Global Asset Allocation

The asset allocation of each Dow Jones Target Date Index evolves over time to reflect gradual reductions in potential risk. The index begins by measuring a more-aggressive portfolio that incurs approximately 90% of the risk of the all-stock index. Eventually, the index measures a conservative portfolio that incurs approximately 20% of the risk of the all-stock index. The Dow Jones Target Today Index aims to measure a constant risk level equivalent to 20% of the risk of the all-stock index and is a benchmark for a conservative, balanced portfolio that an investor might hold 10 years after reaching retirement. The index intends to measure approximately 28% of equity risk at the target date.
