BRAMCO (OMAN) LLC 1. Introduction:

Mr. V K Dewan who is himself a mining engineer from Indian School of Mines and is Chairman & CEO of BRAMCO group heads BRAMCO GROUP. The first flagship company i.e. BRAMCO WLL was established in 1977 and enjoys exclusive mining right in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Later with their dedicated & highly skilled professionals it has spread its wings in various group activities such as Metals (Steel and Aluminum), Engineering Services (Fabrication and Machining), Production of Non-Stick Cookware with German Technology, Aluminum Pressure Die-Casting, Water Desalination Plant, Processing and fixing of Natural Stones (Marble, Granite, Sandstone etc.), supply and installation of Siematic Kitchens, supply and installation of Weighing Machines etc. The following companies comprise the group: 1. BRAMCO (OMAN) LLC, a group company, was formed in 2003 and started mining operation for supplying low silica limestone to chemical, steel and cement industries. Apart from local sales and supply to Raisut Cement, Oman, India cements Ltd and Madras Cements Ltd for blending purpose, BRAMCO (OMAN) LLC have supplied to Steel Plants like RINL, JSW Steel Ltd, ESSAR Steel (through their procurement company i.e. Interface Global), Bhusan Power & Steel Ltd, SAIL, paper company like Tamilnadu Newsprint and Papers Ltd,

Ballarpur Industries Ltd, Soda Ash company like Tata Chemicals Ltd and other industries like Aranthangi Chemicals, KC Industrial Chemicals, Kudremukh Iron Ore Co. Ltd and High Grade Pellets Ltd.

3. Background:
Bramco Oman L.L.C. was established in Salalah (Sultanate of Oman) in order to do the mining activity of SMS grade / low silica lime stone and with a view to process and supply the required size and specifications product to the steel and cement manufacturers. Salalah is situated in the southern most part of Oman. The Port of Salalah is well connected with many important ports of various countries and has got very high business importance. As our mine is undergoing expansion/modernization, so is Salalah port. Bramco Oman L.L.C. quarry is located in a place called Mukhsail which is 35-40 km. from the Salalah Port. The range of hills available in this area has excellent potential & reserves for mining minerals particularly lime stone. The limestone in this area is very suitable for cement, Chemical and steel plants because of its low silica/ Iron/ Alkali contents.

4. PRODUCTION CAPACITY:
Bramco Oman L.L.C mine has an installed capacity of 2.5 mill MT per year. With its present capacity, it is able to meet entire demand of existing long-term customers. A list of principal mining & processing equipment is given below:

5. DETAILS OF OWNERSHIP:
Bahrain Industrial Investment Co. (B.I.I.C.) and Mohd. Ahmed Taher Establishment (MATE) are the shareholders of the Bramco (Oman) LLC in the following manner: BIIC 70 % MATE 30 %

6. FUTURE PLAN:

JV with SAIL/RINL ] Bramco (Oman) LLC has a future plan to increase its production and capture higher percentage of market share of Low silica limestone for steel industries. In addition it has future expansion plan for value addition, captive port facility and development of joint venture business with SAIL/RINL. We have already done the feasibility study for cement plant, obtained permissions from various authorities to set up a cement plant in Salalah. We have plans to set up a factory to produce precipitated limestone. In order to cater our increased demand of export of limestone, we are planning to setup a captive port facility. We have already started discussion with the port authority to have this facility.
