The Wolf & the Seven Goats Once, there was a female goat with seven kids. The mother goat told her seven little kids to be aware of the big, bad wolf. One day, she went shopping to the market. After a while, there was a knock at the door. The kids knew it was not their mother because of the gruff voice and the black feet. The wolf waited at the door for a long time and he was beginning to get angry. The wolf went to the baker's to get some flour to make his feet white. Then he came back at the door again. The kids thought the wolf was their mother. They opened the door and saw not their mother but the wolf. They were terrified and tried to hide. The wolf leapt into the room and started looking for the little kids and ate them one by one, but he was so full that he spared one kid. Then, he went out of the house and slept under a big oak tree. When the mother goat came home, the spared kid told her what had happened. They went off to find the wolf with scissors, needle and thread. When they found the wolf, they cut the wolf's stomach and took out all the kids. Then they filled the wolf's stomach with stones. When the wolf woke up he went to the river to drink. But he was so heavy that he fell into the river and drowned. Task! Retell the story!

A CLEVER PRISONER A potato farmer was sent to prison just at the time when he should have been digging the ground for planting the new crop of potatoes. He knew that his wife was not strong enough to do the digging, although she could manage to do the planting. He also knew that none of his friends or neighbours would be willing to do the digging for him. So he wrote a letter to his wife saying, Please do not dig the potato field. I hid the money and gun there.

Ten days later, he got a letter from his wife saying, I think somebody must have read your letter before it left the prison. Some policemen came two days ago and dug up the entire potato field. What should I do now? The prisoner wrote back at once, Plant the potatoes, of course. TASK! Retell the story!

No problems for the first few stops, a few people got on, a few got off, and things went generally well. At the next stop, however, a big hulk of a guy got on. Six feet in height, built like a wrestler, arms hanging down to the ground. He glared at the driver and said, "Big John doesn't pay!" and sat down at the back. The driver was five feet in height, thin, and basically meek... Naturally, he didn't argue with Big John, but he wasn't happy about it. The next day the same thing happened. Big John got on again, said "Big John doesn't pay!" and sat down. And the next day, and the one after that, and so forth. This irritated the bus driver, who started losing sleep over the way Big John was taking advantage of his size. Finally he could stand it no longer. He signed up for body building program, karate, judo and all that good stuff. By the end of the summer, he had become quite strong; So on the next Monday, when Big John got on the bus and said, "Big John doesn't pay!" the driver stood up, glared back and screamed, "And why not?" With a surprised look on his face, Big John replied, "Big John has a Bus pass." Moral of the story: First be sure is there a problem before working hard to solve one. Task! Retell the story.
