoutamongseveraluses.
