MARCO REFERENCIAL

Las condiciones críticas tanto económicas como ecológicas del sistema mundial, las
particularidades de Colombia y la realidad de una creciente brecha entre los países
con sistemas económicos consolidados frente a países que padecen precariedades
económicas, requieren una redefinición del desarrollo humano y un nuevo énfasis
sobre el conocimiento científico y tecnológico en la educación formal. Tales
procesos exigen una nueva manera de percibir el mundo, de generar una
comunicación intercultural, de tal manera que los actores sociales tengan la
posibilidad de afirmar su identidad, de desarrollar las habilidades comunicativas
necesarias para interactuar y tener el mismo reconocimiento como creadores y
fuentes de mensajes.
La Ley 115 determina, a partir del articulo 67 de la Constitución, como uno de los
fines de la educación “El estudio y la comprensión crítica de la cultura nacional y de
la diversidad étnica y cultural del país, como fundamento de la unidad nacional y
de su identidad”. Así mismo, resalta la necesidad de promover la adquisición de por
lo menos una lengua extranjera desde el ciclo de primaria.

DIAGNOSTICO

Se ha observado un creciente interés por la asignatura, salvo excepciones, la

mayoría de los estudiantes participan con entusiasmo en el desarrollo del proceso
formativo y social de la misma. Se observa, sin embargo, un bajo nivel de desarrollo
en su comprensión auditiva.

Para atender las necesidades formativas de los estudiantes, la institución no cuenta

con materiales didácticos apropiados y actualizados en la cantidad y calidad
suficiente (revistas, periódicos, filmes, etc.). Así mismo, existe la carencia de un
aula especializada o laboratorio de idiomas que permita un mejor desempeño de
los estudiantes en la clase.

A lo anteriormente expuesto, se suma el hecho de ser cursos muy numerosos

(sobrepasan, por lo general, los 30 alumnos). Esto implica una dificultad enorme,
debido a que lo recomendable es un promedio de 14 a 16 alumnos por salón para la
clase de idiomas, cualquiera que sea, a fin de desarrollar actividades
verdaderamente significativas que se conviertan en verdaderos retos para el
aprendizaje de un nuevo idioma.

JUSTIFICACIÓN

El idioma Inglés amplia el horizonte cultural y las posibilidades de relacionarse con

personas que hablan lenguas distintas al Castellano. Así mismo, genera
oportunidades laborales, genera “status”, pues la comunicación fluida y la
comprensión de mensajes representa un atractivo especial con amplia demanda,
igualmente significa una puerta de acceso directo a películas, revistas, libros,
Internet y medios como la televisión de los grandes canales internacionales.

Dada su importancia práctica, nuestra legislación lo incluye como área obligatoria.

OBJETIVOS GENERALES

• Desarrollar una formación integral considerando las diferentes dimensiones del

ser humano, los procesos, subprocesos y estándares del lenguaje.

• Propiciar el desarrollo de las competencias comunicativa, lingüística e

interpretativa en el idioma Inglés.

ESTANDARES

Formalmente la mayoría de los programas de la enseñanza de lenguas extranjeras

hacen énfasis en el cómo (gramática) para decir qué (vocabulario). Estos
componentes rigen aun el desarrollo curricular del área, sin embargo el principio
organizador del estudio del lenguaje a nivel global es la comunicación, el cual
resalta el por qué, el quién y el cuándo (aspectos sociolingüísticos y culturales del
lenguaje). Este enfoque facilita una interacción genuina con los otros, así estén en
otro continente, en otra ciudad o un país vecino logrando así definir qué
estándares internacionales debe alcanzar el individuo.

ACERCA DE LAS FUNCIONES DEL LENGUAJE

Por otra parte, en la enseñanza de cualquier idioma, es importante resaltar la

función que cumple el lenguaje, es decir, el propósito comunicativo (dar
instrucción, informar, solicitar, rechazar, expresar enojo, convencer, etc.), debido a
que el acto comunicativo obedece a la expresión de un sentimiento, parecer, etc., y
no sólo a la enunciación de frases fuera de contexto.

