DON'T WASTE HIS ANOINTING

I had a wonderful time before the Lord this morning, worshipping and
praising His goodness and majesty. His presence was awesome, and I
know that He anointed me with fresh oil (Psalms 23:5). Just I knelt
before Him quietly, I could hear a still small voice saying in my heart,
"don't waste my anointing" And then it dawned on me that, that is
exactly what we do. We wake up and spend precious time before God
praying, worshipping and praising, and He in turn anoints us with fresh
oil. This occurs on a daily basis as we appear before Him. But the
question is, "what do we do with that anointing, we just go back to being
our normal selves. Living the same old way. God expects us to touch the
lives of people around us on a daily basis, through prayer, talking or
sharing the gospel about Jesus. It could be by just being nice and
friendly or by making sure that our behaviour around them is befitting
of the glory of God.

When God anoints us, it is not for our own benefit but for those that He
brings us in contact with in our daily lives! , "The Spirit of the Lord is
upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto
the meek; He hath sent me to bind up the broken hearted..."(Isaiah 61:1-
3).

What good are we to God if others cannot come to Him through us. We
are supposed to be God's navigation system, leading people to Christ (2
Cor 5:19-20). The anointing is not just for the pulpit but much more for
the pew. You are created to be a sign and a wonder unto your world (Is
8:18). Let’s prove to God that His grace over us is not in vain. Let’s go
out there and touch the lives of others with the glory and power of God
in us. Whoever comes in contact with should not go back the same. In
that office that you work how many of your colleagues know that you
serve God? How many of them share their problems with you and thank
God they did. Remember He has loaded power for a purpose, put it to
you use in your life and the life of others.
