Data Retrieval via PL/SQL Stored Procedure

getEssbaseData() procedure exploits Oracle s Oracles RDBMS Technologies

1. Convert the ESSBASE_INPUT data structure into an MDX Query. 2. To communicate with Provider Services: Use Oracles UTL_HTTP UTL HTTP APIs and send the XML/A EXECUTE Request which contains the MDX query and receive the response. 3. To decode XML/A response: Use Oracle s DBMS_XMLPARSER Oracles DBMS XMLPARSER & DBMS_XMLDOM for XML parsing of response received from Provider. 4. Extract the data from the parsed XML/A response and load into the ESSBASE_RESULTSET data structure.