COMPETENCIAS BÁSICAS Y ESPECÍFICAS

Se trabajarán, durante el desarrollo de la clase de idioma extranjero – Inglés- las

siguientes competencias:

1. Competencia Interpretativa (auditiva y lectora)

2. Competencia Gramatical
3. Competencia Propositiva (escritural y oral)
4. Competencia sociolingüística o pragmática

No obstante el trabajo de las anteriores competencias, es importante analizar las

que se desarrollan durante la enseñanza de un idioma. Estas atienden básicamente
a dos grandes aspectos:

1. La Competencia Organizativa
2. La Competencia Pragmática

A su vez, la competencia organizativa se divide o atiende los aspectos gramaticales

y textuales y, por su parte, la competencia pragmática se encarga de lo ilocutivo y la
parte sociolingüística de la comunicación.

Sin embargo, la enseñanza del Inglés como segunda lengua o lengua extranjera
pretende desarrollar en el estudiante la competencia comunicativa (Dell Hymes),
para que éste pueda hablar, escuchar, leer y escribir apropiadamente en el idioma
que se este comunicando.

El siguiente cuadro ilustra las competencias que promueve cualquier idioma.

 METODOS DE ENSEÑANZA

Con el propósito de lograr el desarrollo de habilidades y destrezas como la

comprensión auditiva, comprensión e interpretación de textos, producción oral y
escrita de mensajes, es decir, la aprehensión y dominio de las habilidades
comunicativas básicas, se aplicara una metodología activa, constructivista y de
aprendizaje significativo, procurando la motivación permanente del estudiante.
Para esto se han diseñado estrategias creativas seleccionando temáticas del interés
de estos, actividades lúdicas que afiancen el conocimiento conforme al grado
indicado. Se introduce, de esta manera, el enfoque comunicativo, cuyo desarrollo
pleno se llevará a cabo teniendo en cuenta los siguientes aspectos:

SISTEMAS DE EVALUACIÓN

Como proceso continuo y aplicación de criterios de auto evaluación, coevaluacion y

heteroevaluacion, se motivará en forma permanente y valorará integralmente el
proceso de adquisición y dominio de las habilidades comunicativas.

Se aplicará para esto diferentes estrategias que permitan observar y registrar los
avances y/o dificultades durante el proceso de aprendizaje.

PLAN ESPECIAL DE RECUPERACIÓN POR PERIODO

Toda recuperación procederá después de una evaluación, por ello la recuperación

será:

a. Permanentemente o frecuente.
b. Parcial
c. Final

Este plan especial de recuperación se hará fundamentado en los mismos principios

de la evaluación, bajo el horizonte que enmarcan los logros, las competencias del
área y los estándares de calidad en idiomas extranjeros.
Las recuperaciones se realizarán atendiendo a los logros no alcanzados por los
estudiantes, teniendo en cuenta que dicho proceso evalúe la competencia afectada
(gramatical, pragmática, etc.)

La meta es alcanzar el mayor número de logros y la estimulación coherente de las

competencias del área propuestas.

PROYECTO DE MEJORAMIENTO DE LA ASIGNATURA INGLÉS

“LET’S SPEAK A GOOD ENGLISH”

CARACTERIZACIÓN

El presente Proyecto Educativo parte de la necesidad que existe en la población

estudiantil carmera y aún en la región de los Montes de Maria de adoptar el inglés
como lengua extranjera y como instrumento útil y necesario para alcanzar los
estándares nacionales en cuanto al desarrollo del ser humano como miembros de
una cultura en constante evolución política, social, académica y económica.

No es ajeno para muchos lo sostenido por el escritor y columnista del diario

nacional El Tiempo Daniel Samper Pizano cuando afirma que “Para la próxima
década quien no maneja el idioma inglés, será considerado dentro de ciertos grupos
culturales, analfabeta”.

De otra parte la SEP de México (Secretaria de Educación Pública) declara que “El
programa de Inglés que se imparte en las instituciones educativas debe estar
orientado a facilitar al alumno el manejo del idioma extranjero como una
herramienta de comunicación que le permita interactuar en un entorno más amplio
y al mismo tiempo propiciar el desarrollo de habilidades, actividades y valores que
formen al individuo.

Debido a esta y muchos otras razones, se hace necesario implementar en el Colegio

Nuestra Señora del Carmen este tipo de Proyecto Pedagógicos para la enseñanza
del Inglés que muestran al educando del aprendizaje del idioma Inglés, más ahora
cuando la nación se encuentra a las puertas del librecambismo en materia de
comercio y conocimientos técnicos y científicos y donde las políticas del mercado
laboral son cada vez más exigentes en cuanto a la preparación del individuo.

