Shirts has played very significance role in Indias culture and industrial economy. although clothes occupies barely 6% of Indian total area about 40 million people are dependent to clothes framing and the rupam industries is that more than 58% of production takes in co-operative factories which are also the local muti dimensional socio economic development role in rural area. Earlier bijapur was industrially backward city but now with accumulation of these, Rupam Industries has given lifeblood to the industrial growth of bijapur district. Development of Rupam Industries will lead to optimum utilization of shirts pieces and produce finest shirts. Rupam exports cover an area of bijapur and 42 village. And amounts of 39.58 crores had been invested to complete this project.

The unit is a modern garment making unit making formal shirts. The factory is surrounded by well kept garden. The Employee motivation and skill are among the best in the industry. The company constantly upgrades the skills of employee by inviting specialist from the field to identify areas for improvement and upgrade the skill . The unit is located in Bijapur a part of north Karnataka. The Vision: A garment unit located at Bijapur has the potential to provide the best quality garments at Extremely cost effective rates. It is our belief that the industries would come up in places where There is availability of trained labour. Our team does the work with great dedication . There cutting section: they have upgraded cutting section with Reach CAD for pattern making and Lay marking. We have completely upgraded out system to lay print out for each lay. Hence the accuracy levels are high

The Rupam Exports is a sister concern of Rupam Textiles and Runwal Infrastucture Pvt. Ltd . Rupam is a reputed dealer of fabric , saree and men's garments . It is the authorized dealers for major companies like Raymond , Digjam , Reid and Taylor , OCM , Dinesh to name a few . The group has three retail outlets.

Runwal Infrastucture Pvt Ltd is a company dealing in real estate. The company is one
of the finest developers of plots and layout in North Karnataka. The company is the leading developer in this area. The group enjoys excellent reputation in trade circles. We have very good rapport with all our associates for whom we do the job work . We are also well recognized by most of the machine suppliers in this trade . For any further reference they could provide them as and when required .

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE ORGANIZATION

The main objective of the organization is to promote women in the bijapur members on co-operative lines by introducing modern methods so as to achieve best results from the use of modern techniques. The other objectives of this organization are as follow :1. To manufacture shirts and their raw materials given by company like Peter England, ChessLine and send to that company with best advantage. 2. To arrange and run means of transports. 3. It assists the former to dispose off their innovations in a profitable manner. 4. To create direct and indirect employment in Bijapur district which is considered as backward area. 5. To development of local area, rural area infrastructure facilities. 6. To encourage self help and co-operation among the members.

FINANCE DEPARTMENT
Finance department takes care of the financial activities of company. This department involves maintaining of accounts. Accounting of bills of indigenous and exports are maintained separately. Functions: Making all the payment of all the types, on behalf of the factory. Supply pay bills. Reducing amount from from salary of the employees for gratitude, Provident fund, tax deducted at source etc. Which are payable to government. Maintain all other accounts, this this does not come under the preview of cane account section

PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT
PRODUCTION PROCESS Inspection of raw materials . Receipts to raw material for production. Cutting section under this bundling , fusing and numbering is done . Sticking section under is preparatory , assembling finishing is done

Rupam Exports provide manufacturing facilities under different stage


The quality of goods is checking by the most experienced &efficient staff in our industry and also we have the latest machinery such as metal defective machine, fabric checking machine & etc to check the quality. For quality control there is another batch of staff for rechecking the goods & packing the goods.

Procedures for quality checking


Grey fabric stage = count & construction check and weaving defects & stain check Processed fabric stage = colour specification check, print defect & stain check, dyeing consistency check, shrinkage check &stretch check Cutting stage = shape check, size check, specification check and weave /stripe direction check Finishing stage = stain check, weave perfection check ,shape &shape & stiffness check Packaging stage = labels & tabs check, order ratio, b/d check, packaging instruction compliance check

Production capacity
There production capacity in a per day is 1000 & above.

Quality Statement: Quality is the intelligent choice from so many options. they

are trying to be the best maker of shirts in the country. There is a big scope of improvement but they are trying and we shall become one of the best.
There cutting section: they have upgraded there cutting section with Reach

COMPUTER SECTION
A computer section is a part of administrative Department. Since manual working is costly, tedious and time consuming, the factory has computerized some of the departments. So the function of the computer section is to look after computer and maintaining records in computer. Two person are working in this section is to look after computer and maintain records in computer. Two people are working in this section. Following departments are computerized:1) Sales accounts section 2) Purchase Department 3) Cane Accounts department 4) General Accounts Department 5) Sales Departments 6) Stores Department 7) Time office 8) Weigh Bridge Department

STORES SECTION
Keeping the stock of the all types of materials ,which are for smooth running of running of the factory ,is the main function of this section. Totally 12 persons are working in this section according shift wise .the shift change every 8 hours Function:1. Receiving requirements letter from department. 2. Preparing order indent at which details regarding the previous part from where prices etc are return. 3. Sending the order indent to order indent person. 4. Receiving the purchasing materials and sending approval memos to concerned department. Asking them to check and certify the material the material purchased as quality, quality etc. 5. Recording the details about the material purchased in the concerned account. 6. Sending bill for payments to the accounts section.

HUMAN RESOURCE MANGEMENT DEPARTMENT (HR) TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT


Training and development of employee . Training controlling ,monitoring and administering of Apprentices Student training project work, practical trainings and factory visits.

TRAINING PROCEDURE Training is provided all employees in order to help them understand the requirement of the customers and understand the quality policy. Specific training is given to employee to help them understand the importance of the activities to be carried out and the produre to carryout their tasks with efficiency and least error As and when required , employee will be given training to improve their skill and in usage of tools and techniques for continuous improvement . Recorded of on job training are not maintained as this is a continuous activity at jssw Training records are established for in house training given for special topics such as first aid , skills enhancement ,tools and techniques for continuous improvement s and external training Effectiveness of the training given to employees is assessed by his hod .in case of staff personnel effectiveness is verified by owner Training needs are identified by the HODs and the owner

Attendance The attendance list is prepared in a book and kept in a guards room near the gate. The workers should sign in the attendance book while they come and also while they are going out. According to their attendance the salaries are given to employees monthly. Those who are not absent in a month he/she use to get Rs.200/- bonus.

WORKING HOURS Morning 9.00 to 6 pm . for workers but the office remain open till 8 clock They get lunch break of 1/2 hour from 1.30 to 2.00 pm Medical facility Medical facilities employees are given in a firm as well in hospital.

Suggestions & Recommendations


1. Management should come forward with new strategies and schemes in the matter of salary. Incentives etc, to motivate employees to work hard and exhibit their talent. 2. Management should take proper measures in the matter of allotment of benefits at right. It must come forward with new schemes keeping in view hard work, commitment, experience etc. 3. Rupam organization must take care in the matter of freedom / authority to the employees in decision making process .It should provide enough freedom to the employees in decision making at their levels so that the work should not be interrupted at any circumstances.

4. Management has to take proper steps in the matter of recognition of employee s efforts. Management must introduce the schemes of awards and see that employees are recognized in right time. 5. Management must ensures the job security and see that employees should never feel insecure which hampers the progress of the organization
