TOBIAS, D.D., hereinafter referred to as the “DIOCESE”; WITNESSETH THAT: WHEREAS, all parties are cognizant of the increasing number of school age Filipinos whom are out of school; WHEREAS, all parties recognize the urgent need to broaden access to basic education among the out-of-school youth and adults (OSYAs) as well as to integrate Information and Communications Technology (ICT) supported models in the Philippine alternative education system, specifically by maximizing the use of such technology in teaching the Accreditation and Equivalency (A&E) program of DepEd’s Alternative Learning System (ALS);

WHEREAS, CICT, through its Human Capital Development Group (HCDG and the Deparment of Education (DepEd), through its Bureau of Alternative Learning System (BALS), entered into a Memorandum of Understanding that commits both parties in setting up eSkwela Community eLearning Centers to cater to OSYAs, provide educators’ training, and provide e-learning materials to enhance learning through the use of interactive multimedia learning materials based on printed versions of DepEd-Bureau of Alternative Learning System’s (DepEd-BALS) core modules;

Commissioner. Duties and Responsibilities of CICT Under this AGREEMENT. Assist in the set-up of a working relationship between the parties involved in the implementation of the eSkwela Center. Miscellaneous Provisions 6.6 4 . It shall be composed of 1 representative from the Human Capital Development Group – eSkwela Project Management Office of CICT. CICT CONSUELO S. Assist in the monitoring and evaluation of the eSkwela Center’s operations.1 The electronic modules provided by CICT shall only be used within the Instructional Model of the eSkwela Center. All parties shall exert efforts in the establishment of partnerships with organizations that can help in sustaining the operations of the eSkwela Center. and sustain all aspects of the Center’s implementation.4 ANTONIO R. 6.9 4. Each party shall be responsible for claims of its employees for death or injury sustained in the course of performing their functions. Function of the local eSkwela Steering Committee A local Steering Committee shall be the eSkwela Center’s deciding body on matters other than day-to-day operations and management of the center as well as to oversee. D. The parties shall negotiate in good faith to resolve any dispute arising between the parties in respect of the interpretation of this Agreement and the performance of obligations hereunder. Conduct regular steering committee meetings to discuss and decide on concerns and issues pertinent to the e Center’s implementation and operation.