Por otro lado, es fin de la educación colombiana, contemplado en la Ley General de

Educación, el fortalecimiento de las habilidades comunicativas como son el
escuchar, hablar, leer y escribir para expresarse correctamente en cualquier
idioma.

De manera pues, que resulta no solo conveniente, sino necesario enfrentar a

jóvenes a experiencias que generen interés hacia la cultura americana y lo
proyecten hacia una realidad universal de la cual no podemos escapar: La
Globalización.

OBJETIVOS GENERALES

– Evidenciar a través de la pragmática (lenguaje en uso) los alcances del proyecto

“Let’s speak a good English” en cuanto al desarrollo de las habilidades
comunicativas en la lengua inglesa por parte de los estudiantes del Colegio
Nuestra Señora del Carmen.

– Diagnosticar en los estudiantes el nivel de conocimientos y habilidades

comunicativas en el uso del idioma inglés en situaciones contextualizadas.

– Implementar estrategias que facilita el desarrollo de las habilidades

comunicativas en los estudiantes a través del uso de ayudas audiovisuales y
fonográficas como el computador y los audífonos unipersonales.

– Supervisar el desarrollo de las actividades tendientes a conseguir el logro del

fortalecimiento de las competencias en los estudiantes del Colegio Nuestra
Señora del Carmen, interpretativa, argumentativa, y propósitiva tanto oral
como escrita.

– Evaluar continuamente el alcance de los indicadores de logro con base en la

exigencias de los estándares para lengua extranjera así como la implementación
de métodos y estrategias que pudieran surgir a raíz de situaciones especiales de
aprendizaje.

ESTUDIO DE FACTIBILIDAD DEL PROYECTO “LET’S SPEAK A GOOD

 ENGLISH”

¿QUÉ HACER?

Se realizará un programa especial de enseñanza de la asignatura Inglés con el

objeto de permitir el aprovechamiento de su naturaleza transversal en la
adquisición de conocimientos culturales y científicos que involucran las demás
áreas del conocimiento.

¿PARA QUÉ HACERLO?

Dotar a los estudiantes de una metodología amena, moderna y eficiente en la

adquisición y fortalecimiento de las competencias comunicativas en el idioma
Inglés toda vez que el aprendizaje significativo se da en contexto de agradabilidad
que implican métodos prácticos y atractivos.

¿POR QUÉ HACERLO?

Es necesario que el estudiante de hoy día se relacione y vivencie experiencias de

aprendizaje significativos basados en situaciones reales y aprovechamiento las
ayudas que la tecnología contemporánea ofrece para la mejor adquisición de la
lengua inglesa como instrumento facilitado de las relaciones laborales, culturales y
sociales del mundo actual.

¿CÓMO HACERLO?

Mediante la implementación de un programa diseñado especialmente para la clase

de Ingles, el cual incluye clases heterogéneas en cuanto a sexo y edad pero
homogéneas en el sentido de conocimientos previos. Para esto será necesario la
implementación del trabajo en la sala de bilingüismo con la ayuda de elementos
técnicos como audífonos individuales, T.V., grabadora, folletos, video Bind, textos
guías, cancionero en inglés, filmes en ingles y la representación de situaciones
mediante Role plays, todo esto bajo la supervisión del docente del área y ejecutado
por los estudiantes.

¿DÓNDE HACERLO?

Este proyecto se llevará a cabo en El Colegio Nuestra Señora del Carmen y tendrá
como trabajo de campo una salida pedagógica a la ciudad de Cartagena mediante
un tour o recorrido turístico.

¿CUÁNTO SE HARÁ?
El programa pretende abarcar aspectos relevantes en la enseñanza del Ingles
teniendo en cuenta 4 niveles para su ejecución: Inicial – Básico – Intermedio y
avanzados.

¿CUÁNDO SE HARÁ?

El programa o Proyecto Pedagógico “Let’s speak a good english” se llevará a cabo

por espacio del año académico en jornada continua, es decir, am con 3 periodos por
semana.

¿QUIÉNES LO HARÁN?

• Estudiantes de 5º a 11º del Colegio Nuestra Señora del Carmen.

• Docentes de la institución interesados en adquirir conocimientos en la lengua.

¿CON QUÉ MEDIO O RECURSO SE HARÁ?

El Colegio Nuestra Señora del Carmen estará a cargo de la adecuación de la sala de

Bilingüismos así como de la dotación del material impreso para la realización de los
test diagnóstico – clasificatorio para los estudiantes.
